Not user friendly This may be a great app, but the ui is not user friendly. Found an old forum with a user guide, but even that assumes you already have in depth knowledge of the app.

Excellent offline trekking navigation Doesn't have a built-in map, you have to do-it-yourself. But it's so compact, and lag-free, that it's worth the extra effort. Moreover, you get the map that you really want. It also provides voice navigation, but again you have to plan ahead :)

Excelent app If you have a smartphone probably you could get a more user friendly application. But for outdoor activities, a smartphone is too delicate: the battery will drain very soon, if the rain catches you you should put it in a plastic bag, and that big display is an invitation to crack it. However, for the phones that are dedicated to outdoor (like Samsung B2710) this application is gold.

Absolutely not for beginners I downloaded it because I saw it in action, and it was honestly impressive. However, app requires strong knowledge of Unix file structures and is baffling to set up. Complex & detailed online help documentation is utterley impossible to understand for regular users, & full of dead pages. There are many other easy to use apps available, and I suggest those instead unless you are already familiar with this. I downloaded AlpineQuest and began using it within minutes with no trouble.

I did use it at Pripyat, Ukraine, during ghost town exploring and it works perfect. You need to know how to make ur maps, but its easy enough.
