Nice for offline nav... but... north? Tried it out today. But it became really confusing really fast when I couldn't select that up should be north... when I tried unchecking the direction towards driving I ended up with a map with north somewhat down on the right? I'm downloading a regular compass app now instead...

one of the best you can save real offline maps of any city any size. you can choose to download the map from google maps or bing or osm ...etc. you can add poi to the maps too. works well for me. thank you

Complete Package Thanks Mr. Robert, for this good App, Firstly, I could not download offline maps properly, but then someone reviewed about Mobile Atlas creator... And now, if you need Offline maps, download the maps in mobile atlas creator ... If you need to import your POIs, RMaps can do that too ... Also if you need offline navigation then, one can import custom tracks ... And hence a complete package ... Thanks again for this Great App ... Regards and Greetings from Pakistan ... Habib ...

Excelent Very nice app. I was looking for an app which is able to save and work with google maps (terrain especially) and this is the one. Very easy to save a region. A very nice option is that the app is able to save different regions in the same file, so you can build a larger map. For the developer: it would be interesting to have the option to save the overlays (in map or separately), or overlay two types of offline maps. Nice work:)

Poor I've spent about ten minutes trying to select a region on the map to save our for the offline use. Even though I am Android developer myself, I couldn't draw the region. I give up. No point to waste my time any longer. Uninstalled.

Offline sattelite doesn't fully work Google sattelite hardly finish downloading, the highest tile count (5000+) or more but when I successfully download the other tile sets they dont properly load

Can't get it to download I seems like all downloads stalls. No way to resume. You have to start over. I think that a resume download option is a must. I am uninstaling because I can't download and store offline maps. The rest of the application is nice. If you have better luck downloading from a slower internet maybe iy will be good. The problem here (dominican republic) is the 3g is very slow most of the time... It may not be the app fault. But a resume button would be nice so i would not have to start over.

Good, but I couldnt figure out for the life of me how to increase the text size without changing the overall settings on my Nexus4. RMaps is a good app offering lots of different maps, offline, but somehow I found it too cumbersome to navigate.

Great App I've used this app for a couple of years. Creating my own maps using trekbuddy then using them offline in the hills of Scotland. I have just tried the new download option to download a multimap uk os map. It seems to have create the sqlite file ok at the expected size, but when viewing the map is blank (loading). I'm sure Robert will solve this. Even without this new feature it's a great app.

Sounds Good But, too good to be true! I love the idea, but once I downloaded the maps, they never show up again. I can't pull them up at all, online or offline. They never show. What's the point. Fix the app! Oh, and why does it take forever to load the maps. Not cool, man...not cool.

Good but... Nice maps ago with a couple of issues: 1) Overlays seem to be for the zoom level above which looks like a weird parallax effect... 2) sometimes loading appears to hang - a little progress bar would help the UX here

Doesn't read a downloaded map I have the same experience as the previous post. The downloaded map did not show up. The screen showed "loading" but no map showed up. The developer needs to fix this bug. I have a Nexus 7 running 4.2.2.

Useless Downloaded a map of my area. The download is visible as a 4.3 mb file on my Galaxy S3 Mini but the app just doesn't see it. When I choose my saved map All I get is my 'position' in the middle of a blank screen.

Excellent I use this app for tracking walks and marking locations. Caches tiles so can be used with or without network connection. A wide selection of maps that are added to by the dev on request

Problem with satellite maps satellite view is available only till network level 15. From network 15 its not satellite view but a colorless normal maps. Is this a bug or is it made that way?

Great app, responsive developer. The app its self is the best for my mapping needs that I've found. It's clean, quick, stable and has all the features I value. I rely on having offline mapping databases on my SD card for when I'm hiking, out of data signal, travelling abroad, to save the battery a little and finally recycling old phones as offfline GPS units for family. All on a free / donation basis :-) I finally got round to buying the donation version after the developer responded to a bug I encountered, complete with a fixed build of the program the next day! Very few commercial developers will give you anything close to that level of support. Thanks to the dev for this great app and my highest recommendations to anyone considering installing or supporting it by donating. Some features I hope get added in the future: Ability to download non-rectangular regions of maps. Ability to remove regions from existing map databases. Search feature in POI list. Share tracks, POIs and maybe even small regions of map tile via bluetooth with other peoples phones running rmaps.

I don't get it... So it's an offline map app. But it only shows ur location on a downloaded map when offline. No navigation is really taking place unless u r online. Osmand provides search and navigation directions when offline...
