Somewhere in the universe, eavesdropping a dialog between Captain Picard and his crew… "Captain, this is fascinating! This new tool knows the names of the mountains I am looking at."
Experience the intriguing panorama of the peaks surrounding you.
Have you ever wondered "What is the name of that prominent peak over there?” – find the answer simply by taking a look through the camera of your iPhone or Android device.
The advanced segmentation and display algorithms show you all peak names without obstructing the marvelous panorama.

[2013-06-20] A Google User: Could be more accurate, but does provide names. I live in Telluride, this is my guide!! |
[2012-10-30] A Google User: Just not doing the job Orientation is between 45 and 180° off, distance wheel is just crazy with something like 30 steps, useless. |
[2012-09-21] A Google User: ok, but wrong orientation on samsung galaxy s3: wrong orientation. Peaks shown in camera view are 180 deg. wrong. |
[2012-08-23] A Google User: . Great idea, but position of peaks is very approximate and unsteady. Needs to be improved a lot. |
[2012-07-16] A Google User: Cant get data downloaded Looks like a great app but I cannot get the data to down load, also cannot contact builder to get help. |
[2012-06-01] A Google User: Useless while driving While driving I pointed this app at mt shasta. Mt shasta dominated our view for a good 10 minutes and this app never registered mt shasta. Instead it showed some random peaks that no one has heard of and I could not read the peaks that it does show because the names go off the screen and get cut off. Also I changed the units to imperial but it still shows metric. There is a lot of debugging to do! |
[2012-03-23] A Google User: Great idea Not working so well on rooted evo 4g running ics 4.03. Screen is tiled so you can't see anything. |
[2012-03-06] A Google User: Freezes (GS2) Great idea! Gets hung up on update. |
[2012-01-14] A Google User: NOT TRUE CHRIS It doesn't work on Your Android. Works great on my DX2. Only problem I have found is can't make the metric to imperial work. Oh, and yes it would be cool to be able to take a photo. Apple iOS sux. |
[2011-12-16] A Google User: Works well in sw BC, Canada... Very cool! |
[2011-11-26] A Google User: Fun but useful? Elevations are always in m no matter how I set in settings. Readings are usually a bit off target too. |
[2011-10-31] A Google User: Needs a lot of work before it's halfway decent When you turn your phone, the mountains change position, and the whole screen starts jerking around. It gets the position of mountains up to 20 degrees off even when you keep the phone steady for a while. |
[2011-09-01] A Google User: I live in Telluride, this is my guide!! |
[2011-08-19] A Google User: Works fine on Nexus one gingerbread & it's free!!! |
[2011-08-19] A Google User: Great app found it very Imformative on holiday in Austria. Just needs the option to take photo with the information on the screen |
[2011-08-04] A Google User: Every other app on my phone that needs GPS works no problem. But this just says it cans find a GPS position. It sucks. |
[2011-07-11] A Google User: Loved this on iOS but on Android, it doesn't even work. Went hiking on a new trail today, one where I knew I'd be able to see dozens of nearby peaks. Downloaded this app, and went on my way. Launched it on the trail, and it said there was an updated database. Well, I had just a weak GPRS data connection so there was no chance of downloading the 4MB update. I tried to ignore it, and the app crashed. Got home, downloaded the update, and it says the database is corrupt now. Sigh, uninstalling. |
[2011-05-11] A Google User: Would give 5 stars if: - show also cities, lakes, mpasses... - when rotating phone all peaks disappear at some constant position - deshake peak view |
