[2011-08-30] Liz: Never seemed to be able to access my position quick enough like other apps are able to do. |
[2011-08-21] jod: First impressions good. HTC DHD. Intuitive. Will try whilst out and about. (if location doesn't work, that's the phone, not the App.- spot on for me) |
[2011-08-21] Andrew: Marked locations or waypoints move when you change zoom level. It's brilliant to have OS 1:50000 maps on my phone but no good for navigation. |
[2011-08-18] leon: Rubbish, really poor app, says my current location is some random island, terrible |
[2011-08-15] Antony: Offline caching? Does the paid version have offline caching? The caching setting doesn't seen to make a difference in the free version? |
[2011-08-06] Required field cannot be left blank: Great, but advertising is intrusive on a small screen (HTC wildfire) |
[2011-07-16] Joe: Love it. Would've loved explorer scale as well as land ranger though. Still one of my faves. |
[2011-07-06] Duncan: Rubbish. Doesn't use proper OS maps, ie that show footpaths. |
[2011-06-23] Jen: Current location doesn't work for me even it works on Maps so it is a problem with the app. Would pay for the premium one if that works. Ginger bread. |
[2011-06-03] tommy: Could do with rotating map pointing the way youre facing. |
[2011-06-01] peter: Great but would be better if could download an area onto phone as it us slow or won't download current area map at all in countryside without the 3G |
[2011-05-25] Andy: Shows promise but so slow on updating map view. Slower than google maps by far. Maybe free ver limits map bandwidth as well as tiles. Does show footpa |
[2011-05-24] liz: No footpath or public right of way detail. pointless. |
[2011-05-07] James: V Poor. In order to use this app need WiFi connection to view maps. When you need OS maps you won't have access to WiFi. Maps should be on SD card. |
[2011-04-28] nemo2e4: Rather slow compared with Google Maps |
[2011-04-24] Bernie: Shame about OS's lack of detailed mapping ! First thought it was great & considered buying the non ad. version until I realised that the OS 'footpaths' coverage is poor / non existant when zoomed in ! Zoomed out, something like the London loop is there but way too vague to be useful, zoomed in, it disapears! A bit useless if you're in an unfamiliar area where there are a number of intersections ! The app. itself runs ok, shame about OS's lack of detailed mapping. |
[2011-04-19] Adrian: Great! Can be a little slow away from WiFi, but I wouldn't be without it. Amazing to have all OS maps for free. |
[2011-04-15] Kevin: If the maps could save to cache, this app would have 5 stars. Except for that vital flaw, it is fantastic. If phone dies and no reception, your lost! |
[2011-04-13] Till: Nice maps, but accesses my GPS all the time. Drains battery. Uninstalled. Nexus S |
[2011-04-10] B.: Good app. But, No Internet, no map! Locus is the best. Just download map by MOBAC copy & go offline! Download frm 29 map sources including OS UK map |
[2011-04-10] Big Johnny: Brilliant. High quality OS maps. Offline cache or download is repressed by OS, not the developer. Easy to use, very intuitive. |
[2011-04-05] B.: Good app. But, No Internet, no map! Locus is the best. Just download map by MOBAC copy & go offline! Downloaded frm 29 map sources including OS UK map |
[2011-03-29] muso_ed: Absolutely superb. Only bettered by the paid-for version (a measly 2 quid), which offers 1:25,000 mapping as well. |
[2011-03-11] Owen: Lovely looking app. No northen Ireland maps so no use for me and therefore technically not UK in its entirety. HTC desire. |
[2011-03-01] gary: Would not show map on screen |
[2011-02-01] Joe: Need a map legend. |
[2011-01-16] sarah: Brilliant. Amazing to get all UK OS maps for free. Thanks if you read this OS! |
[2010-12-18] Gerard: Stores map tiles locally, but will not work without adverts, so useless in offline mode. Uninstall & use Maverick instead. |
[2010-11-29] Jason: Great street view but for OS maps I use maverick which stores to SD as most places where an OS is useful has no signal. |
[2010-11-20] terence: Never loads maps quick enough. Utter rubbish. |
[2010-11-20] terence: Never loads maps quick enough. Utter rubbish. |
[2010-11-14] Philip: i love having the maps with me but have to use it like a paper map-the gps location is that slow! wildfire. |
[2010-11-04] Michael: Slow slow slow. Won't load maps? Even over WiFi? Poor app. Disappointing |
[2010-11-03] Tony: Useless, can't even work out where i am. Stick to Google |
[2010-10-30] biscuitlad: So slow it's barely usable, even over wifi. |
[2010-10-29] Paul: Not much use when there is no signal. Which is just when you need it. |
[2010-10-25] kingfu: Has alot of potential. Latest update seems to have broken tile loading. Am now using the "mm tracker" app instead for offline os maps! |
[2010-10-21] Glenn: Great - no more trouble with maps on the hills and easily portable |
[2010-10-19] Martyn: Really like this, need to try it on the moors with way points and stuff to really see. |
[2010-10-18] liam: OK. Frequently does not download all the required tiles |
[2010-10-17] Alan: Map doesn't load when used compass useless. |
[2010-10-14] Lorena: Latest update, even so takes ages to load. 9 times out of 10 I close the application. Shame as it is otherwise great. I hope the developer can fix it. |
[2010-10-11] Tode: Location search only returns one result for multiple matches. Will get paid version when search fixed. |
[2010-10-11] Jack: love it bloody fantastic.. |
[2010-10-10] Erin: Very good, esp the Aug reality. If you could cache a map sheet would pay a good amount for this |
[2010-10-05] fishyweb: Promising, but latest update does not refresh properly when zooming from 1:50000 to 1:10000 maps. Desire w/ Froyo |
[2010-10-05] stu: The only problem I found is that when you search for a location the place name is rather big and stays there obscuring the map. Great app though! |
[2010-10-02] Paul: Compass very erratic with a mind of its own. My Location not accurate. The rest is fine for free but don't expect detail as OS 1:25 |
[2010-10-01] Frank: Works fine on my desire. Pinch ok too |
[2010-09-24] Richard: Good app, 1:25k would be good, but can't see OS releasing that for free. Needs to cache data for poor signal areas - I'd go paid for that. |
[2010-09-23] Graeme: Took a long to refresh, the compass was 180' out!! And that took an age to settle.. it's a great idea but needs tweaking to get the refresh rate right |
[2010-09-23] Garry: Surely the best Android OS map viewer. Works well on my Froyo Desire. |
[2010-09-22] Lexman: Advertisements annoying but it's free. |
[2010-09-05] Andrew: Nice app. BUT WHATS POINT IN AR? All I get is a useless grid over laying camera view..COMPLETELY USELESS.. Also move to sd please... |
[2010-09-05] Sam: Good app |
[2010-09-05] Gez: Kewl! It's like an OS map that fits in my pocket! And has a phone attached! |
[2010-09-03] mathew: Excellent app great for evening walks |
[2010-09-03] Westy: Brilliant |
[2010-09-02] Rob: Exactly what I was looking for, thank you dev. |
[2010-08-31] stu33: Excellent app, gets better and better. |
[2010-08-31] Jamie of Dover: Okay, so the AR now works, but does it do anything? It shows nothing in any direction on the maximum radius of over three hundred miles. |
[2010-08-29] Fozzer: Could be bit quicker loading map but its improving with every update soon 5 stars |
[2010-08-29] James : Works some times. Can't reli on it as the paths chose when there going to apeer and when not. But its great when it works |
[2010-08-29] Zardoz: Working well |
[2010-08-24] Andrew: Nice app. but whats point in ar? All I get is a useless grid. Would be better if could see the os map so can see what should where you are looking... |
[2010-08-23] Jack: Larger cache for working in bad signal areas would be great. And more functions for the markers. This is the best of them all |
[2010-08-23] Péter: Great app. Does what it says on the tin, and well. :-) |
[2010-08-22] Paul: Works well with good phone signal. Would be useful though if could pre-plan route and cache appropriate maps to remove dependency on good signal |
[2010-08-21] Jamie of Hackney: Good map and GPS positioning works really well for me. Loses a star because the AR view does nothing but force close immediately. Desire with 2.1. |
[2010-08-20] Steven: Could do with a key to explain the symbols at the different zoom levels. |
[2010-08-19] Gerard: Could be a useful app, except maps load painfully slowly, even on WiFi or hsdpa, doesn't use gps for location and drains battery even when not in use. |
[2010-08-14] Chris: Now its not perfect but I'm happy, could you add the ability to cache a route in advance, maybe require a custom os account so people don't abuse it? |
[2010-08-14] Hugh: Very good, but killed by the fact it won't use gps on my hero. This makes it inaccurate to the point of uselessness. |
[2010-08-11] anthony: needs wifi to work on samsung galaxy s . |
[2010-08-09] Tode: Getting better, still some problems on Htc Desire. |
[2010-08-08] Peter: Brilliant alternative to Google maps for walkers |
[2010-08-07] John: A good app but the new useful addition of placename search often does nothing or comes up with poor results on my Desire. |
[2010-08-05] Simon: Works a dream on my wildfire. Wish I could get this for the pc. |
[2010-08-04] Lexman: Seems to work well. |
[2010-08-01] Craig: Great app, would it be possible to allow the user the option to stay on one map scale regardless of the level of zoom? ie always stay on 1-50k |
[2010-08-01] craig: Great app, would it be possible to allow the user the option to stay on one map scale regardless of the level of zoom? ie always stay on 1-50k |
[2010-07-25] Hallur: Drains battery! It's not very efficient at loading maps, as sometimes it starts loading other areas, and maps are lost when zooming. GPS not that good |
[2010-07-23] fraser: Great OS map, gps integration not perfect though |
[2010-07-19] Eddie: Fantastic, zoomable OS mapsm of the UK. Bonus that it has GPS integration. Works great on Xperia X10 Mini Pro. |
[2010-07-15] mark: Doesn't work at all. Completely useless i have HTC desire |
[2010-07-15] steven: Works great for me on HTC desire, if only os would let us cache the maps it would be perfect |
