[2013-07-28] A Google User: Overall not bad Some strange route suggestions but pretty good otherwise. Off line maps a distinct advantage, best downloaded via a pc. Openstreetmaps haven't updated for several months though.... |
[2013-07-11] A Google User: Dead The app is basically dead now. No map or application updates in months now and the last app updates did not change much |
[2013-06-04] A Google User: update this app gui!! please update the app gui we need a better application!! |
[2013-05-24] A Google User: Good for cheap offline app Bit rough at the edges but great for a cheap offline GPS app. |
[2013-05-01] A Google User: Great offline maps Have had this app for 3+ years now. Great substitute for when you have no signal. Better than Google maps on quite often. Clear cache or reinstall if you have issues. |
[2013-04-30] A Google User: Among OSM navigators one of the worst ... I have tried. Missing many addresses, POI's, streets, ... that others (i.e. Navigator, OsmAnd+, ...) have. Never got response from their support, next day or within hour in middle of nigh from both Navigator and OsmAnd+ authors. |
[2013-04-27] A Google User: Fast and Smart I love it. Works well. It quick in recalulating the route, accurate and dependable. Better than many sophisticated applications.Fully off-line. Search method is not satisfactory. |
[2013-03-23] A Google User: Absolutely awesome This app helped me navigate around Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Australia and New Zealand. It was excellent. Highly recommended. Used a crappy Vodafone 845 (Huawei U8120) at the time and now have a Samsung S3. Works great in New Zealand and am about to try it in China. Thanks dev. |
[2013-02-06] A Google User: Using Open Street Maps... for off-line navigation (whereever you are) is really useful. Thanks for this great app! It was the first off-line navigation software I used on my smart phone and I still do so very often. |
[2013-01-13] A Google User: Works great, need to add a few things though This is great navigation map, but I do wish they add to record my own directions and somehow share it to other people. Also an option to send through SMS my current location which can be read by navdroyd. |
[2012-10-28] A Google User: It's okay The price was right and it gets you generally where you need to go. There are some features I'd like to see, but overall I'm satisfied. |
[2012-10-09] A Google User: Good one Good application, naturally it doesnt have many cool features but it is ridiculously cheap! For that price it is a great navigation with free maps, considering that offline navigations tend to cost even 10 times more. I traveled half of Europe with it and it was just fine. There is only 1 thing missing-a possiblity to choose intermediate destination in my trip. This can be a big pain, e.g. in Vienna the navigation always directs me to highway even if my final destination is 500m away! Please, please add this feature and the app will be perfect. But besides that a good navigation for small money, much recommended. |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Kind of ok Does the job in a clunky way. It's great for the price. With the most recent update, people complained it broke, so I avoided it. Updates are very few and far between. I stuck with it for a long time. Uninstalled. |
[2012-09-14] A Google User: Good but ... Very power hungry on Huawai and roads often disappear mid-journey. Slow to start. No problem with selected routes but address form too specific at times. Worth using and better for me than Sygic which crashes on me. |
[2012-08-25] A Google User: Outstanding What is wrong with you lot? The app gets you from A to B safely, it does it without confusing you, it even features Points Of Interest, and it all costs about £5. I have been using this for a good few months now, and while it does have its fair share of problems, it does what it says. And quite well. I hope for a new update soon, but I just wish people would stop acting like this is supposed to be better than a Tom Tom. |
[2012-08-21] A Google User: Useless I have yet to see this program find a single address in new York state. |
[2012-08-16] A Google User: Always updated, great app Love this app, updated quite often and the maps are great! Love the app! |
[2012-08-08] A Google User: Nice...:-) very nice navigation....:-) |
[2012-08-01] A Google User: Europe Travel July 2012 Good for finding way through towns and good reminder of speed limits Could really use further options for route planning such as " travel via" and " avoid tolls?" |
[2012-07-25] A Google User: Needs move to SD! Hope this version crashes less than the last!! Please give move to SD option... |
[2012-07-20] A Google User: Almost useless On the nexus 7, although the maps show the location....almost, the navigation/routing takes you via the most unlikely places and in circles. The voice instructions tell you to turn left onto a road and then tells you to turn right onto the same road within seconds. The control button doesn't work in several modes. On a freeway it seems to think that you are on the slip road whenever possible. |
[2012-07-20] A Google User: Crashes before opening. |
[2012-07-17] A Google User: Almost usable Most of all it lacks the "edit route" functionality... Come on guys, this one is essential! |
[2012-07-11] A Google User: Useful but far from polished Looks like it got better in last year. Still not good, but quite useful. |
[2012-07-09] A Google User: SE Experia Neo V No Navigation Voice on Sony Ericsson Experia Neo V, ICS 4.0.4 fix it!!!! |
[2012-07-08] A Google User: obsolete just use OsmAnd instead, as it is superior in every aspect and is free: it uses both online and offline maps, better interface, much faster download of map , better magement of points of interest better internal search engine (NavDroyd quick search never finds anything), interaction with clipboard. Currently this is just 5€ thrown away. |
[2012-07-07] A Google User: Not there yet! Most bridges are missing from maps, makes it unusable. |
[2012-06-29] A Google User: Doesn't keep previous addresses |
[2012-06-28] A Google User: Will not keep "my location" while scrolling on map Dev promised a fix ages ago, and had been unresponsive. Download osmand instead, it's much better |
[2012-06-26] A Google User: Cheap but far from acceptable performancee It is fast to connect to satellite, fast to calculate and recalculate routes. It is a nightmare to search for an address. |
[2012-06-25] A Google User: Worthless Had to buy the app to find out that routing doesn't work. Very annoying. Waste of money, deinstalled. |
[2012-06-25] A Google User: threat to privacy Why would a navigation software need read access to contact data?!? |
[2012-06-22] A Google User: my main offline navigation app but needs a lot of improvement. There are 2 main gripes i have with this app: 1. It easily gets closed in the background or navigation/routing is canceled when i switch to another app such as messaging. It should stay running in the background unless I explicitly exited or canceled it. 2. POI search seems hoky/unreliable. It doesn't come up with the result I want even though I can clearly see the POI available on the map. |
[2012-06-22] A Google User: Great for philippine maps Great gps device for the philippines. Also included some remote provinces. The tech support is also great. However, search function not so good. |
[2012-06-22] A Google User: I use it every day Works better when you have Gps booster lite installed,on Samsung Galaxy S2.Not perfect but steadily improving |
[2012-06-22] A Google User: MapDroyd MapDroyd and NavDroyd can't use each other's maps. |
[2012-06-22] A Google User: Very good offline navigation. Recent problem is that it crashes if other app eg speed camera in background mode. Essential app for offline navigation. Needs move to SD. |
[2012-06-20] A Google User: Update on permissions It was a good app that really helped me find my way multiple times abroad where I didn't have data connectivity. For those asking about the new permissions, I asked the devs and here is their reply: "Contact data is used for using own contacts as start or destination points for routing. Log permission is asked to make NavDroyd more stable. We see no other chance than looking into system log." I hope this helps! |
[2012-06-17] A Google User: Great Nav app Good app about 80-90% accurate for Metro Manila |
[2012-06-16] A Google User: Can not navigation I can not get navigation, it keeps showing "resolving your location, wait for gps. |
[2012-06-16] A Google User: New permissions Why does this need to read sensitive log files now? |
[2012-06-13] A Google User: Why would they suddenly need that access? I’ve been using this app for a while and quite like it, however, since the 8 June update, worryingly, phone permissions on this PAID for app, have been changed to allow the reading of the customers personal information, without any apparent customer opt-out. *Your personal information* *read contact data* Allows the app to read all of the contact (address) data stored on your tablet. Malicious apps may use this to send your data to other people. Allows the app to read all of the contact (address) data stored on your phone. This allows it to discover general information about what you are doing with the tablet, potentially including personal or private information. Why would they suddenly need that access/ information - go figure! |
[2012-06-10] A Google User: Stillnot working across europe.... Since the last 3-4 version can not calculate route from NL to Hungary. Please fix. |
[2012-06-10] A Google User: Read sensitive log data permissions What is this new permission used for? |
[2012-06-09] A Google User: A Asks for too many sensitive permissions. |
[2012-06-09] A Google User: Fantastic In an living on am area with large mountains and valley's, this app has saved me many a time. Although there are bugs and oddities I can't rate less that 5 stars. |
[2012-06-09] A Google User: Read sensitive log data??? I suppose this is a slipup and will be corrected immediately |
[2012-06-09] A Google User: Wtf?! Why would this app need access to personal information and sensitive data suddenly??? 1 star till fixed. |
[2012-05-26] A Google User: Map issues now. After latest update, updated maps but only got original base map (major highways) until the app was force stopped and then started again. Seems there's some issue after updating. |
[2012-05-26] A Google User: Worth it Cheap, efficient way to take a navigation help on holiday. Just don't forget your charger, windscreen mount & to update the maps before you leave home. |
[2012-05-25] A Google User: Great with limitations Have used in several countries, and it has not let me down. However the search function is a pain, and I usually insert Pins using Google Maps. When the search improves this will be a very good application. |
[2012-05-25] A Google User: Works Great Works great on HTC Desire S, it's not perfect but in this price range it's the best offline Navigation available. Been using it in La Palma, no probs. |
[2012-05-18] A Google User: VERY TERRIBLE work in the USA Programs do not find ADDRESSES!!! Not good. Money lost. Fully payed, uninstalled, not happy... |
[2012-05-15] A Google User: Crashes This used to be ok, not brilliant in terms of route calculation but ok as cheap gps only option. But it now makes my phone overheat and keeps crashing. |
[2012-05-15] A Google User: BAD THING IF THE DEVELOPER DONT FIX THIS i already purchase the latest navdroyd about 3 hour ago, it is running well, but when i update the map, the map isnt loaded and after that the application suddenly closed this app require map, but cannot load the map, insane! i need my money back if this application cann not be used i am using HUAWEI ideos slim S7 tablet |
[2012-05-15] A Google User: Unusable on DHD Completely unusable on Desire HD. Constantly crashes and terminates. MapDroyd doesn't seen to be affected by loading issues which plague this app. |
[2012-05-07] A Google User: Nice beta software Very nice rendering. Left-side driving will need some work. Eg we "take the third exit" to turn right at a roundabout and we keep left at intersections with split traffic. |
[2012-05-05] A Google User: good and nice support |
[2012-05-03] A Google User: Very good app -No automatic northorientation setting. -Map POI are only displayed at a very close view (Setting?) +fast offline maps +Good POI search Street, City works very well |
[2012-05-02] A Google User: 5% Not good, bad planing of the route, money lost. Fully payed, uninstalled, not happy... |
[2012-04-21] A Google User: Awful interface This has to be the most frustrating and anti-intuitive interface I've ever used on a nav program. Totally unusable while driving or walking. Only strength is openstreetmap data. |
[2012-04-15] A Google User: Needs alot of work Very ugly! |
[2012-04-13] A Google User: Stupid - Needs Work - Frustrating Well it worked well for a while. Then today, it wanted to update the program. After the update is could not find any maps !! The maps are right there on the SD card, I can see them, the size is right, but the program wants all maps loaded again. Useless. Will have to find a wifi to get the maps downloaded again on external SD card. Golden Rule Of SW Updates => Regression Testing. Do not harm what is working. |
[2012-04-13] A Google User: Best value for money GPS Navigation out there. |
[2012-04-12] A Google User: Really good I drove 1700 miles from UK to France and back last week. Never let me down. Brill. |
[2012-04-10] A Google User: nice great apps |
[2012-04-06] A Google User: Sport cuts please! It is a pretty good value app... If you travel much you NEED this... Only need short cuts in widget format |
[2012-04-06] A Google User: unbrauchbar |
[2012-04-06] A Google User: Very good app I'm not an expert in navis, but given the price this one has my heart. Takes a little time to get used to and search is unsatisfactory. Another one, when in Thailand there is no way to switch to english even though places can be found by using search in english. But these minuses are nothing compared to the great service it provides. Big thanks to the dev team, 5 stars well deserved. |
[2012-04-02] A Google User: Needs background map-updates Great offline maps app. Prefer this for simplicity over locus. But the updater needs to be in the foreground for updates to download.. Very annoying, please fix |
[2012-04-01] A Google User: Recent update is ok At last, searching for nearby places works. Searching right on the search bar still sucks, better to use the address form. |
[2012-03-29] A Google User: Suggest color change. Orange color of route sometimes difficult to see next to red motorway color |
[2012-03-28] A Google User: Perfect, good navigation app The idea to take OSM is fantastic. The app works pretty well and the price tag is just yet in the limit. |
[2012-03-26] A Google User: Neglected.. I think the developer made this app to drink beer..... |
[2012-03-26] A Google User: Great but still needs improvment One of the best offline GPS worth your money. Just make sure its a mid to high end.phone. Will give 5 stars when they make downloading of maps easier. Has some via pc map issues. Must be atleast froyo 2.2 |
[2012-03-20] A Google User: Missing OSM data |
[2012-03-19] A Google User: Crap Time and mony waster |
[2012-03-13] A Google User: Need better maps script and please name more POI. |
[2012-03-03] A Google User: Not good enough Terrible search. Why doesn't use the same maps as MapDroid? |
[2012-03-03] Alex: Not good enough Terrible search. Why doesn't use the same maps as MapDroid? |

[2012-03-02] sentiao: MapDroyd MapDroyd and NavDroyd can't use each other's maps. |
[2012-03-02] JS: Useful but far from polished Clunky user interface. Terrible search. Routing crashed for long distances. No updates in a while. Uninstall. |
[2012-02-28] A Google User: Can't download maps Downloading maps via pc results in different maps being installed instead of the requested ones. So I can't get any nav data :( galaxy nexus ics |
[2012-02-28] A Google User: Finds the shortest route regardless of road quality. Expect to drive a few cart tracks beside the motorway! Search is cumbersome. Map update is slow. |
[2012-02-28] Chris C: Can't download maps Downloading maps via pc results in different maps being installed instead of the requested ones. So I can't get any nav data :( galaxy nexus ics |

[2012-02-28] TallSteve: Finds the shortest route regardless of road quality. Expect to drive a few cart tracks beside the motorway! Search is cumbersome. Map update is slow. |
[2012-02-20] kiril.zyapkov: Missing OSM data No city maps for Bulgaria, only. a couple of highways. OSMhas it all. Utter FAIL. |

[2012-02-14] A Google User: Italian Maps not detailed Unfortunately the Italian maps are not detailed enough. This does not allow to use in NavDroyd in Italy. |
[2012-02-14] Lorenzo Parisi: Italian Maps not detailed Unfortunately the Italian maps are not detailed enough. This does not allow to use in NavDroyd in Italy. |
[2012-02-10] rithambhara: Nav Droid: I love it. Works well. Announcing 'distance to the following' is useless. Instead guiding with reference to following junctions is convenient (as in Nav Free). It quick in recalulating the route, accurate and dependable. Better than many sophisticated applications. |
[2012-02-09] A Google User: Not working at all since software upgrade and navdroyds support has been at best pitiful. |
[2012-02-09] Nigel: Not working at all since software upgrade and navdroyds support has been at best pitiful. |
