[2011-09-22] sandyshanlichen: no updates during your journey In order to get updates of your journey during your journey (when delays frequently occur), you must input a future station and the end station. You cannot see your own journey once the train has logged into the station where you 'started' your journey. Additionally, usability needs improvement. Once you get use to how the app works, it's ok, but it would be helpful to include things like: arrival time (in the beginning screen, rather than having to click on individual journeys to find the arrival time. |
[2011-09-21] Anton: Used to work really well but now crashes and needs FC. HTC Desire, 2.2, even tried rebooting, syllable mo luck. |
[2011-09-18] Citanest: Excellent, very functional. |
[2011-09-14] TARAK: Doesn't recognise the new London overground East London line stations. |
[2011-09-13] Vivimagic: Very useful and great UI. Icon does not support high res screens. Wish when searching for station pressing the search button will bring the keyboard Desire S |
[2011-09-08] Hal: Provides plenty of information, but app looses history when going switching to another app. Recent journey results seem to disappear sometimes too. |
[2011-09-01] Matt: This used to be a good app but when I try to look up train times now I always get this message "Sorry, there has been a problem getting any results" |
[2011-08-28] Matt: UI is not obvious at first but app works well. Would be nice to get updates about a train after it has left the station. |
[2011-08-28] Tim Shields: Great app. Can you hi-res this badboy? |
[2011-08-27] j๏ภ-ςค๓єг๏ภ: Works well on HTC Sensation Some reviews are wrong.. you CAN search A to Z as well as typing first few letters and it DOES work on 2.3.x versions of Android! This is a great app. |
[2011-08-26] Chris Walton: Brilliant! Brilliant app - easy to search for train times, check for updates on services, even checking fares! Like the timer on the widgets too |
[2011-08-25] Nick: Doesn't work on 2.3 |
[2011-08-22] Tim: Could be a great app if you could SEARCH for a station... Rather than from map or A to Z list. Also favourites doesn't work... |
[2011-08-22] CompactDistance: 'via' option when planning a train route doesn't work. |
[2011-08-21] Dan: Excellent Use it every day, generally more accurate and uptodate than the terminals at the train station. |
[2011-08-16] Michael: Excellent Great app and visually pleasing. |
[2011-08-15] Terence: Cannot seem to change destinations. No instructions or help on this App. A waste of money. |
[2011-08-13] tearecords: W |
[2011-08-10] Carl: Crap. Always says service is unavailable. Waste of money. |
[2011-08-05] Dan: Can we have a link to purchase the tickets we looked up? That would give this nifty app 5 stars. |
[2011-08-01] Sebastian: Seems to have stopped working, which is a shame. Used to be good but now always complains that the NRE feed is down. |
[2011-07-27] Chris: Please show fast trains with an icon. Eg Paddington to reading fast trains, will save looking at details of all departures to find the quickest. |
[2011-07-24] Ahmad Najat: Like other reviewers, the favorites does NOT work, crap UI and not organised! ! Very embarrassing! !! |
[2011-07-20] Lembo: Use the widget every day. Comes in handy with alternative trains for us delayed commuters. |
[2011-07-18] Iain: This is really crap. Favourites doesn't work. C'mon explain it to me! The UI is v cumbersome, no support, no feedback except via market. Awful. |
[2011-07-17] mark_odell: Widget works for a day, then is unable to load. Desire/froyo |
[2011-07-06] Adrian: Doesn't work on gingerbread properly, happy to review if bugs get fixed |
[2011-07-06] Michael: Looks good and works great, also includes London tube status. |
[2011-06-22] Jacquie: Worth the money. Quite accurate. I like the graphic of the track with the rough train position. Nice if more positions but limited by rail data. |
[2011-06-22] Hugh: Using this and thales app lots for last 4months I never use thus app anymore. It's frustratingly slow to use. Too many clicks to get a route plan. |
[2011-06-21] alan: Not working on HTC sensation |
[2011-06-20] k.beel: Pretty good app for us train travellers around the UK. What issues it has are usually caused by the Railtrack server not the app Big version for tabs? |
[2011-06-08] the 6/9/2011 Used to work. Alas, not on Gingerbread. |
[2011-06-07] Paul: This app does not work. You cannot select stations. |
[2011-06-05] JD: Unable to input any stations on HTC desire with latest Android release - waiting for fix |
[2011-06-03] Alekos: It does exactly what it says on the tin. |
[2011-05-30] The Machine: It works! |
[2011-05-11] Chris: Disappointed. I thought this was the Android version of the excellent iPhone app - it isn't (if it is, it is a poor quality port). Don't waste $$$ |
[2011-05-06] IanL: Excellent app - has via option for Journey Planner which Thales app lacks |
[2011-05-06] Richard : Never worked properly |
[2011-05-05] Richard: Fast, attractive and very useful |
[2011-05-05] ridpath: Excellent. |
[2011-05-04] Ben: This is first rate, really quick and the platform numbers make it an invaluable tool. |
[2011-05-03] 234_48_4: Worth every penny; whether you use the train daily or only once a year. |
[2011-04-30] inder: This is a brilliant time saver, widget is pants tho so it lost one star :P -htc wildfire |
[2011-04-29] jontycampbell: Cuts out confusion at railroad stations. Great. |
[2011-04-27] Joáber: Very good application, light, fast and up to date with the trains timetables. I do recommend. |
[2011-04-25] Alvaro: Moving the app to external memory makes the widget inaccessible. Oberon than that, OK. |
[2011-04-19] Eltomo: Not anywhere near as good as Thales app! Don't waste your money... |
[2011-04-19] Conor: Does what its meant to. |

[2011-04-12] Jennifer: I use trains all the time, and this app is unbelievably helpful! |
[2011-04-06] Angel: Have had this first on iPhone, and now on Android for over 3 years, suddenly I can't produce widget. Is this because I moved app to sd card? |
[2011-04-05] Jim: User to love it and use constantly until I realised it didn't show all available trains. |
[2011-04-01] Péter: Missing the stations on the East London Line and between Airdrie and Bathgate. |
[2011-03-30] Emma: I use this regularly and have not had any problems as yet. Very good app, worth paying for! |
[2011-03-27] Stephen: The widgets disapearred today????????? :( |
[2011-03-24] Chris: Doesn't work, eastern of money |
[2011-03-22] Alex H: Excellent app. Really pleased with it! |
[2011-03-17] Robin: Seems much quicker of late - any reason. Great application. |
[2011-03-14] Ian: Im sure its just me, but it does not work, just crashes without loading. Any ideas? |
[2011-03-13] Pete: Great. Nice to use. Gives live info, including which platform your train is at. Forget looking at station display boards, just glance at your phone. |
[2011-03-08] David: Does exactly what it claims to, and does it well |
[2011-03-03] Jeremy: Expensive and widget breaks if you try and move app to SD card. |
[2011-03-01] psd: Really clunky and difficult to use, expensive application. Better to just use web sites. |
[2011-02-28] Robert: Would be nice if medium widget updated automatically, then 5* |
[2011-02-21] Eoin: Saves me time every day |
[2011-02-16] Andy: This app doesn't work, the Api it calls to get info has been down since I bought the app. This app should be removed from the app store. Beware |
[2011-02-16] Matthew: Best train app by far and from a small independent uk based developer not a massive foreign multinational like alternatives! |
[2011-02-16] petew: Works well. Perfect for the commuter or casual train user. |
[2011-02-14] Saira: Brilliant app if you use national rail a lot. Keeps me up to date with delays and ETAs even before the station says so! Desire. |
[2011-02-14] Abbey: Rubbish. Always a problem even though all other apps work. Don't waste your time. |
[2011-02-13] Sid: I work on the trains, this is a very good app |
[2011-02-13] Leigh: Delay reporting from Liverpool St now much better but it does time out quite often even though data connection is fine for other apps at the same time |
[2011-02-12] Lynn: Brilliant app use it all the time |
[2011-02-12] Alex: Great app, use it every day. Good updates too. |
[2011-02-11] John: Very useful app. Great to check my commute. Any inaccuracies will, I expect, be due to accurate source data |
[2011-02-11] Phil: Very useful. |
[2011-02-10] Mike: Made all his customers pay twice for the same app just because national rail changed t&cs. Thieving bastred |
[2011-02-10] Thomas: Terrible usability and non refundable once purchased! Really disappointed. Rail Planner is far better. |
[2011-02-09] Huw: Great, use every day, Huw |
[2011-02-08] Joseph: Works quite smoothly, but regularly misses out trains or gives innacurate results. What is the point of a train timetable that is 'sort of' accurate?! |
[2011-02-08] Orange: Awesome, interface for widget is very rough and clumsy |
[2011-02-07] Richard: Very useful app :-) Slicker than official Thales version. |
[2011-02-04] John: The live part doesn't keep you updated throughout the journey making it pointless. But what it does do, it does well. |
[2011-02-03] Fantomas: It very seldom works for me due to "data connection" problems. I've since uninstalled and changed to Rail Planner Live (much better). |
[2011-02-01] Christopher: Not as polished as Rail Planner. Disappointed. |
[2011-01-30] Lee: Do not buy as it does not open and.no refund given |
[2011-01-30] Sean: Spot on. Be good to include train/tube maps but I guess we'd pay more for the privilege. |
[2011-01-30] Andy: Saved the day with usual Sunday disruption on BR. Really fast on desire. |
[2011-01-29] Nathan: If you want to buy any train app on the market buy this one. It does what it says on the tin. Great for students like me. Ignore all the haters. |
[2011-01-27] Barry: Great app. Saves trawling national rail enquiries site |
[2011-01-27] Matt: Brilliant live train info, platforms all full fair info. It's saved the day many times. Oh and the price is set by national rail not dev |
[2011-01-27] LowestOfTheLow: Frequently get issues trying to get train times saying cannot connect if I then browse to live departure boards get info I want for free. |
[2011-01-25] sammi: Perfect for all departures and arrivals at waterloo. |
[2011-01-24] Mike: Spot on. Saved me on loads of occasions!! Different widget backgrounds a must though. Please Mr. Developer. (HTC Desire HD). |
[2011-01-23] Dale: Brilliant. Could update quicker though |
[2011-01-20] Patrick: Cant save the journey you've planned to look at as u go, the live arrivals and departures section just does not make sense whilst on journey. Xperia m |
[2011-01-20] Edward: Good app but wish it was full screen on my galaxy tab |
[2010-11-05] ian: Very good app with great widgets. However it fails to pick up on late running trains and frustratingly says on time when the train isn't. Data feed ? |
