Maverick Pro (v. 1.95) Разработано Code Sector |
Use offline maps and GPS even without an internet connection. This app is great for hiking, boating, geocaching and other outdoor activities.

• Share your current or planned position
You can send address, GPS coordinates, link to Google Maps and even map image.
• Navigate easily

• Save places you visit
All waypoint stored in KML file and can be viewed and edited in Google Earth.
• Record tracks with single tap
Tracks are recorded in GPX format and can be viewed in Google Earth and other software. Share GPX files via email or DropBox.
• Upload tracks to GPSies
Free account is required for uploading.
• Trip Computer
Watch speed, altitude, pitch and many other values.
• Honeycomb-optimized interface
Only in Pro version:
• Unlimited waypoints and tracks

[2012-02-08] Ulf: No development Nothing much seems to happen in terms of development. Please add bulk download... |
[2012-02-07] Jim's books: Worth it Use it all the time. Hiking biking kayaking. |

[2012-01-11] paul: Great app I was planning to buy a GPS plus UK OS Explorer maps for £400+ until I came across Maverick - £3.17 for the same functionality! It's fantastic. I map out walk and bike routes on my PC, and then I scroll the same routes on my Galaxy while linked to wifi - usually twice so I have both 1:25K and 1:50K maps to play with. It takes about 10 minutes to scroll through a 1-week walk. The map tiles are cached to sd card so I don't need a data link while I'm in the hills. I can also build a route on the PC (I use either Memory Map or Quo2), convert to a track, save in .gpx format and then download to Galaxy in the mavericktracks directory using the Kies software. I can then check my gps position against the downloaded track. My wishlist now would be, the ability to display a downloaded track (say in red) while recording the live track in blue. And a waterproof case for a Galaxy Ace with a built in large battery... |
[2012-01-07] Mark: Ice cream sandwich Was a great app, but it is very unstable since getting my galaxy nexus. Cannot even change from meters to miles. |
[2012-01-07] Horace: Bad performance If I could do it again I would buy lotus pro |
[2011-12-26] Marcus E: Useless w/o Google maps update: useless w/o gMaps. Poor resolution of GPS signal when Google maps picks up location nearly immediately. Stays on old location without updating. Stops recording track. |
[2011-12-25] spencer: Ruined without Google's maps No reason to have without Google's maps....hope its not because dev was to cheap to pay for them |
[2011-12-24] Wolfgang: No customer service! Had technical issues with this app but the developer doesn't reply to emails. |
[2011-12-20] sam: Google have destroyed this app I am sorry for this developer. Google are low for request to not use their maps. Why can anyone tell me. Developer has not replied to my email either. |
[2011-12-10] Rohan: Great for Offline Navigation |
[2011-11-29] Dan: Google Google don't be evil. |
[2011-11-29] mark: Great app I use for ice fishing and other outdoor activities. |
[2011-11-21] Heath: Great app |
[2011-11-15] Daniil: See locus Thanks to devs and goopple. Locus is way better. |
[2011-11-11] Darrin: Very good program. Out of all the different GPS programs this is by far a good program. |
[2011-10-28] Scott: Great app! I use it for hiking and kayaking. I love how it caches my maps for when I lose my data connection. With plenty of maps to choose from. |
[2011-10-18] Corbin: Used to be better Used to be a really good app. No Google maps kind of knocked it. Plots fairly well. New map provider would help |
[2011-10-12] andy: Marking down because location marker obscures map right where you need to see detail. Complained to dev months ago but no response. V disappointing. |
[2011-10-10] Gabor41: Used to be good I used this for awhile, even purchased it. However I would recommend Lotus Pro instead. Does everything that Maverick does, but better and has a lot more features. Constant updates also. |
[2011-10-04] Philipp: Without google maps only half fun ... Bing and osm or ok |
[2011-10-04] kampoln: Tiles downloading and caching disabled by google I purchased but can not expand map from google So i want to know how to solve this problem |
[2011-10-02] DayTripper Diva: Amazing map and function quality. Looking forward to using off-road! Add heart-rate monitor. |
[2011-09-27] Chris: Great app. To those who say this app is now worthless you are sorely mistaken. All it takes is to hit menu and select a different map provider. Best gps app. |
[2011-09-25] Aaron: A must have! |
[2011-09-17] Michael: Does just what it promises. Pity about the lack of Google Maps, but the other choices are OK. Would like to see an 'approaching waypoint' warning. |
[2011-09-14] Wally: Great maps app Fantastic maps app. Waypoints and offline mapping capability are excellent. Very occasionally crashes when entering waypoints. |
[2011-09-13] Susan: No problems at all I use this app to keep a record of my tracks through the woods, and to geotag mushroom collecting sites, as well as other nifty waypoints. Take pictures to associate with the points, share the tracks, etc. Just an all-around great app. |
[2011-09-10] Anonymous: Oops That should read gps, stupid spell check |
[2011-09-09] Lee: Great app - EXCELLENT IT SUPPORT! |
[2011-09-07] Arie: Don't upgrade from 1.94! If you want to use Google maps offline, don't upgrade from the version 1.94! Or downgrade back ... |
[2011-09-07] John: Ovi/bing maps just as good. |
[2011-09-07] shelleyfrank: Still great! Google will do that.. I don't blame you. Still great to be able to choose between different map services. Similar to MGMaps I had on my java phone. |
[2011-09-06] Andy: Stopped displaying Google maps Useless. |
[2011-09-02] Royce: Offline maps and tracking...great app! |
[2011-09-02] Justin Harney: Was awesome... No more google maps tiles downloading? Can I get my money back? |
[2011-09-01] alonsoportal: Was great Now it doesn't work with google tiles by request from google, according to message shown on app. Now its worthless for the use I was giving to it. |
[2011-08-31] Jefferson: Perfect app. The best. |
[2011-08-31] Kostya: Works great on HTC Sensation I use it for walking navigation. Amazing support for many different map servers. |
[2011-08-29] rc0: My favourite GPS app overall With the choice of maps, including offline storage, and the responsive UI, this is my favourite of the map apps I've tried. Two things I lack though : 1) a way to add text notes to tracks that export as waypoints in GPX (so I can use Maverick instead of OSMTracker), and 2) a way to clear a user-defined region of the tile cache - so I can get the latest OpenStreetMap tiles for areas I know have changed. |
[2011-08-27] WorkingOnWise: Limited Usefulness. I got this with expectations of having the entire USA maps on my tablet. The method for actually getting maps is clunky and unstable. Waste of $ |
[2011-08-26] Hannah: Perfect for having an OS map while geocaching. |
[2011-08-22] Nithin: The best navigation app on android market. Can't live without it |
[2011-08-22] tungtambaovi: Please add option move data to external SD card (my phone is Samsung Galaxy i9000) |
[2011-08-22] Heath: Darn Google... Great navigation app.. but I'm backing up this app now that google killed the only reason I bought it:(.. not updating.. |
[2011-08-21] Laco: 2 Google: 'Thanks' Google for your restriction! |
[2011-08-21] red: Just PERFECT! |
[2011-08-20] Michael: No longer able to cache Google Maps tiles... Loses a star for that. |
[2011-08-20] AgentShark: Screw Google Maps, use OSM. |
[2011-08-20] zygis1941: In general it is good, but crashes very often when taking photos during track. Not reliable |
[2011-08-20] Jeff: Best I've found! hooray, finely a gps app whose UI I can almost understand! 5 minutes learning curve and you're ready to go, but it could still use some online help |
[2011-08-14] cd-card-biz: fantastic app! I have tried a lot of similar apps. Maverick rules! Good interface, easy to use, this is a 5-star app all the way. Running on Droid X. |
[2011-08-04] kevinp: Brilliant. A great looking and functioning app. It's fantastic to have OS maps at your fingertips. |
[2011-08-01] Mike: This app does what it claims and does it very well. Combine it with Mobile Atlas Creator and I now have a very capable nav aid. |
[2011-07-31] Chris: Fine app if a little tricky to handle. One thing - it does not close itself so will empty your battery if not force closed. |
[2011-07-28] Gaz: Great app. Tried a few programs, this is the best I have found for UK walking. |
[2011-07-22] Dan: Fantastic software, very nice UI and fast powerful and functional software. Fast fix to problems. A++++ |
[2011-07-19] Sergei: Unable to acess SD card? WTF? Why the constantly shifting icon??? The app is headed downhill. Sad. Down 2 stars. |
[2011-07-18] sal: Still no way to view recorded track details. |
[2011-07-18] thomas: Since last update every time I try to edit a waypoint, it crashes. Until the last update, it worked fine. |
[2011-07-18] cynic: SQLite support pleeease! 5* if you implement it!! |
[2011-07-17] Hellooldchap: Fantastic app. I upgraded from the lite version as the developers deserve the pay. Desi HD. |
[2011-07-16] Petres: I have tried many others but found this one to be the best. Caches maps including OS & works in flight mode |
[2011-07-13] Henry: Great app! Im a delievery driver and use this to point out every stop I do. It gives me the big picture. So far no problem. |
[2011-07-13] Xenobio: Updates have been good. Remaining quibble is, in "radar" view, speed in lower left is hard to see bc map icon covering. |
[2011-07-12] Delian: I like the old icon better too. |
[2011-07-12] Kevin: Would be perfect but the compass is off by 80° on my Asus Transformer. But works perfectly on my Samsung Epic. |
[2011-07-11] Abu Night:
[2011-07-11] cteeee: Can we go back to the old icon? |
[2011-07-11] Joe: Could you add an option for marking tracks as 4x4 trails? |
[2011-07-11] Warren: Great App This app is a 6 out of 5. The only issue I have are: a) There is no google maps downloader, so it's manual only. Tile images are stored as '.tile' so no easy to write your own google maps downloader. b) You cannot easily set the maps cache to be on your MicroSD. Though this is possible with setting a linux redirect...(low level stuff) c) You cannot set data to be WiFi only Otherwise it's absolutely fantastic. |
[2011-07-08] Monty: Great app. UK OS maps are very useful to recce places |
[2011-07-07] Hypercubed: One of my must have apps. |
[2011-07-06] David: I like! |
[2011-07-01] Robert: Minor bug: FC's when viewing waypoints list in Landscape mode on Dell Streak (OK in Portrait, and map view OK in both). Still an excellent app. |

[2011-06-25] Caidyn: This app saved my life when I got blown off course at lake tahoe!! |
[2011-06-18] skywalker: Excellet software. Very good GPS signal resolution. Start to lock the location from 4 satellite in range. Very useful possibility to have on one screen all important information like coordinates, speed, altitude, the amount of satellite in range, etc. |
[2011-06-14] zorwick: Easy and usefull. Saved me a few times when I was traveling. |
[2011-06-14] Alan: Excellent, good offline map handling and accjurate tracking. |
[2011-06-13] anunez: I love this app I have this app on my N1 and it works fine I love it.. but the maps on my acer tablet running Android 3.0 keep flickering, its annoying since i have to keep closing the app every 2 minutes. The menu option is not showing up on android 3.0, hence i'm unable to change the view to landscape mode. Please fix for android 3.0 |
[2011-06-11] kerry: Great app to navigate the waters this is it. I love it, free version does everything but I bought the pro simply to support more great apps. Awesome |
[2011-06-01] Alastair: Really useful app that works well in the great outdoors. Cached offline maps are such a benefit. Haven't spotted any bugs or issues. Easy interface. |
[2011-05-27] David: Great little app. Easy to use and great feature set. In an update I'd like to see a settings option to show compass bearing in degees. |
[2011-05-23] Elias: Gave it a chance and I was positively surprised with a real offline GPS navigation that works. |
[2011-05-19] John: Good app so far like it alot |

[2011-05-03] the 5/8/2011 : Nice GUI, but only a better storage will make this app truly useful in the backcountry. See AlpineQuest! |
[2011-05-02] Javier: I tested this app for a good while before purchasing. Well worth the money. Good job developers. I would like to track up as i drive, possible? |
[2011-04-27] WS: Downloaded 25 Mb of data and displayed no map (Google satelite). Does not close properly and still uses the battery when does nothig. Useless app. |

[2011-04-11] the 4/13/2011 One thing unsure of is insertion of straight lines which seemingly add to your distance. In process of mentioning to creators. Otherwise very good app |
