[2012-09-17] julianh72: Won't install on Google Nexus 7 Installed fine on my Sony Xperia U phone and generic Chinese 9.7" tablet (running Android 4.1 Jellybean), but won't install on Google Nexus 7. Contacted Lonely Planet, and their response was: "Unfortunately there is no planned update for our Compass guides at this time. For some newer devices there may be some compatibility issues, which is why you may be having a problem on your tablet." Seriously?! They have "no planned update" to get the apps to run on current-generation Androids, including the Nexus 7, which is one of the most powerful, most affordable, and probably the best selling tablet in the world today? (Not to mention that it is THE official Google reference device for Android 4.1 - if there is a compatibility issue, it is with the App's code, NOT the tablet!) |
