Japan Trains (v. 3.3a) Разработано Extremeambient |
Japan Trains is the first application for Android in Romaji that allows us to find train routes and schedules in Japan, in the vein of: Hyperdia, Jorudan...
If you cannot find desired station, you can use % character as wildcard. For example: AZA%BAN will display AZABU-JUBAN station. SHIN%KOBE will display SHIN-KOBE...
Important: Hyperdia has changed stations names, so it is necessary to upgrade. No support will be given unless you upgrade the application to the latest version.

[2013-10-28] A Google User: Brilliant app to help navigate your way around Japan via the efficient train systems. |
[2013-10-23] A Google User: I survived Japan trip by this app! |
[2013-10-05] A Google User: Bless you! This application is a real life saver :) |
[2013-10-01] A Google User: Excellent app, history page is especially useful. |
[2013-09-26] A Google User: Absolutely essential in Japan I thought that going to the hyperdia website would be enough, but this app is just so easy to use. I love the send to calendar feature, which was broken in the previous version, but quickly fixed by the developer. Some suggestions: -I just wish you could add your monthly subsidy into the equation for more accurate accounting. -First and last train for the day, just like the Hyperdia app |
[2013-09-13] A Google User: Useful I like that it presents a drop down of names as you type |
[2013-09-05] A Google User: Has gotten worse unable to find tamaplaza which is a major station in tokyo. Or the majority of odakyu line stations. Poor updates. Edit: this is database name issue not apo. app is still awesome! |
[2013-07-14] A Google User: List of time stops/station order would be nice Vertical display needs tweaking to fit in all characters. |
[2013-07-03] A Google User: Excellent and invaluable 3 days into my holiday in Japan and this app had been incredibly useful. It has saved me so much time wandering around wondering where to go. With little effort I'm navigating through Tokyo like a local. The exporting to calendar is really useful for journeys with multiple transfers. |
[2013-06-20] A Google User: Excelent App!! Definitely recommend this app to anyone travelling to Japan, very accurate and a must have when utilising Japan's train system. |
[2013-04-28] A Google User: Mandatory Mandatory with jr pass |
[2013-04-24] A Google User: Excellent! Can't travel thru Japan without it! |
[2013-04-01] A Google User: Good app... Good app, but we need offline. For example, for iPhone is Metro, same app but offline. |
[2013-03-26] A Google User: Good app but crippled Gets you the right info but doesn't save you history. Nice touch to add it to calendar or save to clipboard. |
[2013-03-02] A Google User: Good but do not rely on the track numbers. Overall useful during my trip all over Japan using the JR pass but DO NOT RELY ON THE TRACK NUMBERS PROVIDED. It was wrong frequently so double check which track your desired train leaves from before getting on. This is more of an issue with Hyperdia than with the app itself but should still be noted by people using the app. |
[2013-02-16] A Google User: The best for gaijins Ive ben using this app for about 2 years, but now I have to use an iphone. For my frustration, no iphone version! So, do you have plans to release it for iphones? the other apps are bllsht! |
[2013-02-13] A Google User: Sux Get hyeperdia no adds and actually works reliably! |
[2013-02-09] A Google User: Meh Good app, but thimes are fucked. What it says takes 50 minutes often takes 80 - 90. |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: Daily use,perfect It really helped me..just wish if I could use offline...thanks |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: The only app to use Have been using this for around a year now. After a few months of bad lag when searching for stations the flaw seems to be ironed out now. History function seems to still be unfinished. But station names are working properly again. Its definitely heading in the right direction though. |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: HTC inspire 4 g Not sure why you guys need access to my calendar. Feels a little invasive!!! Would bump the stars up if this wasn't so. |
[2013-01-07] A Google User: Useful tool I have used this app all over Japan. The times are accurate and even the most remote stations are on the database. It's a very useful tool that comes in handy every day. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Good App, But Added Ads Bad Needs PRO version on Google Play that has NO ADs. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Awesome! Work really well, no lag but could use an integrated JR rail map for visual ease. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Life savior for any gaikokujin Must have app. for those who can't read and write in kanji and speak perfect Japanese. Thank you guys for this great app. |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: Missing major stations Edit: Update Jan 2013 is missing major stations like Hiroo. Very poor update! Slow as all hell, the UI is unless and painful to use, please fix hiroo station it just errors trying to goto it. |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Hmmm Used this app for two years, now its laggy with recent addition of ads. Still no Last Train option. Switched to NorikaeAnnai (乗換案内). Much more useful and doesn't lag. |
[2012-12-27] A Google User: Unfortunate Thank you for this great app. Helped me out for a long time. It's a pity it won't find a few stations along the rinkai line anymore, which I need everyday (Tokyoteleport, Kokusaitenjijo,...). An error comes up when confirming with either one of these stations. Please fix that asap - otherwise your app unfortunately becomes useless for me and many users. |
[2012-12-22] A Google User: Great Thanks for fixing this the same day it broke. I use it every day and I'd be lost without it! To those who are missing private lines, make sure to enable the option in the settings for the latest version. |
[2012-12-21] A Google User: Was Great Was a Great program, although some stations were spelled incorrectly (ex. M when should be N) now all stations in to block are not found |
[2012-12-19] A Google User: Easy to use A lot more simple to understand even for Japanese users! |
[2012-12-06] A Google User: OMG!! Before the new edition ... The station name when entered in English worked like a charm for this app. But now my station´s name comes up with an error ... Please fix!!!! |
[2012-12-01] A Google User: Prefect! This app help a lot. |
[2012-11-29] A Google User: Almost perfect For the most part, this app does a great job. I've had a few issues where it doesn't provide alternate and easier routes within one minute of its suggetions. It is the only one I use. |
[2012-11-24] A Google User: Badly designed If you see a train which arrives AND leaves at the same time, it's just switching lines. Do NOT get off of the train (by following the information the app creator supplied). |
[2012-11-18] A Google User: Thief Why this application needs my confidential informations? Uninstalled... |
[2012-11-12] A Google User: Japan trains Excellent a life saver if you can't read Japanese |
[2012-11-12] A Google User: Hyperdia isn't good at all Now I'm searching alternative app . The functionality of this app is almost perfect but the database it uses (Hyperdia) isn't good. It just can't find routes I want to find unlike rurubu.com. |
[2012-11-10] A Google User: Always works. Great program in a little package. Been using it since I moved to Tokyo a couple years ago. Never let's me down. |
[2012-10-22] A Google User: Works well, strange button Finally, yes. It all works fine even on tablets. The context menu is hidden behind the search/magnifying glass tab. The Dev calls it the "active tab" or "white tab". Counterintuitive this is. Suggestion: including "Next train" and "Prior train" buttons would be helpful. |
[2012-10-08] A Google User: Great App Love it great for English folks |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Thanks!! Works great after most recent update!! Thank you for fixing the problem!! |
[2012-10-02] A Google User: History I love this app. I use it every day! Unfortunately the History is not kept. I HOPE THAT SOON THERE WILL BE A FAVORITE SECTION. I TRAVEL THE SAME ROUTES OFTEN. IT WOULD BE NICE TO SET A FEW FAVORITES FOR QUICK SEARCHES. |
[2012-09-27] A Google User: Best APP This is the best train app for Japan!!! I use it all the time. |
[2012-09-27] A Google User: Crashes on startup ASUS TRANSFORMER INFINITY --Fujitsu crashes on startup every time. |
[2012-09-23] A Google User: Essential This app has become a part of my weekly travels, very reliable and always helping me get where I need to go. One suggestion would be to show all the stops in-between the start and end but otherwise great work! |
[2012-09-20] A Google User: Great app for everyday life in Japan Phrase fix this bug: entering return in a text field creates a second line in that text field instead of going to the next text field. Please fix this annoying bug... A must have app if u live in japan, history opion is even excellent... |
[2012-09-15] A Google User: Ads? Ok! People, this app is free. Free. Just that. Stop whining about the ads, the app is so useful and saved me loads of time and nerves. Still has some small annoying ux bugs though :) |
[2012-09-15] A Google User: Was better pre-ads, but... For a free app, I cannot begrudge them using them. Besides, this app is brilliant for getting around Japan and Tokyo. Highly recommended for reserving seats with a JR rail pass. |
[2012-09-12] A Google User: Love it! Best train app I have used. Much easier than going to a website for english. No with Japanese, solid app! |
[2012-09-12] A Google User: Ads. Brrrrrrr.. I loved it before the ads came. At that time I would have given 5 stars. This version is annoying. I lost my mood. |
[2012-08-27] A Google User: Must have Must have application for living in Japan |
[2012-08-26] A Google User: Best app for backpackers!! It's the easiest and fastest app to search the relative routes if you wanna travel in Japan. The map is the best support if you're not sure which stations you have to go. |
[2012-08-26] A Google User: Just missing specific filters... Awesome, convenient ap! But if they could install filters depending on your location in Japan, such as Kanto, Kansai, etc., that would be perfect. I don't need to know there is a Tabata in both Nagano and Tokyo. |
[2012-08-19] A Google User: Nice! Does what it say's in English, up to date and accurate, customisable filters on price, number of stops, distance, etc... Ideal. |
[2012-08-19] Bastiaan: Nice! Does what it say's in English, up to date and accurate, customisable filters on price, number of stops, distance, etc... Ideal. |
[2012-08-17] Jay: Good App Very good for tourists and foreigners working or living in Japan. Creator should keep improving this good app. Would like to see NO AD version. Check settings to add Nozomi and Airplane routes (answer to other poster) |
[2012-07-31] A Google User: Incomplete? I tried and tried but I couldn't get data for Nozomi times, only Hikari and Kodama. |
[2012-07-31] Abrt: The best for gaijins This app is essenrial for my life in JP. It works very well. I would like to see a new option for tracing routes, which you jyst need to click in the map and it would point the nearest stations. Is it possible to introduce bus routes? |
[2012-07-31] James: Incomplete? I tried and tried but I couldn't get data for Nozomi times, only Hikari and Kodama. |

[2012-05-23] A Google User: Exactly what you'd expect Working like a charm. Can also keep the history of searches, which lets you check the schedule again offline. Just strange behavior with the time and dates, it will change the month if you pass the day from the last day to the first. Just not used to it. |
