You will find seat availability for all schedule flights all over the world . The app will show what is available for sale right now and this can include what they plan to overbook the flight with.
This is very helpful for standby passengers.
Most of the low cost airlines are not in this system.
Please note that the results are´t 100 percent accurate. It is impossible to gather completely accurate information about each airline.
I did the application to myself, but due to high demand, I put it back into a market. The application is a beta version, but it works.

[2011-09-02] Alex: Good but ... ... could you clarify how the spare seats are calculated? Do you get information on the available inventory? Or is it from adding up the seats available in each booking class? I understand that booking classes may be nested in which case the total can be greater than the actual spare seats. On small commuter aircraft (eg. 19 seats) it can actually far exceed the number of seats on the plane. Great start but always good to understand the underlying assumptions, thanks :-) |
