GPS Logger for Android (v. 1.1.7) Разработано Mendhak |
A lightweight, battery efficient GPS Logger. The purpose of this app is to log your GPS coordinates at specified intervals to a file on your SD card. This app runs in the background so that you can on a long walk, hike, flight ride or photo session or even go buy some milk and have this running as long as possible. Once you're back at your computer, you can then use the files to geotag photos, upload to travel sites, view in Google Earth and so on.
Features:
* Specify time intervals
* Specify distance intervals
* Cell phone tower or GPS satellites
* GPX and/or KML files
* Shows a notification
* Use phone time or satellite time
* Imperial display units
* Auto start on boot
* Auto email every few hours
* OpenStreetMap - upload GPS traces
Bugs, feature requests, questions - please submit them to gpslogger.codeplex.com (issue tracker).
Notes:
GPSLogger is not a MyTracks replacement. MyTracks is meant for short use (as it has a lot of features running), GPSLogger is meant to last a long time.
A data connection is used by this app only if you use auto-email or OpenStreetMap features.
If there's a feature that you feel the app should have, you can submit a feature request on the codeplex site.

[2011-07-20] SHW: Fantasic App! Please make the recent "No Provider=>No Logging" feature an Option. I frequently use the app to "keep a GPS lock" for faster locating. |
[2011-07-11] doyle: I ran this during a three day backpacking trip with all other services off. With logging set to every 300 seconds it used less than 20% battery. |
[2011-07-02] Daniel: Unreliable When I have upload a track I often it had stopped recording half way through, even though it appeared to be recording okay. Not usable with this bug. |
[2011-06-28] iKill80: Motorola Spice blank <coordinates/> Do I need to get a licence or something it seems to be working and picks up coordinates but in the KML file the tag is allways blank. It seems to be a good low battery consumption app but i cant get it to work. |
[2011-06-24] kentino: It said not responding asking me to wait or force quit after I changed apps on my Defy. Same problem others reporting. Switching to another logger now |
[2011-06-22] Job: Great idea. Too bad it's unreliable. HTC Desire S |
[2011-06-13] Brian: Great app when it works. Unreliable for now. Force close or stops recording. High hopes when it is fixed. Mytouch 4g cyanomod 7. |
[2011-06-03] scrank: Great app. Please consider having the option not to zip the emailed file. It makes automation trickier. Very well programmed. |
[2011-05-31] Chuck: Only logs for a while, then seems to switch off on my Samsung epic 4g Froyo 2.2 |
[2011-05-26] Lohan: Force close on launch since I entered Gmail details. Will retry after update ... |
[2011-05-17] Ollie: Bug keeps crashing app, otherwise fantastic On a Motorola Droid there seems to be some bug where certain settings cause it to crash. When it crashes, it can't even be force-stopped. I have to delete all data related to the app and then restart it again, resetting my settings. I suspect an issue with file permissions. Bug always occurs when hitting start/stop. Price of the paid version is quite fair. |
[2011-05-14] Joel: Self-restarting bug indeed fixed, can now recommend. Best gps app. |
[2011-05-04] Anthony: Awesome app, used for EMC survey for USAF when Garmin wouldn't log to computer. |
[2011-05-02] Bj: I use this program daily. It was good. Just updated now it locks up. Cant even force close. No longer even collects the data i want. |
[2011-04-30] Clayton: Bought pro and neither auto email nor seemymap work. |
[2011-04-30] Thomas : Super! |
[2011-04-25] Andrew: Good, but.... How do I stop it starting by itself? Pathetic. |
[2011-04-25] MrMMM: Useless This free version is useless you can only log and view on the screen, to share or save you'll have to buy the paid version |
[2011-04-24] stri: Starts logging automatically, even after manually stopping... |
[2011-04-19] Jon: Breaks GPS for all applications including google maps. Restarts only help for a short time. Droid X |
[2011-04-16] Flex: Not bad. However, seems to stop logging intermittently - I suspect a daily reboot may be needed to stop this happening. |
[2011-03-19] MarkBT: Works fine, but keeps starting up by itself when I haven't asked it to. |
[2011-03-07] Sohail: location broadcast by sms needed. its good to see location broadcasted by email in the pro version. similar function needed to broadcast by SMS |
[2011-02-20] hello: Seems good until it randomly starts logging all by itself. Please fix. |
[2011-02-10] Chris: Auto launches itself randomly. |
[2011-02-07] Larry: I also had it constantly show notification that it was logging even though I kept stopping it. Uninstalled. |
[2011-01-29] Andrew: Keeps turning on and recording my position even when stopped. |
[2011-01-25] Rod: Latest version is crap keeps randomly switching on wasting battery |
[2011-01-23] Kevin: Love it |
[2011-01-23] Indy: With the correction of writing UTC to the gpx files, this app has earned the five stars I'm giving it. |
[2011-01-23] Pat: Simplest and best app for generating track files for geotagging photos taken with any camera other than the phone's own camera |
[2011-01-13] rajsatish: this app sucks,unistalling |
[2011-01-13] rajsatish: this app sucks,unistalling |
[2011-01-03] N: Was hoping it would show km/hr. Seems it does not. UnInstalling |
[2010-12-27] dburr: Works well with Aperture Places feature. |
[2010-12-23] Stephen: some display issues: clock does NOT respect phone's 24-hour setting, lat/long have way too many digits (even L1/L2 gps isn't that good in theory) |
[2010-12-22] Waga: Good, but when importing to google earth. It doesn't display altitude on pin points. Can that be fixed? Is there another method of storing the path? |
[2010-11-30] olejorgenb: Must start/stop logging if gps signal is lost for a long period and doesn't handle switching between cell and gps. Disappointing. |
[2010-11-05] Thany: Works as advertised. But after a few hours of logging, it seems to start draining the battery much more quickly. |
[2010-09-13] Misato: Does exactly as described, even recording track points. Lasted 9 hours on my old htc Hero, in 45 temps and rain on mtb. s |
[2010-08-29] t0rx: Overwrites own files if set in file-per-day mode, and doesn't record anything unless another app forces GPS lock (e.g. LBSTestMode). On Galaxy S. |
[2010-08-24] Erik: interval works really bad, need cpu wakelock otherwise 60seconds could become 30minutes wich makes app useless (nexus one) |
[2010-08-24] Radovan: Stops working everytime I pushed it to background after a while. It shows icon, but it's not logging. |
[2010-08-08] Bjarne: Sux - used this to log a long bicycle ride - but when the day was done only the first 30 min. was logged :( |
[2010-08-04] Seb: Nice.Should be great if it can first rely on cell gps for speed and inside buildings,then (if available) to true gps. Now, its gps OR celltowers gps. |
[2010-08-02] Andrew: Bit uncertain about this "pro" version floating around. But good for detailed OpenStreetMap work, or long-running route recording. |
[2010-08-01] Jonathan: Needs to run as service so that it doesn't get killed. |
[2010-07-25] Rogier: Great little app. Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Clean interface, easy to set up, what more could you want... |
[2010-07-14] Marc M: Only logs per minute? Why? |
[2010-07-02] Pete: So good! Record cycling routes to gpx files, import them into Google Maps, post links to club website. Perfect. |
[2010-06-28] Koelemay: Absolutely perfect, just what i was looking for to geotag photos |
[2010-06-06] D: Excellent app and runs in the background without any hassle. Does not hammer the battery like some logging apps do. Recommended |
[2010-06-06] Darren: Excellent app and runs in the background without any hassle. Does not hammer the battery like some logging apps do. Recommended |
[2010-05-30] Radovan: On my Nexus 2.2 it lost GPS (GPS symbol in tray disappears) and frozen after about 30 min run. |
[2010-05-23] Steve: It works but it would be great to have options for timing. Once per minute isn't enough for driving. |
[2010-05-02] Radmer: Nice'n'simpel |
[2010-05-02] Erik: interval works really bad, need cpu wakelock otherwise 60seconds could become 30minutes wich makes app useless (nexus one) |
[2010-05-01] André: Excellent tool. A bit hungry on battery (draws from 100% to 0 in 6 hours of 5-second logging). |
[2010-04-30] Ronald: Trying to make my phone a car logger, need autostart/auto-on options & better recovery so it starts up again, maybe a service option? Very nice app! |
[2010-04-30] G1: Trying to make my phone a car logger, need autostart/auto-on options & better recovery so it starts up again, maybe a service option? Very nice app! |

[2010-04-26] Joshua: Exactly what I needed. |
[2010-04-22] Donald: Thank you mendhak. Works on my HTC Desire. Logged to both KML andGPX. Imported the KML file into Google maps. Recommend. |
[2010-04-21] Paul: Works well. |
[2010-04-21] sova: Exactly what I was looking for! Superb app. |
[2010-04-15] Bryan: Would be great if it started automatically after a reboot. |
[2010-04-07] Bruce: Very good and useful. |
[2010-03-31] Augusto: Would be nice if it automatically turned GPS on/off at set intervals |
[2010-03-28] Bruno: Great app, works beautifully with trailrunner. Only complaint i have is that if it stops getting gps signal theres no audible alert. |
[2010-03-18] Sky: This background GPS recording is perfect! I can return home from unkown point like jangle by back tracking used offline map with this logs. |
[2010-03-16] Duncan Barnes: Worked great on recent Iceland trip, few occasions when it had stopped recording and needed a restart which was annoying |
[2010-03-12] Peter: Very nice application. Simple to use and worked flawlessly x x x |
[2010-03-08] Andrew: Good for detailed OpenStreetMap work, or long-running route recording. Responsive dev. |
[2010-03-02] debbie: No frills, no fuss no useless bloated complex functionalities to boggle the mind. Perfect in its simplicity. kudos to the developer! |
[2010-03-02] Philip: Very nice app. Simple and easy to use interface. |
[2010-03-01] Chris: Cant beat MyTracks. Nice but too basic for me. |
[2010-02-28] John: 5 stars for idea and program. Need to make avail. Ablity to change from meters to feet in settings. Email dev. Timely response. will be fixing. |
[2010-02-25] Stephen: Simple and light weight. Active developer too! Thanks! |
[2010-02-22] Alex: Use with GPicSync to geotag photos- ace. |
[2010-02-20] android: Lightweight app. Doesn't seem to reduce battery life much. Local storage of coordinates is awesome. |
[2010-02-20] Res_: Great application but when I load my kml file in gearth it only comes up as a point instead of a route. |
[2010-02-19] Dwight: Luv this app. Work in conservation and is handy as heck. Thanks to all the dev. |
[2010-02-18] Ken: Great app! Works exactly as described. |
