AlpineQuest GPS Hiking (v. 1.3.12) Разработано Psyberia |
AlpineQuest GPS Hiking is the complete solution for all outdoor activities and sports, including hiking, running, trailing, hunting, sailing, geocaching, off-road navigation and much more.
You can access and store locally a large range of on-line topographic maps, which will remain available even while being out of cell coverage. AlpineQuest also supports on-board file based maps, like MemoryMap(c) maps.
By using the GPS and the magnetic sensor of your device (with compass display), getting lost is part of the past: you are localized in real-time on the map, which can also be oriented to match where you are looking at.
Save and retrieve landmarks, share them with your friends. Track your path, get advanced statistics and interactive graphics. You won't have anymore question about what you can accomplish.
By staying fully operational out of cell coverage (as often in mountain or abroad), AlpineQuest assists you in all your desires of deep wilderness exploring...
Don't hesitate, try the free Lite version right now!
Note: IGN Top25(c) and OSGB Explorer(c) maps are available in MemoryMap(c) format, but NOT included with the application.

[2013-01-31] A Google User: very good |
[2013-01-29] A Google User: Superb ....and it's free, therefore it gets 5 stars from me, and I don't know how anyone could be so mean not to rate it highly. I use it with my old memory map files on Galaxy S3 and it kicks memory map's butt. Not yet exhausted all of the features but can live with any rough edges as it has fewer rough edges than memory map - who wanted more money off me to run maps I have already paid them a lot of ££££s for. This app has saved me lots more money as I was about to sever with memory map and go satmap for replacement OS maps. Time to move on, anyone need a road angel GPS? |
[2013-01-28] A Google User: Great app Works fine with my maps, great app thank you |
[2013-01-24] A Google User: AlpineQuest Absolutely brilliant & at an even better price, I have been using the Free version for a fair while, but now I have taken the plunge and bought the full version, as a Survival Instructor this has been a crucial piece of kit... go on...treat yourself. |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Fantastic app Way better than memory map for android. The interface is well designed and smooth. Tried the free version then bought the full app 5 minutes later. Currently running it on my gs2 and a nexus 7. Fantastic! |
[2012-12-08] A Google User: Would love zephyr heart rate Heart rate over bluetooth would make this app a give stars |
[2012-12-02] A Google User: Great Awesome app. Wish I wouldve tried it b4 I bought my Garmin etrex... Combined with MOBAC and some HTML knowledge, very powerful little tool. 5 stars if tracks and localization had a quick toggle. |
[2012-12-02] A Google User: Excellent Just got the paid version...let you no |
[2012-11-28] A Google User: Great app! I'm a new user and so far Alpine Quest has been easy to learn. |
[2012-11-26] A Google User: Glyn Certainly one of the best hiking assist apps around --brilliant tracking--plentiful choice of maps recomend this one. |
[2012-11-25] A Google User: Superb If you are looking for a mapping app for any off road activities, this is the one to get. |
[2012-11-25] A Google User: Impossible file management Managing/organizing/renaming the files and folders after you've created tracks is very difficult and confusing. Afterall one should be able to manage the files from a laptop but apparently that's not allowed. You even risk loosing waypoints if you don't follow a specific sequence of events (which I have yet to discover). Nothing is intuitive or follows standard windows logic. Everything gets dumped into one folder. And with no instructions on how to manage files it's very frustrating. Poor on-line support. |
[2012-11-24] A Google User: Great Works great once u get the hang of it |
[2012-11-24] A Google User: Great asp Alpine quest had served me excellently in numerous places abroad as I havedownloaded maps for offline use then used GPS and other features of alpine quest to navigate. |
[2012-11-23] A Google User: Alpinequest is great Use it all the time for biking and walking with memory map qct files |
[2012-11-22] A Google User: Great app!!! Most useful and versatile mapping app for outdoor enthusiasts. Love it!! |
[2012-11-19] A Google User: Truly magnificent! I use AlpineQuest for all my navigation needs, both backcountry and on the highway. It reads and stores waypoints and tracks in standard .gpx format, making it easy to exchange GPS data with other sites. And, while it can seamlessly pull in good maps from the free Cloud (e.g. ,Google or OSM), what's even better is that it works with maps I create using custom data on the PC. (Use MAPC2MAPC to convert to .aqm format.) A 2nd-hand cheap gizmo w/o service or WiFi beats a costly Garmin. |
[2012-11-19] A Google User: Awesome app! A perfect companion to the more adventurous outdoor enthusiast and easy to use by all. I use this for identifying trails or rock climbs and its especially well suited if you use maps stored on your phone or sd card. A great tool! |
[2012-11-19] A Google User: It's rhe greatest qct reader Just what you need to get around and can use all of your existing maps. It's brilliant. |
[2012-11-18] A Google User: New user Needs option to measure and download form other than current location. |
[2012-11-18] A Google User: Really nice hiking app |
[2012-11-10] A Google User: Excellent Essential mountrain trail app |
[2012-11-09] A Google User: Brilliant!!! Been waiting for a phone OS map that I could use offline for ages then Alpinequest came along...it is fantastic, I go off roading in my Landrover and this is everything I could wish for! |
[2012-11-07] A Google User: j steward Does exactly what it says better than any GPS I have tried.. |
[2012-11-02] A Google User: Best tracking application. Deserves 6 stars. |
[2012-11-01] A Google User: One of my best purchases I really like this GPS software. Uses great maps, caches them, is fast and never had any problem. Uses full screen so it maximizes the mapping experience |
[2012-10-31] A Google User: Worth every penny. Used it in Snowdonia. Works perfectly. Better than expensive dedicated handheld GPS's. |
[2012-10-31] A Google User: The perfect solution... By far a better solution than falling victim to the Garmin monopoly. Creating your own maps can be somewhat complicated, but in the end worth it, as Garmin can't deliver the maps needed and without ripping the public off. Try hiking through the Greek Islands with a product from them and you'll immediately regret it. The maps dont exist. With Alpine Quest you have everything you need at your fingertips including crucial topographical info such as contour lines etc. 5 stars guys, well done! |
[2012-10-31] A Google User: AQ Must have for any outdoor activity |
[2012-10-30] A Google User: Great app! But... I just wish there was a better way to save offline maps other than taking an hour to scroll across the area you want at each zoom level. See google maps as reference. They have a very nice and painless method for saving offline areas at all zoom levels. |
[2012-10-29] A Google User: Awesomesauce. |
[2012-10-26] A Google User: Great working app Would definitely recommend |
[2012-10-24] A Google User: Magnifique Excellent app, runs more reliably than Viewranger on my Motorola Defy. The fact that it provides at least two ways of getting FREE ordnance survey mapping makes it worth many times the price. |
[2012-10-22] A Google User: Finally I've tried a lot of these type of apps, none of them seem to do the trick or are just way too complicated to use. This one works and is easy to use once you get the hang of it. Great for downloading off line maps to use in areas where you can't get signal like on mountains and in forests. Saved my bacon numerous times while trying to find my tent in the wilderness in the dark. |
[2012-10-19] A Google User: Just what I wanted Excellent! |
[2012-10-17] A Google User: Great app Love the improvements. Thanks for one of the best apps for hiking and Geocaching. |
[2012-10-15] A Google User: Saved my butt Walking in Britain, Alpine Quest helped me figure out where I was. Useful in country and in city. |
[2012-10-07] A Google User: Very good Excellent app |
[2012-10-06] A Google User: Good Job Keeps getting better. Great app for my job. |
[2012-10-05] A Google User: Request I would suggest an option for putting a lock current location toggle on the screen. |
[2012-10-05] A Google User: Very clever app I use it for both hiking and cycling. Love it! |
[2012-09-28] A Google User: Alpinequest I have been using this app for a long time. It is superb and I would strongly recomend it. The developers have continued to improve the app despite how good it was when I first found it. I have tried a number of like programmes few come close. |
[2012-09-18] A Google User: Get this app!! This app is the best of the best. Six stars. Constant improvements. |
[2012-09-13] A Google User: Love this app Works great |
[2012-09-12] A Google User: Excellent Excellent app |
[2012-09-06] A Google User: well worth the purchase Good features when used with the companion pc map creator. Ability to download maps to sd means wifi & 3g not needed for navigation so battery is saved. |
[2012-09-05] A Google User: Great app and a responsive dev I use this app a lot of times to browse maps all over the world and being that I zoom in and out all the time, I was sometimes exiting the app accidentally. I asked the dev if an option for a prompt before actually exiting the app can be added and he obliged. Very first dev who actually added a feature that I requested. Thank you. |
[2012-09-03] A Google User: Great first impressions I was a little apprehensive about this app but I need not have been. Very user friendly, OS map coordinates can be selected in the preferences menu and then selecting Geolocation will give you your current grid reference. Click on Community maps and you have access to the OS map for the area you are in! Best app I have ever downloaded and fantastic value for money! :-) |
[2012-09-02] A Google User: Continually improving Awesome app for what I do, and they keep figuring out what else I want and add it or fixed it! |
[2012-09-02] A Google User: Excellent |
[2012-09-01] A Google User: Excellent A superb piece of software for guiding and recording walking routes. |
[2012-09-01] A Google User: Excellent offline hiking tool |
[2012-09-01] A Google User: Great stuff I find this really useful and use it alot. Highly recommend. |
[2012-09-01] A Google User: Brilliant software! This app exceeds my expectation. Works perfectly on Samsung galaxy S2. |
[2012-08-31] A Google User: Best app I own Well worth the money, a very well written app, I use this fairly often (once a week in the summer) and I've never seen it crash. Probably the best app available for android, certainly the best app for viewing maps, recording routes etc. Invaluable when cycling and walking, it doesn't replace the safety of a paper map, but having a map show you where you are and in which direction you are pointing makes navigating so easy. Use on HP Touchpad to plan routes, then on HTC Desire HD to follow them, works flawlessly on both. |
[2012-08-30] A Google User: Great but needs more online features The app is great and feel faster than anything else, but needs more online features like uploading to other sites eg gpsies everytrail etc. Also it would be great if there was a download option from these gps databases. |
[2012-08-21] A Google User: Great program One of my favourites |
[2012-08-20] A Google User: more difficult than it should be Starting a hike track takes burrowing down several menus and you have to know where you're going. Then you can record waypoints, but retrieving them eludes me. The Stats display (when you can find it) is cryptic at best. I mean this is a hiking program for Androids, right? How about when you open the program there's a big red button that says, "Start hike", then changes to a screen with "Stop" and "Insert waypoint"? The menu key (on all my Android devices) could have options to view the current track with stats (including distance and time - total from start and from last waypoint). The menu button on the opening screen could bring up choices to name the hike, review a list of previous hikes, a help screen, etc. But I dream. |
[2012-08-16] A Google User: Jay Better than back country pro. The satellite feature is the best zooms in very clear and close, back country, no. This takes a little bit to play with to get a feel for this, many features, don't be afraid of it. Many maps to choose from. Don't need a store bought GPS, save your money, this app is loaded with features that will get you in and out. If there's no satellite reception nothing works ?! Right ? Why waste 2 or 3 hundred on a GPS unit, you have it in this app, not paying for additional maps. |
[2012-08-06] A Google User: Really good Great app I think.... Had it over a year and paid for the full version too. Just not ever used it, not sure how and don't know how to observe statistics of past routes or plan a trip through it... Is there a PC interface too? Looks amazing but not got a clue what to do with it. |
[2012-08-05] A Google User: Great app Haven't used a lot but like what I have used. |
[2012-08-04] A Google User: Cool Cool |
[2012-08-04] A Google User: Excellent Great to have offline maps and ability to access my memory maps stored on my see card. Brilliant app. |
[2012-08-02] A Google User: The Best! I've used this app regularly for nearly two years and it is the best I've come across. It measures distances more accurately than 'My Tracks'. The ability to use offline maps has saved me a fortune on data costs. |
[2012-08-01] A Google User: Great Best app I have on my Android phone, who needs paper maps? |
[2012-08-01] A Google User: Amazing Best app on my phone, I use it every time I go for a hike. Well worth every penny! |
[2012-08-01] A Google User: Excellent Best app I know of when hiking, walking, browsing offline maps , lots of features , get it now ! |
[2012-07-31] A Google User: Excellent app Accurate GPS tracking,offline maps,amazing! |
[2012-07-29] A Google User: Great Offline GPS! This is a great alternative to a high dollar off road GPS since you can make your own tracks and load them onto the memory card... |
[2012-07-26] A Google User: Great app. I love this program. Tracks my runs thought the mountains, let's me save my trips, downloads to Google earth beautifully, easy to use. To bad my Acer tablet screws up is GPS tracking now and then... |
[2012-07-24] A Google User: This is an essential app; possibly saved my life Alpine Quest saved me in a serious back country storm on difficult mountain terrain. I was stuck in a summer hail storm at high altitude in the western Canadian rockies of Alberta and relied on this program to get me back to my trail even when everything was white-out and I had been washed down a scree slope. This is an absolutely essential program not just for recreation but also for the you die-hard backcountry hikers. Get this app, download maps for offline use and you'll never get lost. |
[2012-07-21] A Google User: Worth getting a tablet just for this Marvellous app, got us out of trouble on a hike the first time we used it. I really can't fault it - absolutely superb. |
[2012-07-13] A Google User: 10/10 This app is awesome for anyone who goes outside. Whether biking, hiking, kayaking, etc. This app not only records your route and gives you a breakdown of every stat you need but it also displays a topo, satellite, or any map or combination. My favorite is a topo map with satellite at 25% opacity overlay. |
[2012-07-12] A Google User: Great app Fantastic mapping app with access to 1:25k and 1:50k maps in paid version. |
[2012-07-12] A Google User: Best GPS nav app out there The ui keeps improving. This is a must have if you go off the grid with your phone. Not giving 5 stars only to keep the developer motivated to continue improving this already excellent app. Recommended. |
[2012-06-06] A Google User: Excellent Took some time to figure out how to load maps, but smooth sailing after |
[2012-05-25] A Google User: The best outdoor map software I've bought AlpineQuest and BackCountry and Alpine is the best Android map solution for offline outdoor activities. Together with MOBAC for Windows (older version dumping Google Maps/Earth) gives me a tool for comfortable navigation when traveling around the world without Internet access :) Only too often changes in program layout makes me crazy, cause when I learn where everything is, Psyberia decide to completly reorganize layout (ver 1.30 and before). Even if it's better or not, shouldn't be changed so often!!! |
[2012-05-21] A Google User: One of the best! Excellent for off road and hiking when out of network. |
[2012-04-24] A Google User: GPS issues Sometimes GPS will not work. But turning on google maps reactivate it and Alpinequest sees them too |
[2012-04-24] A Google User: Icons are still hard to see in sunshine This is a really good app, and I'd rate it higher if there was an optional set of high contrast (B&W, not greyscale) icons available for use in bright conditions, when it's very difficult to make out what the little icon is trying to show - especially for older eyes. |
[2012-04-24] A Google User: New Update 215b I totally agree with Dpm the latest update makes using QCT (Memory Maps) impossible I have only used it for 5 minutes and it has put 14316. jpgs in the Alpinequest folder whick locks up ES filemanager when trying to view. Please can we have 214 back!!!! Further Review: Within 8 hours of me posting this problem the developer has fixed the problem and issued an update. The App now works extremely well and is now much improved with QCT files. An excellent response to the probem. |
[2012-04-24] A Google User: Superb app, great developer feedback This app is incredibly useful, and off-line maps you pre prepare to your own spec are fantastic. Developer provides great feedback top questions also. Full version highly recommended! |
[2012-04-23] A Google User: Updates are not always better...... Since the latest update, QCT (Memory Maps) will not load, the program now creates thousands of .jpg images in the alpinequest folder. Have email'd support and no reply. The program was fab until update.....................................now I can't use. |
[2012-04-20] A Google User: No network, no problem This really is a top app, not a substitute for google maps which is also tops, but when in the wild with no network signal this is awesome. Its got me down of a misty mountain a few times. Just remember to download the ordance survey maps to ths phone befofe you go. Really a 5 star app. |
[2012-03-23] A Google User: Great for uk mapping Use on tablet and phone for 1 in 25k os mapping. |
[2012-03-19] A Google User: Best map app interface poor Lots of correct comments so far the interface is pretty but takes a while to learn. We need to be able to search sd card for maps as this process is not at all straight forward! |
[2012-03-15] A Google User: great and developing I use the app with imported scanned paper maps and it works perfectly, the only downside is the quick battery drain, but i guess this is the same with other GPS apps. Keep up the good work! |
[2012-03-14] A Google User: Used for years I found this app back on my G1, and it has continually been improved. The interface takes some getting used to, but it has a remarkable number of very useful features for an avid hiker, like me. Please note that for maximum utility, you'll want to get the free, cross platform mobile atlas creator for your desktop. Vitally for me, it runs on Linux. |
[2012-03-14] A Google User: New version even better The new version is even better. It added, on my request, some highly useful german topo maps. The developer reacted quickly on my e-mail and added the feature, which is very nice. The app can really be recommended and is worth the money. |
[2012-02-26] A Google User: Best in category, still actively improving. Tried this & backcountry - ultimately opted for alpine quest. Some ui & features I just liked better,& dev is responsive where improvement is needed. Upgraded to 5 stars now, dev has now implemented everything I really need! |
[2012-02-19] A Google User: Great Great bit of software although the interface could do with some simplifying to make it easier to use |
[2012-02-17] A Google User: John. Excellent, takes a bit of work at first, offline maps downloaded with mobile atlas creator (mobac) make it superb and battery use frugal. |
[2012-02-03] A Google User: Superb App Does exactly what it says on the tin. Developer very helpful when I needed with advice about moving data, etc. If you're seriously into hill walking this could save your life one day. |
[2012-01-29] A Google User: Osgb Haven't used it for a bit, as it's useless in england without osgb, now noticed they're back with a vengeance. Amazing, can you make my screen weatherproof too? |
[2012-01-26] A Google User: Just excellent. Developer constantly updates and improves app. Saved me on a trip to Switzerland. |
[2012-01-18] A Google User: Great app but poor interface Fantastic app - especially for UK OS maps, but the icons are unintelligible and the green glow for on/off is completely invisible in sunlight. Also the zoom slider gets in the way so I keep zooming by mistake. Motorola Defy |
[2012-01-12] A Google User: So incredibly useful It's nice knowing I've got any map I could need in my pocket, no data connection required, and creating custom maps is easy with MOBAC. The UI could use some work, but who cares - it does exactly what it is supposed to do. |
[2011-11-16] A Google User: Unbelievably Excellent This is THE app for GPS walking or whatever takes your fancy. With a big fat juicy SD card you can download everything you need, for free!!! Now i can take my maps with me and not have to worry about signal in the back of beyond... Brilliant. Motorola Xoom, HTC Desire |
[2011-11-06] A Google User: Awesome! Great App! Loads up a 1gb file of NW Washington just fine on my Moto Droid. |
[2011-10-22] A Google User: Best Trail GPS I've Ever Used This is so much better and affordable than the standalone trail GPS devices I have used in the past. |
