ActiveGPS (v. 2.3.2) Разработано Ellipsoid Mobile |
GPS navigation and tracking for walking, cycling, Geocaching
Supports multiple map grid formats - UTM, Military Grid (MGRS), Ordnance Survey (OS) British & Irish Grid and Dutch RD support.
Navigate with a smoothly rotating compass, or rotate the phone for a large text-based view.
Capture and view tracks on the phone, or export to SD card.
New for version 2.3.2 - added magnetic compass support for capable devices. The main compass bearing is still based on GPS (i.e. movement between current and last position) but a yellow mark now also indicates the magnetic heading. This can be enabled or disabled in the settings menu.

[2013-08-18] A Google User: Dutch Grid Use it for 4 years now, on my first and second smart phone. Worth the money because it brings national grid coords. Dutch RD coords tested and performs well for x and y. Local datum (ground) elevation not so good. Simplicity of the app is a good thing. |

[2013-05-05] A Google User: Irish grid - Update - I've tried this again and the readings are now much closer to what the handheld GPS was saying. Perfect for getting a quick grid ref in Irish Grid - The only app that I have found that does this on Android - Thank you :) - Previous - Irish grid co ordinates are way out (+/- 50m) when compared to a decent GPS system...think the conversion must be wrong. If this were fixed I would rate 5* because everything else is just what I need; pity it is unusable because of the inaccurate readings. |

[2013-01-27] A Google User: Great for walking Those complaining of lack of navigation are missing the point. If you want data dependant maps you are well catered for. If, however you expect to be out on moorland with no mobile reception, this application is perfect in a 'it just works' sort of way. |

[2010-07-28] A Google User: Slow response on the heading. Changed a digit in MGRS coord making it useless for my job. |

[2010-01-21] A Google User: Great app for those looking for a gps app in the military. I have used the MGRS on many land nav courses and its always on point. |

[2009-04-25] A Google User: I was expecting "navigation" to mean maps etc, but it's essentially just a compass, coordinates and speed. Not really enough for a paid app. Refunded. |

[2009-04-24] A Google User: MGRS is wrong. Fort Benning is 16S not 17S and the rest is wrong from the real map. Their math is screwed up on the conversion. |

[2009-04-01] A Google User: Works great. Im in the field a lot and the mgrs feature is accurate enough for a 8 digit grid most of the time. Always good enough for a 6 digit grid. |
