The ToyotaMate app controls a GPS tracking and remote control module in your late model Toyota. The module will be availabe from Cimble (www.cimble.com) and selected Toyota dealers by May 2011. In properly equipped Toyotas (most 2010 and later models), the module / app combination allows you to find your car, lock and unlock the doors, roll the windows up and down, alert you to alarms and panic button presses, and more. If you have a Toyota brand remote start unit installed, ToyotaMate can start and stop your car remotely, not just within the range of the key fob. You can warm your car on a cold morning. Or, on a hot afternoon, ToyotaMate will vent your windows, start the engine to run the A/C to push out the warm air and then roll the windows up to cool the interior of your car.
You must have the ToyotaMate module from Cimble to make use of this app.
