Tiramisu (v. 1.4.2) Разработано Tiramisu Transit LLC |
Beta Version:
This application is currently a beta release, so the user experience may not be as optimal as desired.
Tiramisu is a crowd powered app aimed at helping people make better use of the public transit. It empowers people by allowing them to track buses in real time and provide other users with dynamic and accurate information about the location of a bus and its fullness.
If you tell Tiramisu what bus you are on, you can “record" your ride using the GPS in your phone. Tiramisu uses this recorded information to calculate real-time arrival information for other Tiramisu users. It will automatically stop recording at your destination. At the request of users, Tiramisu uses much less battery power than before.
When using Tiramisu, you can see bus information through a map, lists of nearby stops, and favorites that you pick. Use the "Get On" feature to see the stops nearest you. Buses labeled as Real-Time are buses with a fellow Tiramisu user on board. The Historic label is for buses fellow users have recorded frequently but nobody is currently on board. If neither is available, Tiramisu will show you the printed Scheduled arrive time.
Tiramisu also lets you rate bus fullness and report suggestions, problems, and positive experiences to the transit agency, with or without pictures. The website http://www.tiramisutransit.com has a live map and the contributed reports from users. If you submit a report, look for feedback on the website.
Tiramisu is mostly TalkBack compatible and includes other features designed to support riders with disabilities. Tiramisu is aimed at making public transit easy to access for everyone.
The application currently supports the Port Authority of Allegheny County (the transit agency for Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) and the Carnegie Mellon University bus shuttle. We will be adding more agencies soon – stay tuned!
This application is associated with research at the RERC on Accessible Public Transportation (http://www.rercapt.org) at Carnegie Mellon University. If you have questions about the research, contact: astein+tiramisu@cs.cmu.edu. Please submit suggestions on improvements through the app store or to tiramisu.transit@gmail.com
Please use with Android versions 2.1 or later.

[2012-12-16] A Google User: Excellent I have a suggestion, add a shortcut for Getting On. |
[2012-10-03] A Google User: Good schedule but bad accuracy Works well as a schedule but when I see that a rider prediction bus is 4 minutes away then it changes to 'passed 4 minutes ago' then reverts back all while I'm at a stop and no bus at all comes in 10 minutes...it's not very helpful. |
[2012-09-26] A Google User: good but... it is a good idea and this app works exactly as it's supposed to do. but i think port authority should do this instead of us. |
[2012-09-09] A Google User: Looks useful Let's use this!! |
[2012-08-17] A Google User: Life saver Love it |
[2012-08-15] A Google User: Great for Yinzers but... On my Samsung Droid Charge running 2.3.6, the app force-closes on startup. This is a great idea to combat those terribly unreliable Port Authority buses, I'd really love to see the bugs fixed. |
[2012-08-11] A Google User: No nearby routes That's some bs bus is like 10 minute walk away. Says nothing found. |
[2012-07-30] A Google User: Location... My gps was on, had all my bars and 3g working fine. Tiramisu, however, couldn't find me and kept saying there were no nearby stops. As I was sitting at one. I'm on the bus all the time so I'm fairly disappointed this app didn't work. |
[2012-07-19] A Google User: HTC evo 3d Wow,I don't need a schedule and it is very easy to use. It loads quick and gives information quickly to exactly where I am at. Yippee |
[2012-06-29] A Google User: :) :-) |
[2012-06-01] A Google User: A must have app... If you ride Port Authority in Pittsburgh. I use it every day, it's handy for looking up bus times and I contribute to the crowdsourcing. More people need to get involved to make this app better. |
[2012-05-29] A Google User: Very useful... ...when more people use it.I use it every day. in the worst case scenario (no tiramisu fellows on the bus) the app gives me the bus schedule - still helpful. I wish the T was also covered... And if the CMU study can convince Port Authority to get GPS trackers on the buses that would be wonderful. :) |
[2012-05-24] A Google User: Fantastic I use the app daily and it helps me get to and from where I need to go. |
[2012-05-24] A Google User: Great Use it everyday! |
[2012-05-17] A Google User: The Best I have been using this app for a while now and this is a time saver for people who use the Pittsburgh Port Authority Buses. Its accurate and the favorite function lets you check the bus times easily and.quickly. |
[2012-05-16] A Google User: Good idea BUT... ...I never got to use it as the app always gets stuck trying to find my location. Too bad since I ride the bus daily. Uninstalled. |
[2012-04-15] A Google User: Amazing!!! By far the best app I use on my phone. Recommend to everyone! |
[2012-04-11] A Google User: Wont come up |
[2012-04-10] A Google User: Great app Need to add north shore T stops |
[2012-04-07] A Google User: Awful This app used to be great. Now, if I don't record my trip, times are blocked. Thanks for ruining my night out (and ride home). Guess what? I don't need tiramisu. App deleted. |
[2012-03-10] A Google User: Used to have pros Used to be good, but now with u being locked out if u dont record the app sucks. It was a good idea, but not enought people use it, so its better as a lookup apo then anything else. It would also be nice to have accirate stop and time info too. |
[2012-01-26] A Google User: Best app on the market Has never failed me once yet. Unlike pat transits web site. This is for shure a keeper. |
[2012-01-18] A Google User: Works well - crashes some Love the app, just wish more people used it so the crowd-sourced accuracy was better. Crashes some on my Droid Incredible w/ CM7 |
[2011-12-07] A Google User: Suggest it to your friends! If more people used this it would be even better. |
[2011-12-02] A Google User: Great app! Works great!!! |
[2011-09-17] A Google User: Wish it worked as promised. The premise of this app is great, but it doesn't show actual port authority bus routes. It lables everything "a" or "ab" and you can't check on either |
[2011-09-16] A Google User: Fun, seems to work well Had success a few times. Careful: definitely only works in Pittsburgh, and the "Carnegie Mellon University" option is for CMU shuttles only. |
[2011-09-07] A Google User: Seth Great concept, but if you actually do the live tracking it takes a lot of battery. If you have it to spare though it makes the bus info way better. |
