Please note: for SBB Business customers, the app “SBB Mobile Business” is available in the Android Market.

SBB Mobile is perfectly customised for the requirements of public transport users in Switzerland. You can use it to call up timetables in real time and to buy and display tickets directly using a smartphone.

Timetable functions:
- National, international and urban timetable enquiries
- Input options: Stations, stops and (contact) addresses
- Real time and incident information (delays, platform changes, occupancy display, etc.)
- Departure/arrival tables
- "Take me Home" function
- Display of interim stops and journey information
- GPS support (search for nearby stations / stops)
- Map display of starting points and destinations in SBB Mobile (Google Maps)
- Saving of displayed connections in SBB Mobile
- Calendar import of timetable connections

Ticket functions:
- Purchase and display of public transport tickets for Switzerland.
- The range includes single tickets, fare network tickets, daypasses, class upgrades, etc.
- Tickets for up to 8 passengers
- Payment via credit card. The precondition is one-off registration via the "tickets" menu.

Beware: SBB steals from customers Do use this app to check time tables but never to buy tickets. We did so and ended having to pay for the ticket a second time and, in addition, we had to pay a fine. Our error: we bought a return ticket. The electronic ticket for our trip (4hrs on each direction) was valid only for one day instead of the regular one month period. Even worst: no understanding from the sbb staff

OK, but design is ugly 1. Let the menu button trigger the side menu. 2. Add xhdpi and hdpi resources for all icons (Home icon in oreferences) 3. Flatten the GPS icon (the inner shadow does not look nice as the design is flat everywhere else)

Update mässig Wenn ein seitliches Menu nötig ist, dann: - ein Slide von links nach rechts müsste das Menu auch öffnen (vgl. YouTube) - der Menu-button des Gerätes müsste das Menu weiterhin öffnen. Die obere Tool-bar ist zu gross geraten und nimmt unnöigerweise Platz weg.

Completely wrong! Search, departure Luzern, destination Fribourg. Results: From: Luzern, To: 1st result is to Interlake, 2nd result is Luzern, 3rd Bern, 4th Geneva , etc, but where the hell Fribourg? Interface with big text is not nice either! Waste of time!

Bravo +1 Stern für das hübsche Redesign. Aber: Das Side-Menu ist m.E. ungewöhnlich und trägt eher nicht zur Übersicht bei, würde lieber eine globale Dropdown Liste in der Top-Leiste machen wie z.B. Label-Auswahl bei Gmail.. Alles in Allem ist die App immer noch etwas unübersichtlich, es hat zu viel Infos auf einen Blick.

Brauchbar Kann fast alles was es sollte aber leider überhaupt nicht an Android angepasst. Ticket kauf ist zu komplex und teilweise blödsinnig aufgebaut (Man kann nicht direkt 4 Zusatzzonen lösen sondern muss erste Station ausserhalb der eigenen Zone und Endstation angeben. Viel zu mühsam und zeitaufwendig!)
