The wait is over!! We have been hard at work here at Densebrain and we are so excited to release our newest update to NYCMate. Below are all the updates and new features we've added for version 4.0:

• New Official Maps with Timetables: Metro North, Long Island Rail Road, and New Jersey Transit
• the Official PATH train map
• Service Alert and Push Notifications: Receive alerts for the specific train lines you need to know about
• Customizable Toolbar: Put your most important maps right in front of you.

NYCMate includes the crowd sourcing system NextTrain, which provides realtime train arrival information on all NYC subway lines. NextTrain is an innovative technical product and proud to be a NYC homegrown technical solution. NextTrain uses anonymous and passive reporting, so their is nothing for you the user to do. Used to be great Used to be great but I'd gradually breaking due to no maintenance for close to two years. Train times have stopped working and its little more than a glorified pdf map at this point.

Fix zoom on maps I am using Galaxy S4. Stock Android. I only have TWO zoom levels. All the way out (tiny map) and about 75% which on my device is still no where close enough to view any details. You need to fix the zoom levels. I used to be able to zoom in closer on maps.

unusable the maps on my Galaxy S4 are not readable because the zoom is limited only 1 step. The whole graphic engine is crap, jagging and stuff. terrible user experience. Same thing with the bus maps and the neigborhood maps, THEY ARE NOT READABLE. alerts never downloading. what is this app is supposed to do? shameful. Learn from some quality iOS app.

Too many corrupt maps! I use to recommend this app to anyone with a pulse. The accompanying neighborhood map for the NYC subway was especially useful. Now whenever I try to download a map I get "corrupt" ones and when I try to download it again the same thing happens. What gives Densebrain??!! I don't want to uninstall this app for good but I fear that I may have no choice...

Eh Would like to know if the zoom level on neighborhood maps will EVER be fixed? The print is incredibly small on a S3,hiw can that be? Loved it on Droid X, but on Galaxy S3 the neighborhood maps won't allow me to zoom in enough to read them.

Splash screen #latest update makes scrolling impossible. Shows up black instead of a map. Now even the maos dint work! That splash screen seems unnecessary. When I pull up the app I'm usually in a bind. Waiting for the self promo ad/splash screen is awful. Splash screen takes just as long on my old phone as my new one, loading not a factor? BUILTIN DELAY?

Glitch Scrolling, Old App, but Still Best For All NY Metro Maps Great app displays official, hi-res official maps of ALL metro area maps: MTA subway, busses, LIRR, Metro North, PATH, and NJT. Use this as you would the big paper maps you get from the booth, but easier to hold in your phone. I live by this app, just wish it were less glitchy when scrolling the MTA high resolution maps.

How The Mighty Fall :( I like many others used this app for the train schedules, but they were removed and then included and finally removed again. This is too bad for the app, but honestly I don't even use it anymore unless I really need a map, which isn't often. This used to be a great application, but since the best feature was removed it has fallen into the abyss. Thankfully the MTA is alright with their schedule displays so one doesn't have to rely on this as much. Avoid!!

Kinda Useless If I downloaded this app to use as a subway map, it'd get five stars. I however, downloaded it to help me coordinate transportation during my first c visit to NYC. Since the times no longer work and there aren't any updates, it only gets two.

Best app for offline maps I've had this app and many other NYC transit apps on four different phones over two years. It may lack in train times but the neighborhood maps and ability to use while underground make it a five star for this 25 year veteran of the transit system.
