NavSpeedo is a speedometer for Google Navigator. It works as a background service and when it detects that Google Navigation activity is shown, a speedometer is shown over it without interfering with Navigation user interface.

Exactly what I was looking for! I tried a few others that were less than average. This one is a winner.

Brilliant (nearly) Bizarre that speed is not displayed in Google Navigation - well I can't find it. Searched for ages and tried a few apps but they were either far too laggy or overcomplicated. This one is a bit laggy on acceleration/deceleration but perfectly good enough for pushing it right to the limit in average speed camera zones ! Excellent. Deserves much higher rating. Try it.

Does The Job Not perfect, but definitely the best of the lot, until Google sees fit to provide this information natively in the Navigation app. The good: • Automatically activates and deactivates as the Nav screen is displayed. • Can position the speed display anywhere on the Nav screen. • Remembers separate positions for both landscape and portrait mode. The less than good: • Speed display can overlay other date shown within the Nav app, such as the list of directions. • The example image used to allow positioning the display doesn't match the actual display (at least, not on my GS3), and the speed window is a slightly different size. That makes for a lot a trial and error to get the window positioned. • Would like option to display speed to a tenth of a unit, instead of only whole units. • Would like option to change window size and background color, and transparency. That said, it pretty much does what I want, and I hope it still works as well when I'm upgraded to Jelly Bean. If you want a speed reading on the Nav app, don't want to bother with turning a separate app on and off, and don't mind spending a few bucks, this is your best choice.

Fills it's Role This app works. Needs an update to the positioning screen which is designed for the old UI. A snapping feature would also be nice. TBH though Google should just include this as a basic feature in Navigation. Sometimes closes slowly which is annoying but not the biggest deal. Please add this as a feature to Nav Google.

BEST Speed for Google Nav The fact that this app starts and stops itself is what makes it a winner and the best in the market if you use Google navigation. Works perfectly on my SGS2 Skyrocket. A defense 5 star app!!

Simply amazing Best app I have... I use an old outdated gps for a speedo that my wife won't let me upgrade for new maps and Google maps is always being updated and free plus the navigator and this app... It makes Google nav the greatest gps navigation system in the world!!! I love this app. However, I would add an optional snap grid to the position adjustments. That way you could place it directly beside the in app elements quickly. Also, the background for positioning does not represent current navigation layout.

Worked better before update Never used to overlap in google maps--only I navigation, now it does in maps too, fix and it would be perfect
