This is support page to explain this app, a lot of people have been using it wrong.
Using the newest technology available, our app uses HTML5 to work on just about every mobile device on the market today. This technology allows your device to automatically download the app and save it to your device for use offline. It also auto updates to the newest version when you connect via the Internet.
HTML5 is supported my most new mobile devices. This allows us to have the same app work on the iPad, iPhone, Blackberry, and Android without needing to go through each individual app store.
While the app works through your mobile device's browser, it isn't just another website. Using HTML5, your device is able to download the files and run them even when you aren't connect to the Internet. It will use the cached (stored) version of the app while you are offline.
If you have hit and miss 3G service, then just go into "airplane mode" and the app will stop trying to check for the newest updates and just run off of the previously download version.
Installing the app on each device is a little different but the concept is the same. You just need to "add to your home screen". Once you add the app to your home screen, your mobile device will automatically download and save all of the required files so that your app can run offline.

With Fahrinfo always doing well en route in Berlin and Brandenburg Fahrinfo takes you comfortably through Berlin and Brandenburg by train, by bus or by ferry! In the App, all the timetables of more than 1,000 regional transport, urban railway, metro, tram, bus and ferry services are united. The transport network Berlin-Brandenburg (VBB) comprises more than 13,000 stops in an area of 30,000 square kilometres. The timetables are updated every week. Thus, you are always up to date and well informed about construction sites, special services or timetable changes.

Route planner - from A to B

Calculating your route is like child's play - either from your current position to a train station, to a stop, address or a point of interest. Due to the location function, the optimal connection from a station nearby is determined automatically. The pedestrian routing to the bus stop is displayed on the integrated map. You can adjust special requests and demands on your route - that might be a preferred means of transport, barrier-free interchanges or the time you need for a change over.

Everything on time?

Better informed by real-time information - Fahrinfo knows the current traffic situation. In case of traffic interferences, Fahrinfo informs you about delays, connections and special incidents. These forecasts are available for the majority of train lines and many railway lines, tram and bus services in Brandenburg. The Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe, S-Bahn Berlin and the carriers in and around Potsdam are coming soon. Find out about the next departures and arrivals at your station - of course with current forecasts on punctuality.

NEW: Alarm functionality

Fahrinfo informs you if delays or disturbances occur on your connection or if  you may miss the connecting train. To do so, just let Fahrinfo check your connections via the alarm functionality. As a communter, you may also set a period for the alarm.
