FastTimes: CTA does just what the name says. It's the fastest CTA app in the Android Marketplace.
Uses LIVE CTA Bus and Train data to give you instant arrival times.

Full map view so you can see all the buses and stops nearby.
After using apps like AnyStop: Chicago CTA, Transit Tracks, TreKing and Chicago Transit, I decided to make a better app and make it FREE!
Uses the CTA Bus Tracker and CTA Train Tracker APIs to deliver up-to-the minute information.

[2012-07-31] Brian: Nicely done Simple UI, gets the job done for my CTA train-riding needs. I don't use it for buses, so can't speak to the bus features . But for the train, it works very well, doing everything I need. Advantage over Transit Tracks: stop list shows stops in order (not alphabetical like TT), and stop list shows transfer stops. All in all, nicely done. |

[2012-07-12] Chuck: No Frills; It Just Works! Interface is best understood once you're actually using the program for real. It was less clear prior to my recent trip to Chicago. Does its job quickly and accurately. |

[2012-04-21] G: Not bad Clean, quick. Would really like to see east/west and north/south bus stops combined so you see all buses for each stop name on one screen ( similar to how both direction of trains show at each station). This would make navigation easier and would GREATLY simplify saving favorites, making the app much more effective. Id be willing to pay $0.99 for that. As it stands, this is a pretty solid transit app for the CTA and worth a run. |
