Car Dashboard is both a speedometer and a Car Home dock replacement app. Use this app to watch your speed and easily access 20 customizable shortcuts!

The app automatically launches when placed in a car dock (that has a magnet or similar).

Best car dock app; could still be improved Believe most of what others have said: this app is faaaaaar superior to stock docks on even the latest Androids. That said, to earn 5 stars, this app should allow users to change the number of quick links it presents, it should have an audio warning option for those times when driving above the posted speed limit and it should automatically (audibly) notify you when traffic conditions are "red" along a plotted trajectory while using Google maps.

Works great with Galaxy Nexus Car Dock This is well worth the 2 bucks. Plenty of customizations you can do. Add up to 20 shortcuts to your favorite apps, turn wifi off when your phone is docked, then turn it back on when it's removed. Change the color scheme, plus much more. A must have if you purchased a car dock for your phone.

Easily the best app of its kind. I highly recommend this application for anyone who is on the road a lot. Even if you're not on the road much, it allows you to use most of your phone's functions legally (that is, without holding your phone whilst driving. One slight glitch; when the application is running in landscape mode, the compass function is 90° out. But aside from that, awesome app! Good work guys.

Great App! I also bought it immediately after trying the free version. For me, it's perfect with but one complaint. It needs the ability to automatically set the media volume to 100% otherwise I find myself cranking my head unit volume up before realizing what the issue is. Other that that, it's great!

Excellent App! Turns out that I'm an idiot and you can enable the notification bar in the Settings menu! This app is extremely handy and I just used it on a 400+ mile road trip. It provides an accurate speedometer, outdoor temperature, current location (street address), compass heading and more, plus rapid access to twenty shortcuts - not just apps, but direct dial buttons that let you call home with a single tap, or access Google Navigation, or play music, or whatever else you might need your phone to do while you're driving. At this price you would be crazy not to buy it!

I love the app for what it is. It's a convenient splash screen to the apps I use while driving (Music, Navigation, Places, Doggcatcher) and because of how crappy my speedometer is I rely on this to tell how fast I'm going. The preset speed warnings are a little arbitrary, though.

This has fantastic support. Two days ago I noticed the speedometer not working since Moto updated the Atrix to Gingerbread, so I contacted the developer expecting the usual...a week or two wait and then an update. Well within minutes the dev contacted me, sent me a patch to test and here we are two days later and it's working on my Atrix again! This was the first app I purchased and I haven't regretted it!

Great app!! I hated the boring interface of cardock that came with my Droid 2. I bought this app and it is working great. Shows me all the information I need, allows me to have my 4 favorite apps, and has great settings!!
