Together with your Speed Over Ground (SOG), your Course Over Ground (COG) and the next waypoint location, Blueflow Sail can calculate your Velocity Made Good (VMG). With this information you can optimize your angle to the wind in order to get as high speed towards the destination as possible.
This is a very clever feature if you want to know if you should turn into the wind or fall of, in order to get the optimal angle. For example, if you want to go as fast as possible over open water across a bay. Then you can enter the wanted destination as your next waypoint or take out a Bearing (BRG) with the compass in Blueflow Sail. Now Blueflow Sail will provide you with valuable information like Time To Station (TTS), Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and your current speed towards the destination (VMG).
