ARTBus is a bus finding application made exclusively for the ART (Arlington Transit) system. The app allows you to input a Bus Stop ID, Browse a List of stops, view a selectable Map, and even search for Buses Nearby (using GPS) to view REALTIME bus arrival information for any stop. No more standing in the cold/hot/dark waiting for your bus.
ARTBus also allows you to save a list of your favorite bus stops to easily access later.
ARTBus now includes a widget! Add it to your homescreen for quick access to your favorites and the Bus Stop Number input.
ARTBus is 100% free to use in the hopes that it will be useful for fellow Arlington County residents. I will continue to develop/update this app frequently.

[2012-08-27] Jason: Great app, could use one improvement Seems to work again with the newest update. Agree with another user that it's not great for bus stops you've never been to before because it can be extremely confusing to figure out which stop you're actually looking for. If that could be cleaned up, this would be a five-star app. But as has also been said, it's great for keeping track of the bus I take to work every day, which is why I think it's a solid four star app. |

[2012-08-27] Lee: Good for next bus at stop Good app for getting next bus info when at a stop. Agree with other comment that direction-bound info on stops/routes (NB/SB)k is hard to interpret vs. route termination information. Thank the nice volunteer developer for quick response on bug fix. :) |

[2012-08-25] Greta: Needs Fixing Used this app for a few weeks but it force closes now so had to uninstall. Too bad; despite weird alpha listings when browsing stops (NB/SB doesn't help either) it was decent. Back to a bookmark for ART's Real Time I guess. |

[2012-08-20] bands: Marginal, Needs a lot of Work to be Truly Useful I installed this app on a Nexus 7. If you don't have immediate access to wifi, then this app is very limited for Nexus 7 users. The map is somewhat useful. The favorites are nice, BUT you must know exactly where you are, where you want to go, and how long you want to wait. This app desparately needs the route schedules, the main navigation on ALL screens and the end points for the routes. Anyone who actually rides a bus verifies the route by its end point. Designations such as "NB" (e.g. northbound) are useless unless you know which direction NB is actually headed. Basically, this is a phone app for someone who wants to know the wait time for the next bus that he/she rides every day. |
