1.6.0 Disabling app bug fixed

Light and fast app which turns Wifi off when no known network is around and turns it on in locations where you were already connected before.

The app remembers the locations automatically. All you have to do is to turn the Wifi radio on at each new Wifi spot.

Works very well on Galaxy s2 I have a custom Rom (ICS) and it works well. The only annoyance is that when I put the phone in airplane mode the app restores the wifi!!! Fix that and it's perfect!!!

Does not work with my new Galaxy S4 This app used to work with my old HTC evo. But now that I have a Galaxy S4 it does not. The app is supposed to turn wifi on and off when a known network is present. It does not do this now. I have to manually turn wifi on and off. Plus it is not remembering my connections. At this point it is useless. Why hasn't the developer updated the app since 2010? There's been tons of new phones since then. I know it's free, but how about a little help Polidea Lab? Does anyone know of a alternative app that works?

Unreal This app is so useful. Very simple. Only time you will ever need to open this app is the first time you use it. Afterwards it will work by itself in the background. Honestly, 1 of the best app I've ever downloaded.

Needs time-out when user turns off WiFi App works well. Sometimes when I'm moving away from a WiFi router and the signal is getting weak, I want to turn off the WiFi to switch to mobile network. But Y5 will immediately turn the WiFi back on, which is very annoying and forces me to wait until I lose the signal completely or stop Y5. It would be better if Y5 can wait 5 or 10 minutes when I turn WiFi off before checking location and turning on WiFi again. The time-out could be fixed or user-configurable.

Probably doesn't save battery Something was slowing down my system. After investigation I noted numerous wake locks from network location service. After uninstalling y5 these wake locks (which will prevent the phone from sleeping) are gone and I'm free of slow downs. On the bright side, the app does work to turn WiFi on only at certain locations

good for some It remembers locations where you've enabled Wifi, and automatically disables WiFi once you get a few miles away... and that's the problem, for me: The places I go are mostly within a couple miles of home, so Y5 rarely kicks in. It's not a flaw in the Y5 app, just a limitation of the Android "location" feature.

It was good when I first installed it At first, it worked marvelous.. Whenever I'm in 2 or 3 cells near a wifi, it would reconnect instantly but now it shows up 8 cells, and when I'm away from my home about 3 or 4 miles away, wifi starts searching for signal which I believe eats up battery. Honestly, I have no used for it anymore because I've created a widget that can toggle on and off wifi whenever I need it which to me is alot more stable. Nevetheless, very great app.. The app should only maintain in the 2 or 3 cell range, and also when I'm testing my mobile network at home, it should let me in my mobile network instantly instead of open up y5 and disabling it..

Almost great Stays on when I don't need it to, like when I'm around familiar signals that it recognizes but that I still dont have access to - example: my office building. Every time I have to back out, go into the app, tell it to forget for that session and then go back into whatever I was trying to access.. Great for when I get home and the wi-fi automatically hooks in. Or when I leave and I'm just out and about with no known signals in range. Just a little tuning and this is tool that should come native in the core OS.

Great idea. Was really hoping it would solve the problem of the WiFi not waking from deep sleep when in the vicinity of a known network, but unfortunately it can't. Since WiFi automatically switches off after 15 mins anyway, not sure I see the point of the app. Would be a brilliant app if it did solve the problem of WiFi going to sleep by itself after screen turns off.
