The Wilks Coefficient or Wilks Formula is a coefficient that can be used to measure the strength of a powerlifter against other powerlifters despite different weights.
The new Wilks Formula goes into effect January 1, 1998 for all USAPL Competitions. It is currently in effect in all IPF competitions.
