Great App things to know for newbies, must be rooted, must reboot phone for changing to apply, higher settings give you stronger strength but take more battery, if you need stronger signal increase power, if you don't, decrease power. You want to stay between 2-4 bars of strength. there are several tasker apps than can turn your wifi off when your screen is off or when out of range of your wifi. Llama is recommended for that (by me not the developer of this app) i might actually be wrong about the reboot thing not sure.

Like it, but think it could use a tweak I think it would be better if you could select, or type in the transmit power number you want. I am on a GS3 running JB and want to set the txpower to 0. That sets the txpower to 1dBm.

Still pretty rough It would be nice if we could at least dl iwconfig with the app and then move it. It's a great hack if you're used to hacking. If not, and/or your battery life is ok w/o another 20 or so min. on a charge, don't bother.

Another happy LG Optimus V owner. iwconfig is needed however if your rom does not have it pre-installed (as other's have stated)

It works but you have you manually install iwconfi It works and it certainly saves battery but i had to manually install iwconfig in /system/xbin Maybe the app developer can include iwconfig and install it with the app?

AWESOME! APP! Working on Optimus V It may take a little "tweak" to get it to work though, depending on the ROM you're using. If your ROM does NOT have iwconfig you may have to install a tethering app that comes with iwconfig then create a symlink to iwconfig. or you could adb push iwconfig to a dir in your $PATH. But once you have iwconfig, WiFi TXpower works like gang busters. EDIT: This works perfectly on Asus Transformer TR101-X1. But you still have to put iwconfig into the /system/xbin dir
