Disable wifi when your phone goes to sleep unplugged.

I coded this basic tool because the custom ROMs I use failed to do it properly.

You can also use it on regular phones to save battery (disable faster than the system timeout)

Works great but... Had to deduct a star because the app seems to freeze my Wifi Status Icon so I can't view activity or signal strength. Other than that it works perfectly.

Does exactly what it says After using several 'power saving' apps, and I found my droid 4.1 was just as efficient without them, but they had changed the wifi timeout to permanent on, so this app reset it back to what I set it to eg 60 seconds - great!

It just works! I had battery drain issue during screen off, even with wifi set to sleep when screen is off on my 4.0.4 Galaxy 7.7. After installing this the wifi is turning off as it should during screen off.

Brilliant on ICS S2 if set to 0 seconds Works brilliantly to cut wifi idf set to 0 seconds on my S2. All other seconds seem to fail. Can lock up the icons for 3g/h/h+/wifi though. Would love it to have disconnect if screen on and no connection after a minute.

WiFi Icon does not animate after installing WiFi either never sleeps or sleeps after very long time on Xperia Ray on ICS 4.0.4. This app stops working after sometime on Xperia Ray, ICS 4.0.4. Most probably after a call is received. Even while it works, WiFi icon does not animate properly.

Brilliant Just what I was looking for. The only way it could be improved is by adding a timeout option for when the WiFi is idle for set period of time, as I always forget to switch it off when doing non web related stuff.

Solved wifi wakelock problem Before I installed this app, my phone (Motorola DEFY running CM7) was often prevented from going into the "deep sleep" CPU state, apparently because of a glitch in the default wifi wakelock policy. This app solved the problem, and as a result saves a lot of battery power. It's also nice to have some control over the timeout length, instead of the all-or-nothing options in android settings.

Excellent App. Must for nook user who have CM7 I have rooted nook with CM7. There is a known issue that the wifi doesn't turn off completely causing battery drain. This app fixed that problem. Good work.

Awesome My gtabcomb 3.3 rom didn't wifi sleep properly and it was a major battery drain. This program fixed it. Excellent

Does the job Serves as a band-aid for people like me whose WiFi sleep policy keeps resetting to 'Never'. However, the maximum timeout time possible is 300sec, would be nice if that was increased to 20 minutes or so.
