Wifi Scan N Keep (v. 1.4.2) Разработано Seth Hikari |
Wifi Scan N Keep is a BETA WiFi Scanner with the intention of scanning for nearby Access Points, storing there information, and locating them.
Like similar Apps Wifi Scan N Keep uses your GPS and Access Points' (AP) signal strength to get an idea of the AP's location. Unlike most other Apps Wifi Scan N Keep uses multiple scans, locations, crazy math, and circle magic, in order to find the location of the AP even if you were not able to get in very good range of the AP.
The goal of Wifi Scan N Keep is to both be a useful tool for on the fly wifi scans as well as locating an AP (Even during war driving) to get within a useful if not perfect range for your phone an other devices to use. It is a goal that Wifi Scan N Keep will be a very full BETA with many options that will eventually produce another App with more fire and forget functionality.
**Remember! This is a BETA**
**If it does not work at all please email me instead of posting in the comments, so I can fix, or filter out non working devices**
**Any comments, feedback, donations, cake or feature requests please email me**
**So much more coming, only problem, don't know what to do first**
**You need to delete the database if you switch roms, or phones**

[2013-06-28] A Google User: On Asus TF-101 Tablet Using the map, it eventually "scrambled" the screen (1-pixel tall horizontal lines of various colors), some times all but a small square region around my point on the map, and at others, the entire screen. When Android first offered to kill the app because it was not responding, I chose to wait for a couple times that it asked, and the map cleared up, but the app was then frozen, buttons not working and the data was no longer updating as I walked around. Killed it at that point. I'm *not* saying that I've given it a fair chance, since I have not even tried to run it again, and my tablet is running 4.0.3 I believe, is older hardware-wise, etc., so it could also be more about my tablet than the app of course, but for me personally, I've given up after that one experience during the first test-run. I'd say that others should give it more of a chance than I have, and I'm submitting this to help others and the developer, rather than to gripe and complain. ;-) Without that crash, it was seeming like an OK app, so I'll still give it a 3! |
