Wifi Radar (v. 1.06) Разработано Paul Girsas |
The Wifi Radar is an application which can display the physical location of wireless networks. The application uses your device's digital compass for determining the location of each network.

[2011-12-28] JMS: Works pretty well It's important to follow directions and hold it close to your body while turning, as your body in effect becomes a shield to make reception directional. Only bug I found was the final readout didn't seem to turn with my compass, but to get a base direction for signal it worked pretty well. |
[2011-12-15] boudi: Nice But so slowwwwwwwwww |
[2011-12-11] noah: Optimus V Giving it 1 star because it just shows me the location But when I turn to see in what direction its it the map does not move. |
[2011-12-04] Marcel: Complete waste of time. Uninstalled. HTC Desire HD |
[2011-12-02] Rob: Actual values Great, but it would be nice to see the actual offset from the starting angle for a more accurate idea of the angle, or for when the compass fails. |
[2011-11-26] Mike: Clever app Scan takes a while to complete as scan rotation rate is slow but results are quite accurate. |
[2011-11-26] frrrrrrunkis: Pretty good. Quite accurate. Very nice. |
[2011-11-24] eàN: Well done! This is not meant for idiots who do not know what it is for and leave bad rating just because he/she was an inferior sperm that made it into the ovum. |
[2011-11-24] Irwan: Thanks All the way...... |
[2011-11-23] Rupert: Interesting app I have only just started to play with this but it looks very intetesting. |
[2011-11-20] max: Outstanding Very nice the app did perform outstanding, lg optimus m |
[2011-11-19] Anonymous: Brilliant This does work!! Shame some idiots on the market aren't blessed with a brain |
[2011-11-17] Arbri: Wow Just downloaded it...works well, good job developers...Can you ad an option to put the results in a map, maybe using gps? |
[2011-11-08] Fraser: It Works! Dont listen to idiots that dont read how to use the app. RTFM! I have used this app loads and it works. |
[2011-11-06] Steven: Good idea Shame its not very accurate |
[2011-11-03] Atef: Very nice app download it |
[2011-10-31] Sean: Nice try Completely inaccurate on droid 2 |
[2011-10-31] Jon: Great way to get dizzy But other than that, the whole app is a waste of time. Makes you spin about a dozen times (and that's rotating your body slowly) and then the thing was off. There's an offset, but no 0-degree offset so the thing is just plain wrong. |
[2011-10-22] LyCannon: Crashes on scan |
[2011-10-17] Karel: East battery even when not used. Eats away about 5% of the battery even when I do not use it at all. |
[2011-10-17] vinnie: COOL N USEFUL WORKS FLAWLESS ON HTC INSPIRE USING ATT. |
[2011-10-16] jordie: Not working Not working at all on my xperia play |
[2011-10-15] Zach: Nifty idea. Kind of works You have to do this wonky 360 rotation of your body to scan for wifi APs. Reverse Google's MAC address geolocation might be a smarter approach... |
[2011-10-09] Anthony: Hog Massive battery hog |
[2011-10-05] Azothyran: Suprisingly Accurate In most situations it has been able to accurately place network locations. Tested with three known access points and two of the neighbor's. |
[2011-10-05] Michael: Great concept, poor implementation. How can you possibly know the antenna reception pattern of every android phone in the market? Should have a calibration option against a known AP. |
[2011-10-03] s_ha_dum: Good idea but not accurate Results are hit even standing five feet from a known signal. |
[2011-09-16] Edgar: Help me find some coverage Good hotspots locator |
[2011-09-15] Damian: . Works perfectly if you correctly follow the directions on how to use it. |
[2011-09-15] skufn: Not so much It may have found signals but that's all |
[2011-09-12] Alan: At |
[2011-09-09] Majd: sometimes it works , sometimes it doesn't : useless |
[2011-09-08] brian: So useful! Makes warwalking easier |
[2011-09-07] lalo: Funny toy but not really accurate (which is expected), or very useful. |
[2011-09-04] met2art: Compass recalibration issues are an Android API issue, not a dev issue. The Android compass API is garbage and always has been. This app does what it advertises remarkably well within those constraints. |
[2011-08-27] Eli: THE BEST OF ITS KIND! Cons: requires (not suggests) recalibration too often. Although display rotates w/phone, signal strength is a snapshot f/time of calibration. |
[2011-08-25] Conrad: Aesthetically pleasing, does what OpenSignal is lacking for my area. |
[2011-08-21] walter: Great idea but very slow on droid milestone |
[2011-08-20] Dan: Not bad. It shows me near by apps via a radar interface. Rather have a map. So I gave it 3 stars. It's better than WiFi finder. From YOu...whatever. |
[2011-08-19] Jacob: Worked great for me on my HTC incredible 2 |
[2011-08-19] Nathan: Results Offset, why? Works so far as I can tell, but I don't understand the need for an offset. Why would I intentionally misdirect the compass... |
[2011-08-15] Marvin: I value the effort but the results are way too far from reality. |
[2011-08-09] Doel: Pointless Sorry but this Sux |
[2011-08-07] Dragos: Completely useless. I mean, it does absolutely nothing. |
[2011-08-05] brandon: Not Bad Really not bad despite what everyone says. I found holding in the air works better than against your body. So hold in air and rotate to the right! |
[2011-08-04] svache: The idea is nice but thats where it stops coz it doesn't work. I have 2 wifi spots at home but it did not show them in the correct spot |
[2011-08-02] Bogdan: Doesn't work Doesn't work, it doesn't point in the right direction and drains the battery even when it's shut down. |
[2011-08-01] Ben: Keep going Dev, please keep it light and functional. Pinning down AP's exact location isn't being done well by anyone else with light permissions. |
[2011-07-30] Zelozelos: Good work. You need to explain the two bars better. |
[2011-07-28] Agustin: Not worked for me but it be cool |
[2011-07-26] Philip: Does NOT give accurate direction of signals. |
[2011-07-25] Richard: Shows networks but wrong direction. The no point really |
[2011-07-19] Zerah: Very nice!!! Helpful 2 u see from where the signal is coming |
[2011-07-17] Mitch: This app is great! Fun even |
[2011-07-15] Michael Grady: The radar shows 1 source, the list shows 4. The radar text is too f....ing small to see with 2.5+ reading glasses. Radar doesn't auto-update |
[2011-07-15] Amedeo: Good app. Helped me find the direction to an unprotected connection so I could go nearer to the source and get more signal power |
[2011-07-14] TheViper: I agree with Joseph |
[2011-07-13] Dennis: DT Works as promised on my Evo 3D |
[2011-07-13] Jables: Seriously kick a$$ app if you looking for that unsecured network that you could connect to if you knew where it was simple and clear instructions |
[2011-07-07] Michael: Compared result agaist cinnamon donut. Found wifi located where sugar fell off. |
[2011-06-30] Bobbie: App work ok, I guess. Ads on the bottom row where they are too easy to hit by accident. Tired of ads using my data plan. Uninstalling. |
[2011-06-21] Soky: Not accurate. |
[2011-06-21] Andrew: Fantastic Hard to improve on this without putting a highly directional antenna into a phone. Works perfectly on an Atrix. |
[2011-06-19] matthew: Sort of works. Needs more work. Not bad for a free app. |
[2011-06-06] Lee: Almost vomited. Too dizzy |
[2011-06-06] Paul: Its cool and useful, but doesn't always work to well, 5* if was just a little bit more accurate, still great app tho :-D X10 mini pro |
[2011-06-04] Andrew W: Easy to use but needs more work & features. |
[2011-06-02] Mark: X10 very accurate works To the idiots that don't read try on known source and use offset or mirrored setting if necessary Also its beta |
[2011-06-02] Harames: Bad, hard to use |
[2011-05-29] vikstrous: So epic. I know people have tried to achieve this with triangulation and they get more accurate info but this app is so much easier than triangulation |
[2011-05-29] Dave G: Simply doesn't work; actually indicates the signal is coming from the OPPOSITE direction to my router Uninstall. |
[2011-05-25] brenddie: Interesting concept but ridiculous battery usage. Keeps running in background without asking for permision. Unistalled |
[2011-05-23] Andrew: Ads dissuade me from trying this one. |
[2011-05-22] pramod: Shows location but wen u go out to find fails miserably |
[2011-05-20] IWasNeverHere: Not always accurate, but great idea and one of a kind as far as I know |
[2011-05-19] Darryl: Takes awhile, but it does work. |
[2011-05-18] ty: Great idea. Seems like you would be able to make it more user friendly. |
[2011-05-17] Bob: if not personal move is good |
[2011-05-17] Alaa: Drains battery even when its off |
[2011-05-17] Rob Swift Jr: Very clever app! Needs more features to make it 5*. Good work. Xperia x10i |
[2011-05-15] osmani: Awesome & It works fine. Great application by the developer. Some time gives mirrored direction. It can detect my ad hoc networks direction. Thank you very much. Now I am sure it is very much possible. |
[2011-05-09] Frank: Stupid.... |
[2011-05-05] farmerjoe: Awesome and it works (mostly) I'd actually pay for an add-free app like this, Though like others have mentioned the radar map seems to be mirrored. Fix that and it's a 5 star app in my opinion. |
[2011-05-01] michael: Wow. F ings cool. Results seem to be mirrored. In combo with wifi analyzer have control over everything |
[2011-05-01] Jory: It can do as it claims, but not consistently or accurately. Good idea in theory, needs much improvement in practice |
[2011-05-01] TomMidgley: 10 * for creativity. 1 * for UI. User has to rotate. Should use a vector not a progress- bar. Amazing. I have a headache now. |
[2011-05-01] James: Tracked signals I know are in neighborhood but radar was 90 degrees off. Motorola Bravo OS 2.2. |
[2011-04-30] alexander: Made me dizzy and was highly innacurate |
[2011-04-25] chris: t.y. for this |
[2011-04-18] ferret: Inaccurate |
[2011-04-13] D: Everything opposite where it should be. And u have to turn in circles everytime to work |
[2011-04-13] BigPoppaPhat: Cool |
[2011-04-12] mopo: Interesting program but not all that useful. Hate the ads. |
[2011-04-12] marko djordjevic: Very fun app! Can be useful under certain conditions. |
[2011-04-08] the 4/12/2011 Awesome idea. 4 stars unless you get rid of the stupid ADs. |
[2011-04-07] Marvin: Amazing app |
[2011-04-05] Jen: Works well. But only one problem, routers in opposite direction :p please fix it :D |
[2011-04-03] Leigh: Fair on HTC wildfire |
[2011-04-01] adolfo: It shows the wifi alrite but its in the opposite dirrection |
[2010-12-31] Pete: Not a bad app, although signal location is back to front. Rotated both ways to test, still back to front. Uninstalled. (HTC Desire) |
