Wifi Protector (v. 1.4.3) Разработано Gurke Development |
Detects and protects from all kinds of ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) related attacks in Wi-Fi networks, like DOS (Denial Of Service) or MITM (Man In The Middle).
Protects your phone from tools like FaceNiff, Cain & Abel, ANTI, ettercap, DroidSheep, NetCut, and all others that try to hijack your session via "Man In The Middle" through ARP spoofing / ARP poisoning.
Don't allow such tools to break your privacy and steal your data. You can defend yourself with a single app.
Allows secure usage of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Live.com, eBay ...
WifiKill can't take you offline with this app installed. The "Immunity" feature is the only one that requires root, all other features work without root access.

[2012-02-09] Greger: Whitelist Could it be possible to provide a whitelist for known wifi networks? Get a false positive alert every time I connect to my work wifi, i.e when I change network. |
|
[2012-02-08] pof: technical details I bought the app because app description doesn't give enough technical details on how this "protection" is implemented. From a technical point of view, this app just sets a static arp entry for the gateway (arp -s gateway_ip gateway_mac) if you have root, or monitors gateway MAC changes if you don't. The BSSID analysis just compares the gateway's MAC address with the BSSID of the Access Point, which would lead to false positive "alerts" in many cases. It does not detect if you are deauthenticated from the real AP, and forced to reassociate to a rogue AP for example. Would be cool if the developer implements this (allowing to set a list of valid BSSID addresses, for networks with multiple APs). |

[2012-02-03] Lisa: Good App! I have and unrooted phone (and don't plan on rooting it) but I travel a lot and use free and paid Wi-Fi whenever I can. This app is perfect at alerting me about any issues. Great app! Keep up the good work |
|
[2012-01-17] Kyle: Essential Thanks to the responsive, polite developer for this unique and powerful app that he keeps improving. Especially on a rooted phone, Wifi Protector lets you use insecure WiFi networks with near impunity; it gives you a fighting chance and then some. Add your own TCP/IP hardening measures and you're set. Everyone else is flying blind... |
|
[2012-01-17] Daryl: Simple and powerful Great app--simple to use (I've configured to load automatically) and it runs in the background without slowing anything down. Powerful enough for experts with rooted phones, but simple enough for a novice with an off-the-shelf configuration. I expected to take a battery hit for having a wifi monitor running in the background--but I haven't noticed any significant change. Frugal on power and resources--but it jumps up and gets your attention when there's a problem. I emailed the developer with a question--and got a thoughtful response. I wish that were true of every Android app! |
|
[2012-01-12] NyNe: Immunity! This is the kind of app that makes having an Android better than having an iPhone! Protect yourself from WiFi abuse while other smartphones fall victim! |
|
[2011-12-27] #dp: R.A.T I love the remote feature ! Silently connect to my gf's phone with no trace ! |
|
[2011-12-13] Marco Kramer: Works like a charm! Tested it with a friend of mine and it does what it says it does. It's a must have app if you're often on a shared WiFi connection and use insecure apps. |

[2011-11-23] ALANG: Great app Must have for me |
