Wifi Fixer is a low-resource background Service that maintains your wifi connection automatically and works around several bugs in Android wifi.

This is just the best app I've downloaded in my life... I have Google Nexus S which drops wifi soooo many times. But after downloading this, wifi worked like charm! But I don't think it increased the signal

Only 4 stars The app is grand and works fine. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because to be fully functional it would need the ability to disable automatically when I turn off the wifi and reenable automatically when you turn it on. Elsewhere works fine on my Galaxy Fit, with Android 2.2.

This worked for GT I9003 Pronet Wifi Extender My Samsung Galaxy LCD version was waiting for IP address from the new wifi and was refusing to connect, though it connected initially. I tried wifi static but it gave "java run time error". Then I tried wifi fixer. At first it did not help. But after some visits out of extender area and into it and few on-offs (all done in course of normal work and not for any experiment) it started working like magic. I have no explanation. Hope it stays that way. Will report if it doesn't.

Finally fix my Nexus One wifi connection drop After trying many apps and many roms, the good combination I found is gingerbread 2.3.3 with wififixer with the following settings: Wifi Usability set to Max Battery. Notifications: None. Advanced Options: Nexus One Sleep Fix.
