WiFi Advanced Config Editor (v. 0.11) Разработано Marcus905 |
NOTE: WiFiACE DOES NOT WORK YET WITH ANDROID 4.0 ICS OR GALAXY NEXUS AS I DO NOT HAVE A COMPATIBLE DEVICE TO TEST ON. THIS IS A KNOWN BUG. I accept hardware and money donations, as soon as I will be able to buy a compatible device (or I receive it as a donation) it will be fixed.
WiFiACE is a very simple tool that allows you to edit the advanced parameters of the configured wireless networks.
It allows you to:
- Set WPA Enterprise and Personal parameters, like wpa_supplicant allows you to
- Set SSID (aka ESSID): Allow to connect automatically, but only to specific AP (or AP network).
- Set BSSID to disable roaming within an extended AP network, and connect only to specific AP.
(note: There is no need to specify a BSSID if there is only one AP in the network)
- Set the WEP key index
- Free and Open Source Software

[2012-10-17] A Google User: Easy...Fast ..Awesome The best things are easy...... with a some basic info from the network administrator - I was on the net in less than 5 minutes. This exposes all the right variables to enable a connection. You just need to set them Awesome job - |
[2012-09-22] A Google User: Clone This is identical to wifi configuration by oddrain which is older. Cannot view stored wifi passwords. |
[2012-09-17] A Google User: Works as advertised Once I realised I should simply add a new network and I'd have new options, that worked a lot better than simply trying to run the app. Of course, I'm new to 'droid phones, so the learning curve got me here. |
[2012-09-14] A Google User: thanks Hello Marcus. This app is great. I am a teacher and now a can access to my school network. My smartphone wasnt that smart with android 2.1 :) Thanks |
[2012-09-13] A Google User: Great Now I can easily connect to my school's complex network.. thanks alot |
[2012-09-06] A Google User: Let's me connect to hidden SSID It works |
[2012-09-03] A Google User: Simple and effective! No frills. Very basic but does exactly what you need it to then its done. Very efficient. |
[2012-08-20] A Google User: Big help When I purchased my phone and didn't know much about smartphones yet, I realized with horror that I couldn't automatically connect to the university network. (WPA_EAP, MSCHAPV2) using this tool and some help from a forum I managed to connect. I wish the ICS version will cone out soon. |
[2012-08-08] A Google User: Not working It used to work good before I got firmware update from lg. Now it asks me to switch on WiFi and when done the entire screen goes blank. :( |
[2012-07-16] A Google User: So Sad, doesn't work with ICS Great apps that I have been using but ever since upgraded to ICS, can't work. |
[2012-07-10] A Google User: Beware! Crashed my phone This app crashed my phone. I edited a wireless config, and then the app crashed. After that, the normal wifi settings page would hang on load, USB didn't work to back up. All I could do was a factory reset, with no chance to save un-backed up data. When I re-installed, the problem wifi config seemed to work, so I guess it fixed my problem in a roundabout way... |
[2012-07-09] A Google User: Fantastic. Can connect to WEP now. |
[2012-06-29] A Google User: Effective & very useful Simple, effective, and useful. User interface not user friendly. |
[2012-06-16] A Google User: Very useful app This app is very useful if you want to hook up to a hidden network, which needs network configurations. It is very simple to use, but finding out the correct wifi configuration might be challenging esp when the IT department do not help. |
[2012-06-15] A Google User: Nice but danger This application show the Wi-Fi configuration, but for some reason got the phone into reset cycle (constant resets). Only solution was to disable the Wi-Fi then go back to factory reset. |
[2012-06-12] A Google User: Warning Galaxy S2 Phone hangs after installing Same problem. After i installed this software and was in the process of editing one AP, the phone hanged. after which i could not turn off the wifi even in flight mode. also whenever i opened settings, or wifi ace software the phone just hanged, speed of phone reduced to too low and then it started resetting automatically. Resetting the phone does not help, only option i had was to re-install firmware. i did that, and again when i installed this software same happened. Phone hangs in settings, wifi could not be disabled. |

[2012-05-04] A Google User: SGSII with ICS Works very well, now my android phone recognises my hidded Wi-Fi AP. Thanks a lot... |
[2012-05-01] A Google User: Genius! Overcomes a shortcoming in Gingerbread (and maybe other versions) in which you can not edit WPA2 Enterprise passwords (that I could find). Workaround was to Forget and re-add the network, which means lots of typing each time a password change is required (by corporate policy). This works perfectly and has a miniscule footprint (<100k). Should be built in. Get it if you need to connect to WPA2 Enterprise networks. |
[2012-04-15] A Google User: doesn't do what I hoped I'm looking for something that will show me the BSSID of my stored networks. |
[2012-04-10] A Google User: Promising... |
[2012-04-07] A Google User: Perfect This is perfect app. I want to donate in 5000 usd for u but i dont know how. Please tell me and the money is urs |
[2012-04-05] A Google User: Only way to connect I was unable to connect to a new enterprise WPA2 network with the regular wifi setup on my Samsung Stratosphere. This program was the ONLY way to connect back to my work wireless! $$$$ coming your way! |
[2012-03-28] A Google User: Simple Simple and usefull. One of a kind app |
[2012-03-20] A Google User: Solved my problem I manually configured, and get access to rpi network. |
[2012-03-12] A Google User: it works on my galaxy note this application really a big help for me, for those old configuration networks this will never fail you |

[2012-01-25] A Google User: Simple and effective I use this app to connect to a very secure 802.1x network at work. Works great! Simple to use if you understand enterprise networks. Not much use for home use. |
[2012-01-25] A Google User: GNex/4.0 Support is not there App installs perfectly fine. Will allow me to change the settings I need. Only problem is that on ICS 4.0.2/4.0.3 it will not save changes. Attempted to use the [...] buttons on ICS that usually hide the other functions in apps, but nothing comes up. Used it before, worked ok. Now it doesn't work for the device I have. GNex Liquid ICS |
[2012-01-23] A Google User: Doesn't work on ICS I've been using this in a corporate environment to connect our development tablets to our crazy IEEE 802.1x MSCHAPV2 setup on 3.x and below successfully, but the app does not successfully connect to this type of corporate network in 4.0+ |
[2012-01-19] A Google User: Doesn't save settings Doesn't work whatsoever -ASUS Transformer, 3.2 |
[2012-01-18] A Google User: Galaxy Nexus Problem Does not work with the Galaxy Nexus. Will not save settings. |

[2012-01-17] A Google User: Doesn't work well with Galaxy Nexus I installed this in hopes of connecting to my work network, but it won't even save the settings. I uncheck a checkbox only to find it is checked again. This is a serious bug. |
[2012-01-16] A Google User: Great Maybe some profile managment would come in handy, but otherwise a great app. |
[2012-01-13] A Google User: It worked for eduroam on gingerbread My gingerbread version would not save phase2 authentication, thus app fixed the problem. Just deselect 802.11xx on eduroam connection |
[2012-01-10] A Google User: 802.11x doesn't work on ICS - same Same comment as John on January 9 2012 |
[2012-01-09] A Google User: 802.11x doesn't work on ICS Upgraded to my galaxy nexus and it won't save any settings for my work's wifi. It uses the 802.11x enterprise thing, and this app wont saving my config changes when I press Back. |
[2012-01-06] A Google User: AWESOME I have a Galaxy Nexus with Verizon Wireless and this app works great. I haven't had a single issue with it. |
[2012-01-05] A Google User: HTC Desire Worked for me, almost effortless |
[2012-01-03] A Google User: Worked great on Droid, not so great on G Nexus This app worked flawlessly on my Motorola Droid, allowing me to connect to the wireless network at work. For some strange reason though, when I use it on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus my phone cannot connect to the wireless network. Not sure if it's the phone or the program, but just wanted to let others know this might not work on the Verizon version of the Galaxy Nexus. |
[2011-12-30] A Google User: Short WEP key Could not log into wifi with short WEP key. This app fixed that easily. |
[2011-12-29] A Google User: Great Super |
[2011-12-05] A Google User: Google needs to make this life-saving app obsolete Finally got my phone on corporate wifi (tried several times over a year time). Sad state that this is necessary when iOS's wpa enterprise works out of the box. |
[2011-11-30] A Google User: Excelent app for enterprise configurations. Excelent app to edit advanced configuration. I recommend this app for enterprise configurations. |
[2011-11-04] A Google User: I am indifferent about this App One one hand it allowed me to connect to my corporate network using PEAP and MSCHAV2 but on the other hand it has bugged out on two seperate devices in my company, not only that it then seems to complete screw the wireless up on the device, such that even after uninstalling the app, wireless on the device appears permanently buggy. |
[2011-10-05] A Google User: Its good it you know what your doing |
[2011-09-14] A Google User: Don't work on galaxy sii |

[2011-08-04] A Google User: Works wonderfully! A direct frontend to Linux's wpa.conf. If you can connect Linux to a network, you can use this app with the same settings. |
[2011-07-26] A Google User: Finally a WiFi app that woked to gain access! I've been fighting with getting LEAP configuration to work on My Galaxy S, but with little success until I used this app. I've tried the others but they just do not compare!. Within seconds after editing the settings I was connected. If I could give six stars I would! This a must have app for someone with enterprise connection needs. |
