NOTE: WiFiACE DOES NOT WORK YET WITH ANDROID 4.0 ICS OR GALAXY NEXUS AS I DO NOT HAVE A COMPATIBLE DEVICE TO TEST ON. THIS IS A KNOWN BUG. I accept hardware and money donations, as soon as I will be able to buy a compatible device (or I receive it as a donation) it will be fixed.

WiFiACE is a very simple tool that allows you to edit the advanced parameters of the configured wireless networks.

It allows you to:
- Set WPA Enterprise and Personal parameters, like wpa_supplicant allows you to
- Set SSID (aka ESSID): Allow to connect automatically, but only to specific AP (or AP network).
- Set BSSID to disable roaming within an extended AP network, and connect only to specific AP.
(note: There is no need to specify a BSSID if there is only one AP in the network)
- Set the WEP key index
- Free and Open Source Software

Beware! Crashed my phone This app crashed my phone. I edited a wireless config, and then the app crashed. After that, the normal wifi settings page would hang on load, USB didn't work to back up. All I could do was a factory reset, with no chance to save un-backed up data. When I re-installed, the problem wifi config seemed to work, so I guess it fixed my problem in a roundabout way...

Very useful app This app is very useful if you want to hook up to a hidden network, which needs network configurations. It is very simple to use, but finding out the correct wifi configuration might be challenging esp when the IT department do not help.

Nice but danger This application show the Wi-Fi configuration, but for some reason got the phone into reset cycle (constant resets). Only solution was to disable the Wi-Fi then go back to factory reset.

Genius! Overcomes a shortcoming in Gingerbread (and maybe other versions) in which you can not edit WPA2 Enterprise passwords (that I could find). Workaround was to Forget and re-add the network, which means lots of typing each time a password change is required (by corporate policy). This works perfectly and has a miniscule footprint (<100k). Should be built in. Get it if you need to connect to WPA2 Enterprise networks.

Simple and effective I use this app to connect to a very secure 802.1x network at work. Works great! Simple to use if you understand enterprise networks. Not much use for home use.

I am indifferent about this App One one hand it allowed me to connect to my corporate network using PEAP and MSCHAV2 but on the other hand it has bugged out on two seperate devices in my company, not only that it then seems to complete screw the wireless up on the device, such that even after uninstalling the app, wireless on the device appears permanently buggy.
