WhoIsIt Lite is a ringtone / notification manager which has the following features:

Not bad but it's stuck on the predefined apps It's able to differentiate between different apps, but only those apps that are predefined (Gmail, K-9, etc); it doesn't see other apps such as Yahoo Mail, Kik, etc. Also, can't set profiles on free version.

Gmail broken This works great except for Gmail. You can tell it not to use gmail and then install K9 to work around this. However if you do this you need to either use K9 exclusively or live with double notifications. This would probably be the best app on android if it was maintained.

Acting Crazy Had this app on my original Droid and liked it. Recently got a RAZR and installed it, but after setting it up (3 times), it eventually picks random sounds for my notifications; from a full mp3 song (nothing like getting 2 emails in the span of a minute, and hearing a 4 minute long sound doing multiple rounds) or nothing at all (silent). Great concept, juts not executed well. Also, the only thing it's missing (besides working properly) is the notification light. Kind of an Achille's heal for me as well.

Does just what I needed it to do! I needed something to customize text notifications for individual contacts.. and this works great!! Will/Can be great When/If this app gets fixed What this app does is something that Google ought to incorporate directly into Android-- a more robust (optional) multilevel notification scheme. This app can be learned pretty quickly if you are patient, but as many others here have noted, it keeps triggering forced closes on both my Galaxy Tab 7" and Nexus One. Fix it and I'm likely to upgrade to the paid version.

Works great on Evo 3D I also use my phone as a pager for work. So it is nice to be able to set a seperate annoying ringtone to wake me up when paged. I recently migrated my cell #(which also migrates text messages) to google voice and this app handles voice messages no problem.
