Don't waste your money!!! I have a Galaxy S2. I had the lite version and loved it, no problems. So I decided to get the full version, and every time I get a text message my entire screen freezes. I can't unlock my phone, I can't even hit the restart button, I have to do a force shut off every time.

Used to Love It Really disappointed the support is gone for this purchased app. Crashes my S3 . Only a reboot via battery pull will make the phone work again. Had to do 3 battery pulls just to get it uninstalled because texts coming in from configured contacts kept locking up the phone.

DO NOT PURCHASE! This app was a 5 until it stopped working and the developer disappeared. It was exactly what I was looking for--I was able to silence all texts/calls except VIP. This was necessary because my husband was very ill and I needed to keep my phone on for emergency calls but wanted to silence it to everyone else. Now all calls/texts come through and it's worthless. Does anyone know of a similar type app? I need this!

Used to work I downloaded this app a shortly after I got my HTC Vivid and a loved it. About a month or so ago it just quit working. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice, and it will work for a day or so, and then just stop working. No updates have been made for quite sometime and I am now looking for another app that has the same functionality that will actually work and is supported by the developer!

Abandoned project I loved this app until it quit getting updated. It doesn't work completely on the Galaxy S3/ICS. It isn't crashing, but it doesn't control notification volume. If I don't manually turn off sound at night I get woke up by text messages now, so I have to move on to another app.

Ding Dong? Anyone home? Andy... I bought Whoisit quite a while ago (1-1.5 years) and I don't believe I have seen a single update! Don't tell me you made so much money that you retired in the Bahamas!! (please!) I have found a few bugs (Aug. 3 2011 version) that I would like you to know about, but apparently if I don't have Twitter I can't get your attention other than doing this here. Whoisit needs help! It used to be the greatest app I had, which is exactly why I bought it... now, it works sometimes, settings do not backup and/or restore properly (such as the ringtones chosen), and and and and.... DISAPPOINTED PAYING CUSTOMER.

Bad functionality Doesn't seem to work properly on my new RAZR. The option to turn off other ringers doesn't. The tap to silence function doesn't work. Keep up to date if you're gonna charge people. Edit-stopped playing notifications. Seriously update this.

Shouldn't have uninstalled Ringtone Picker Epic 4G Gingerbread Only had one small issue with WhoIsIt right from the beginning, months ago... BEFORE uninstalling Ringtone Picker today. Set to handle "Unknown Callers" with a different tone, but the normal Voice ringer overlaps the "Unknown". Wish I hadn't uninstalled Picker. Now I have numerous issues including, overlapping ringers and get this, when I get a VM, it double fires the VM tone and the SMS tone?!?! then the touchscreen LOCKS UP. Actually just the main part. I can pull down the notification tab but then it locks in place. Only solution is to remove the battery. REALLY annoying new problem is when any ringer fires with the earphones plugged in, the phone speaker IS STILL ACTIVE. All that said, except for the original annoyance, I've found this to be a good app overall. Very versatile. I'm only docking one star on these issues because it seems obvious my uninstalling the other one didn't sit well with WII. Fact remains though they did not play well enough together to part ways on good terms. Really hesitate to reinstall it, concerned it would cause more problems. Headed for a factory reset if I don't find a fix soon.

Locks up my phone This is a great app except when I have an app open then it locks up my phone when I get an email or a txt msg, I have to reboot. Android should have this feature built into the contacts and also the email since I would like to know who is sending email to me comcast account. Hopefully this app will be updated to work on ICS. I have the Galaxy note with Android 2.3.6 - can't wait for ICS.

Is this the death of a great app ? This developer has become the invisible man....... For those of you using late 2.3.6 GB on Samsung galaxy s 2 or if you are using a 4.0.3 ICS leak as I am you may experience a freeze on Touch Wiz. This should be built into Android, but this applic EDIT: Broken. Used to be very good, now just plain doesn't work. Notifications fail to play, hasn't been updated in 6 months. ORIGINAL REVIEW, NOW DISREGARD: This should be built into Android, but this application makes notifications just as robust as on the Blackberry. Very impressive.

Used to be great This app solved many problems for me, namely the ability to create VIP contacts that ring my phone no matter what state it's in. That is...until the recent update. The developer USED to be very responsive. I even helped him debug some issues with the app, in order to make it better. Then, something happened and he went missing. The app now suffers from several issues: 1) VIP contacts for cell ringtone no longer work. 2) Ghost notifications (I have a dot-dot-dot (...) vibration for Gmail message. If I'm merely VIEWING these messages in Gmail, I get notified AGAIN. I would not recommend purchasing this app until it's updated.

Totally broke my messaging tones After last update, my phone doesn't play sms notifications at all. This is true whether I am using WhoIsIt or trying to just set a default tone even after the app was installed... Now all I have is vibrate for SMS. Looks like I will have to do a full factory restore to fix. Verizon HTC Incredible w/ Froyo.

No longer works with updated Gmail On my Droid (version 1), this app crashes every time I receive an email. I had to turn off its management of gmail notifications to prevent the loss of all my audible notifications (as it would otherwise crash, and thus not be able respond to incoming events). Would be helpful to be able to assign a certain ringtone to certain groups, e.g. "Family" or "Starred." Ringtone for unlisted/unknown numbers simply plays the ringtone over the standard ringtone, so I have two at once. Definitely needs some tweaks.

Free version worked ok, by now with paid version, Galaxy S Vibran is now unresponsive, often can't answer incoming call. Uninstall fixes it.
