Watchdog Task Manager (v. 3.6.7) Разработано Zomut |
Stop killing your apps randomly. Start monitoring them with Watchdog.
You don't need a task killer. But you do need a way to make sure a background app doesn't lose control and eat up all your CPU. Watchdog monitors your apps and alerts when one loses control, allowing you to kill just that single app. Killing apps blindly can cause them to stop working as designed, and most app developers won't even take a bug report from you if you are using a task killer!
From Android 2.2 on, the kill command works only on background apps, and they will likely restart immediately. Watchdog removes the app immediately from the list, since there isn't feedback about whether it was successful. Having lots of apps running doesn't hurt your phone at all unless they are doing something. In fact, killing an app and having it immediately restart simply consumes your phones resources. If you just leave the apps running, they will start immediately when you want to go back to it.
The paid version has all the features of the lite, removing the ads, while adding a “blacklist” feature. This allows you to pick a single app that is constantly misbehaving and assign a CPU % threshold to it. When that app exceeds the threshold, it will be automatically killed.
So stop blindly killing all your apps; be smart by managing them instead. Good for all versions of Android.
Please note that due to the nature of this app, it is hard to decide about a refund within 15 minutes. You can contact us from Google Checkout or via email within 48 hours for a full refund.
NOTE: There is an Android issue where Watchdog might crash upon launching after an upgrade. It seems to be related to the upgrade of the app while the old version happens to be executing in the background. It doesn't affect your phone's operation at all. If this happens, re-launch and goto the menu and hit restart for proper monitoring.

[2013-10-13] A Google User: Crucial app to have This has been the best app I've found for finding out of control apps running on that background and without it, I'd never have suspected the Amazon app store as the culprit. Thanks to Watchdog, it's now a goner and I'll no longer use an alternative app store. |
[2013-10-09] A Google User: Crashing frequently This used to work great but after upgrading to JB it is crashing everyday. Please examine the log and fix it. |
[2013-10-06] A Google User: Good so far I am new to this so am not sure what I am rating, so far I think it has helped me identify why my phone us so hot, some of my apps are CPU hogs :) |
[2013-10-01] A Google User: Useful and easy to understand. Competent and clean layout with a no nonsense and informative tool set. If you want an application that let's you no where your system resources are going then look no further. With the ability to kill and manage foreground and background processes this is the app for you. |
[2013-09-27] A Google User: Great App |
[2013-09-26] A Google User: Doesn't track after a reboot I like the app interface, but unfortunately, I have something that is misbehaving in such a way that the only solution is to reboot the phone. But after that, the app just shows everything being fine, since near as I can tell it does not track it's alerts across reboots. If it does, than it's just not noticing the problematic app or service. I sent an email to the developer, but I got no response. Overall, this is a bit of a disappointment. |
[2013-09-24] A Google User: Watchdog has crashed It's just can't work... |
[2013-09-19] A Google User: Sharp eyes Thanks |
[2013-09-13] A Google User: Unobtrusive Good info. Not as aggressive as other task killers but did a good job at identifying problem apps. |
[2013-09-10] A Google User: Works well wish black list had more options. Good App |
[2013-09-10] A Google User: Nice app Does what it suppose to |

[2013-09-04] A Google User: Any updates in near future? Can't trust any security app that won't be supported on a regular basis. Two years since last update. |
[2013-08-28] A Google User: It works Never fails |
[2013-08-27] A Google User: Great app. Some standard task killer functions (like auto-kill) would complete this app. |

[2013-08-22] A Google User: Good Very nice save battery |
[2013-08-21] A Google User: Me Good stuff |

[2013-08-14] A Google User: Good app needs a refresh Wondering if there will be an update for this app. I am getting a lot of what I believe to be false alerts. Android 4.2.2 soon to be 4.3 |
[2013-08-12] A Google User: Best of breed! This is, hands down, the best app of its type. Don't be misled by that it hasn't been updated in a while... don't fix it if it ain't broke, as they say. This app has become one of those without which I would never operate an Android device. Make sure you understand why it's different from other task killers, because that's the reason to use it. Again, best of breed! |
[2013-08-07] A Google User: Very useful Adjustable alerts are great, helped me identify some consistently poor performers so I could uninstall them and use alternates. Doesn't seem to affect performance or battery time itself much, despite running in the background. Good app! |
[2013-08-05] A Google User: Good... Seems to get the job done |
[2013-08-04] A Google User: Superb! Excellent application that does exactly what I need it to do! |

[2013-07-30] A Google User: Great |
[2013-07-28] A Google User: Please add Have it automatically blacklist an app after exceeding the cpu threshold a certain number of times based on the user defined setting. |
[2013-07-22] A Google User: Great app |
[2013-07-21] A Google User: Note 2 Really nice app! |
[2013-07-20] A Google User: Great app So simple and easy to use. |
[2013-07-17] A Google User: Great. Have used this on all of my phones and tablets. The must have app for any type of user. I love thee blacklist function for troublesome apps that take a lot of memory like Facebook. Will continue to use. Keep up the good work. |
[2013-07-10] A Google User: Still trying to figure out how to use it so I get the best performance! |
[2013-07-09] A Google User: Always alert Never fails to alert me when something is wrong under the hood |
[2013-07-04] A Google User: Great app Vety useful tool |
[2013-06-28] A Google User: Watchdog I just up graded to Motorola RAZR Max HD. Just in stalled tonight. Will give results in a week or so. From what I read, this seems to be the best. More later. Bob. |
[2013-06-24] A Google User: Useful Very useful and easy to use. |
[2013-06-12] A Google User: I have an android with ICS and he added 32gbyte memory I constantly rum out of memory with no warmings ROM waychdog Not helpful to warn too at killing apps to clear memory |
[2013-06-12] A Google User: Similar to titanium backup Dont see the point if you have titanium backup but still no functionality issues. Works as intended |
[2013-06-10] A Google User: Galaxy s2 Simple and clear and highly valued app but sadly continually crashes since my s2 got jelly bean. |
[2013-06-10] A Google User: It's good Seems to make phone run smooth and prolong battery life |
[2013-06-08] A Google User: Works Great Program works great on the Verizon S4 and Verizon Tab 2 7.0. The cpu alerts are great and let me kill programs. |
[2013-06-07] A Google User: finally I've been using the light version fit years finally decided to get the full version its a amazing product that works wonders this should come stock great job |
[2013-06-06] A Google User: Excellent excellent app This makes managing app in your background processes so much easier. Definitely no need for a task killer, a task killer will only empty out your RAM and automatic updating will refill the RAM. Refilling the RAM uses CPU which in turn uses more battery. Other task killers really did no difference of battery saving, this one gets results. This helps you manage your apps by monitoring their CPU usage, much better approach. And if something is using too much of the CPU and you know it doesn't need to be running you can set the app at 0% CPU threshold to shut down that app, kind of like a task killer. I love the paid version with blacklist and whitelist enabled |
[2013-06-03] A Google User: A must have |
[2013-05-30] A Google User: A must have! Works great!! |
[2013-05-24] A Google User: Awesome battery saver I only wish it had a prettier UI. But if it never got one, I'd still be thrilled with the app. |
[2013-05-12] A Google User: Ok Like it. However should have more options. |
[2013-05-08] A Google User: I recomend this app. It helped me locate the app that was bogging down my phone. I like it. |
[2013-05-03] A Google User: Must have Should have come with the phone! |
[2013-04-22] A Google User: Big improvement Does what it say it will do. |
[2013-04-19] A Google User: Great Good one! |
[2013-04-16] A Google User: A must have app My phone used to be a great pocket warmer now it runs nice and cool and my battery life has increased dramatically. So happy I got this app. |
[2013-04-16] A Google User: Works great! Can you please add more polling interval options? 1 minute is too long and 10 seconds is too short. I also have some ideas to improve the app: since some apps (especially cheap games) have background services running 24/7 that never really need to be there, this app should have an option to automatically kill unwanted background services. Also, a "restart if misbehaving" feature would be great since there may be apps I want to keep open as long as they aren't screwing up. |
[2013-04-08] A Google User: Solid app Helps me manage my phone and tablet better |
[2013-04-04] A Google User: Good!!!! Quite good app. I am not sure if it drains my battery or it saves it by blocking the other apps... Still good though.... |
[2013-04-02] A Google User: Wtf Great app ;) |
[2013-04-02] A Google User: Great app but Wish blacklist was more user friendly. Other than that its great. 5 stars. |
[2013-04-01] A Google User: Works quite well Very good at stopping unwanted background cpu usage. I only wish it would also let me end unnecessary background RAM usage. |
[2013-03-31] A Google User: Needs update All kind of issues on 4.2 |
[2013-03-29] A Google User: Ol' reliable... is also... Ol' essential. Solid performance enhancer and stability concept and it's application set apart from others for years. Woof woof! Thx! |
[2013-03-29] A Google User: Useful |
[2013-03-29] A Google User: Excellent! I would definitely recommend it. I like it better than the task kill, it is worth its price. |
[2013-03-26] A Google User: Useful and reliable It's a great tool without being a resource hog. The interface is user friendly to boot... what's not to love. |
[2013-03-24] A Google User: Very nice program! Its approach to task management fits the Android system perfectly. Use it all the time to see whats using CPU and white- and blacklist where need be. Or occasionally kill a task directly. |
[2013-03-23] A Google User: Good app Works well. Catches pesky apps that hog memory. |
[2013-03-21] A Google User: Great app Quietly runs in the background and only pops up if there's a runaway app. |
[2013-03-19] A Google User: Spam . |
[2013-03-18] A Google User: Bugssssss I purchased and installed tis application.. and now got problem.. wen I switch on mobile, there is no startup tone in my HTC ones plus..can u fix this incompapilte and let us know? As of now I uninstalled the application... |
[2013-03-18] A Google User: Watchdog Seems like a pretty good app but I just started using it |
[2013-03-18] A Google User: Very usefull Very usefull app |
[2013-03-14] A Google User: Great! I don't think I actually need the features this provides over the free version. But I just decided that since this program is so nice to have I should support the developer on this one. It is not often that you actually get alerted by this application, but when you do happen to install a crappy application and it gives you an alert, it is really nice to have. |
[2013-02-26] A Google User: Great app it really let's you know when something is not working properly on your device I give it an a+! |
[2013-02-25] A Google User: At ease. The fact that they think google play is Jewish with their 15 minute grace period is enough for me to want to give the devs a high five. The app is just a sweet bonus. Nothing but blue stars, here. Edit: GOOD DOG. <3 |
[2013-02-20] A Google User: Very helpful Very helpful tool to profile your own phone. Plenty of easy to use features to get a grip on apps that went ballistic! |
[2013-02-20] A Google User: Very useful! I kept having problems with AP Mobile widget, it kept using CPU even though I never use it. Now blacklisted, problem solved! |
[2013-02-19] A Google User: Best "app killer" Android does not reccomend blindly killing apps when ram is low. Android has a system for that. But when an app misbehaves and takes over CPU Watchdog is just the thing to reign it in and keep your Android running smoothly. |
[2013-02-18] A Google User: Task Manager is a joke Great. Work well on free galaxy note 2. |
[2013-02-11] A Google User: Useful It would be useful if ALL apps could be frozen. Some simply don't have the black list option. Otherwise very good tracking tool. |
[2013-02-10] A Google User: A must have! Memory managers don't quite solve the problem. Don't worry about what's in ram, worry about what's eating your cpu cycles. This is a must have app! |
[2013-02-03] A Google User: Very handy On advice, went with this approach instead of an application killer, so far very happy, allows me to see any misbehaving apps, the do something about it if needed, great App :-) |
[2013-02-03] A Google User: paul thanx zomut, this is the best app on android for managing ur apps. if anyone can't understand it then go to website and it's all in black and white. my battery and phone works sweet all the time. don't kill those apps, just manage them. beta than juice defender |
[2013-02-01] A Google User: Pretty good Handy and I think better than an automatic app killer |
[2013-02-01] A Google User: Really useful app! Much better than app killer. |
[2013-01-29] A Google User: Great app Great app for looking out for phone CPU. Make the phone faster. Save a lot of battery life. No more reg task killerfor me. Thanks you. |
[2013-01-29] A Google User: Nealneew Gooooooood! |
[2013-01-29] A Google User: very helpful |
[2013-01-28] A Google User: App Alert This app works very well and does what it is supposed to do. |
[2013-01-25] A Google User: Perfect Got this app after experiencing battery issues since updating to 4.2.1 and since I got Watchdog, I've not had a single problem! My battery lasts way longer now, awesome. |
[2013-01-18] A Google User: working good So far since I've installed the app, I haven't had a problem with the phone running slow. |
[2013-01-14] A Google User: It so super I really like how u have the abilty to have the setting the way u want. And it also tell the idle of your phone that's a plus. |
[2013-01-12] A Google User: Excellent App! The better alternative to a Task Killer/Manager and this app delivers as advertised. Had to uninstall after more than a year coz I've noticed that it uses alot of RAM whilst running on the background. |
[2013-01-09] A Google User: The more I use it, the more I get dissapointed. This was the first task monitor program I installed on Android. Initially I had the free version, and during the time I decided to purchase this App. Guess what? Many times Ive wanted to uninstall it, because it doesnt do much. Who cares about the battery drain? There are so many ways you can make the battery last longer. Like putting the screen light darker. See? Problem solved! Actually I was thinking of an Android app that could tell me what aplication drains the CPU usage. But the applications are obvious and it didnt take long after lots of fighting with them to take them out. Now: There is still CPU drain and my phone didnt get much better except I read on an article basically when your smartphone goes below 30 mb memory left, then your phone would start freezing. What more any automatic task killer app would do the trick. And they have much more tunning guide on how to use it. The paid version is not much different than the free version. A very simple help guide exists. OK ok the publicity makes your phone freeze. but, was Watchdog supposed to monitorand make your smartphone go smoother. There is much to be desired. Devs should update this app. I paid for it! |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Great app Does exactly what is says. Never freezes very solid app. |
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Better than the rest It allows you to manage your phone and control what apps to stop running and shows you what's using the most space with alerts. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Useful Really useful for diagnosing issues with misbehaving apps |
[2012-12-24] A Google User: good one..... |
