[2013-07-20] A Google User: Status bar icon never works Only 3 stars because i have never been able to get the status bar notification working. |
[2013-07-18] A Google User: HTC evo shift 4g Sound state does not revert when I unplug headphones. HTC evo shift. |
[2013-06-14] A Google User: Volume lock EXCEPTIONS Please make the volume lock work. It's a great feature but it never works. 5 stars if it works. 5 Stars for making the lock feature work. It works great. NOW I need to allow my family (or other VIPs) to call me during a silent mode. If you know an app that works well with your locked volume feature, I would love to know. Or even better, add the VIP feature to this AWESOME program. |
[2013-05-20] A Google User: Great app for managing sound profiles -- updated This is a great app with widget to manage sound volumes profiles to automatically switch to silent and back based on time of day and day of week. Thanks. -Update: I changed the rating from 5 stars to 2 stars. I recently upgraded my phone from SGSII to HTC One and now I cannot set up Volume Ace the same as before. I had it set to go silent at night except for a phone call (in the event of an emergency) but the volume sliders for "ringer", "notficiations" and "system" are all locked together and cannot be adjusted individually. Fix this and it will be a 5 star product again. Thanks for your anticipated resolution. |
[2013-05-08] A Google User: Great App, Great Support Loved Volume Ace on my HTC Incredible. Being able to set multiple sound profiles and put them on a schedule made it easy to automatically turn off late night email notifications and leave my ringer on. When I updated to a new HTC Incredible 2, it didn't work as well: notification and ringer volume were tied in the new OS. I tried to workaround by setting the notification sound to "silent" but that crashed the app. I sent BrainCrash a bug report and they rolled the fix into the next release. Now I'm sleeping easy again in the peace and quiet. Great product and great support. Highly recommended. |
[2013-05-02] A Google User: Good 5 *'s for Auto rotate....Been a couple of years...? Still doesn't rotate. |
[2013-05-01] A Google User: Works perfectly for me Galaxy note 2 on jelly bean |
[2013-05-01] A Google User: Spot on Wanted an app that supported volume profiles. Got an app that supported volume profiles... Job done! |
[2013-04-27] A Google User: Keeps resetting volumes when it shouldn't If you use the schedule feature and then have to manually override the volume (such as going to the movies) the app will restore the volume to the level that it would normally be on for the schedule. It's very annoying when you go to a movie, silence the phone, and 30 minutes later you hear your phone ring. Also, I have mine set to mute calls while at work. If I leave early for the day and I override the volume to full, within 30 minutes the volume is reset back to mute so I end up missing calls. I have emailed the developer on this, they responded once for more inf, sent in examples and two weeks later no response. My rating will remain a 1 until this bug is fixed as a user should not have to adjust their volumes every 30 minutes. |
[2013-04-11] A Google User: Very nice, upgraded from Volume Control Recently upgraded my ROM from GB to ICS. In the process had some issues with another volume app. Moved over to Volume Ace which looks very nice and plays well with ICS. Bought the Pro version to support the developer. I would like a Widget design that is just Profiles. Any chance of getting that? |
[2013-03-24] A Google User: Great function, Poor widget Bought this recently for the functionality. Was very led down by audio manager and this did a much better job at sound management. But the widget limitations on sizing and custom themes should be better as it does not fit well on 5x5 screens. |
[2013-03-07] A Google User: HTC One X Plus Audio lock in notification bar does not appear so can't be used. Otherwise a great app. Please advise. |
[2013-03-03] A Google User: getting better Not so bad now.... ADD HOLO THEME? EDIT: because I can't respond to your answer directly, I'm writing here. You wrong. Issue was when I switching in Volume Ace from one profile to another manually. |
[2013-02-23] A Google User: 5/5 just One thing I like your upgrade. And nice theme & widjet. Please make allowed to do backup for my profile. Keep it going on :-) |
[2013-02-22] A Google User: 2/3/13 update makes volume changes not show I just updated to the newest version and when I change the volume, the numbers change but the graphic sliders stay the same. This is very confusing please fix Update: new update fixed graphical issues and widget. Great dev! |
[2013-02-12] A Google User: Recent update killed widget The 1x1 widget no longer shows the profile name as it did before. |
[2013-02-11] A Google User: Widget looks weird on my tablet The large widget looks wrong on my Asus Transformer Prime. Seems stretched or something. I tried to contact the developer but got no response. |
[2013-02-11] A Google User: Bad update Wow, that just got way worse. No more multi-function 1x1 widget, and the 2x1 doesn't fit in its space in a 5x5 grid. |
[2013-02-08] A Google User: Was ok Up until the recent revamps this worked fine, now it unreliable both in scheduled profile switching and profile changes due to headset insertion. |
[2013-02-05] A Google User: Recent update Since most recent updates, neither scheduler nor plug settings are working. Additionally, unable to set schedules to match my week. Please create an option to set open ended schedules. |
[2013-02-05] A Google User: Excellently Basic Very simple with a great new look! |
[2013-02-05] A Google User: UPDATED: Very good, but dropped one star. Great application and prettier. Although, still no support for separate ringtone and notification volumes. This is a standard required functionality. |
[2013-02-05] A Google User: Pretty Good up until recently Up until recently I would have give Volume Ace five stars. Over the last couple of updates thought it has REALLY started irritating me. No matter what I do, no matter what ring tones, notification tones, etc... I set... if I reboot my phone it resets all my tones back to the Volume Ace defaults and then I have to go through and reset them BACK to what I had had them set to. It's just not worth the hassle. My recommendation? Try a few different volume control apps out. Find one that works for you. Go with that one. If that turns out to be Volume Ace... I'm happy for you. If it turns out to be a different app... I'm happy for you. Just so long as you find one that does what you want or need it to do. |
[2013-02-04] A Google User: Awesome, solid app I've used a number of volume managers, some paid, and Volume Ace wins hands-down: it's more complete, better looking, and runs with no problems on my SGS2. The dev has worked hard to release lots of updates and additions, too. |
[2013-02-04] A Google User: Samsung galaxy s3 Worked well, but crashes since last update :-( |
[2013-01-27] A Google User: Ringer and Notification same? I have been using this app for a long time to settle a marital dispute-I need to have my phone on 24/7 but my wife hates the email notifications all night. This app used to let me keep the Notifications volume low but call volume up, now the two are linked. What happened? |
[2013-01-21] A Google User: Matt After using AudioManager Pro for nearly 2 years, I had to make a switch due to recent bugs in my Samsung GS3.....This one seemed to fit the bill very well. It would be nice to have a 4x1 widget though. |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: FC after latest update Never got a force close before, but now I get them when changing notification sounds. |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Yaaay! Scheduler finally works. |
[2013-01-16] A Google User: Profile selection Have to select profiles twice in order for them to take effect. What's up with that? Otherwise awesome app. |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Decent App My issue is the scheduler does not work on my RAZR, so I have to manually switch, and unfortunately sometimes I forget and miss things. |
[2012-12-23] A Google User: Galaxy note The scheduler doesn't work on my galaxy note2 uninstall and no work on my galaxy s3 |
[2012-12-09] A Google User: Is working again Absolutely love this app when everything is working. Now that I have my new GS3, all seems to be perfect again. |
[2012-11-28] A Google User: Stellar Would be nice to be able to backup settings. Recreating all profiles and schedules after flashing is a pain. |
[2012-11-28] A Google User: Pretty good app with responsive developer Love this app! Best volume control app out there with very good choices of widget. Developer is listening to suggestions and response is fast! |
[2012-11-22] A Google User: Awesome I never have to think about my phone volume now... always works and has never let me down! |
[2012-11-21] A Google User: Update messed up the widget The latest update (2.8.9) fixed the widget issue that was in the previous version. Back to 5 stars! |
[2012-11-14] A Google User: Great app I have tried a few of these apps but this by far the best. Works well with Jelly Bean on my HTC phone. |
[2012-11-11] A Google User: Now messed up Used to work good and easy. Now it takes too much goofing around with settings to make the widget work, which is only reason i bought it, and results are not reliable. Updates seem to change things - I'm not even sure cause it's kind of unpredictable. Have to give one star cause I'm probably going to uninstall, and that means one star to me. Sorry if it's me who is wrong. But still, this should not be rocket science? |
[2012-10-25] A Google User: Works well with ICS. I tried a bunch of different apps after I installed Ice Cream Sandwich on my Bionic. This is the only one that had a widget that would work for vibrate. |
[2012-10-22] A Google User: Still no additional colors in the latest version. Needs either a bigger selection or a color wheel. Also, transparency would be great. Uninstalling until this is addressed. It's a shame, because I really like these widgets otherwise. Will reinstall when they won't stick out like a sore thumb against most of my themes. |
[2012-10-07] A Google User: Still waiting for an Update... It worked once I liked ..Now sounds lower & Other apps. Affected..Had to Uninstall..Want to use though out of most out there.. |
[2012-10-04] A Google User: Settings change automatically On HTC sensation running ics volume is set to 0 for ring and notification but changes automatically to 3 on schedule change so each night I have to manually adjust like I did before this app. |
[2012-10-01] A Google User: Keeps loosing the ringtones, alarms, and notifications that have been assigned to each profile. This makes this App hard Work and somewhat self defeating. Please could this issue be resolved. |
[2012-09-25] A Google User: Top app Makes life very easy with the profiles. Fully customizable Great app |
[2012-09-08] A Google User: Good App Good App |
[2012-09-05] A Google User: Problem with "plugs" feature Great app. Would give it 5* if the plug feature was working correctly and also the link btw notif and ring volume (as it seems to work on jelly bean - tested). ie: If I plug the headphones, scheduler is working perfectly but whenever I unplug it, it returns to previous profile, which is correct, but the settings are not set to initial profile values but random - mostly media setting (an little * appear next to profile name) ???? Samsung Galaxy S2 with 4.0.4 |
[2012-08-22] A Google User: Awesome! Very nice app, but my alarm still sounds even when app says muted. Set any task killer to ignore for the scheduler to work properly. |
[2012-08-15] A Google User: Memory Eater The app works as it should, but it eats my memory like crazy, uninstalled and my memory was normal, plz fix |
[2012-08-07] A Google User: Love this app BUT... Thanks to the new ICS 4.04 cock up with ringtones and notifications being linked I now can't use this app properly.... Pls dev can you produce a fix?? I'm lost without this great app!! |
[2012-08-07] A Google User: Best Volume App This is as close as I get to the old days on the BlackBerry where you could set a volume profile, then relax and know you won't miss anything, ever. For some reason Android makes this a pain, especially with the recent ICS changes (link between Ringtones and Notifications that can't be disabled without special programming skills). The only thing I really want is a skin to make it look like a "stock" ICS android system app (blue circle sliders on black background). Apart from that no complaints. Thanks! |
[2012-07-27] A Google User: Change to widget a step back Installed latest update and now the widget no longer displays the current profile. Need to put that back the way it was. |
[2012-07-24] A Google User: ICS issue needs to be fixed Whoever thought it was a good idea to permanently link ring tone and notification volume needs to get smacked. Not the devs fault though and the plugs setting makes it worth having until a fix is made. |
[2012-07-19] A Google User: Screenshot shows Notification link but missing My Droid Razr got the ICS upgrade and now the link between volume settings is broken (ie adjust Ring and Notifications simultaneously) The screenshots clearly show an option to link these volumes but it is not present in the installed app. The schedule allows me to set this up for when I am at work (Moto Smart Actions won't allow me to do this) so the app is not worthless to me but the major reason I purchased it isn't even present. |
[2012-07-09] A Google User: Causes ringtone bug. This app caused a frustrating bug where my phone would constantly forget my ringtone settings and switch back to the default ringtone and turn off vibration causing me to miss multiple calls. Uninstall this app and the bug is gone. |
[2012-07-06] A Google User: Small widget idea please please! That has profile name and toggle. Like the medium widget without the bars please! |
[2012-07-04] A Google User: Loved it Stopped working after the update. Force quits. |
[2012-07-03] A Google User: Unreliable Samsung galaxy S2 and Samsung galaxy note, paid pro. When I first installed it, it worked great. Next update it stopped working. This went on for months. Its now not working again or works when it wants to which is rare. I guess at least it gives you a 1 touch volume changes, just don't rely on the time change. Or try Llama profile changer. That program has way more features. |
[2012-07-02] A Google User: super...more colors plz i bought it... in one minute... Burn... |
[2012-06-25] A Google User: Good app except... Ringer and Notification bars slide in unison. Need to be able to set these volume levels independently of each other. |
[2012-06-23] A Google User: Easy to set up. Reliable Never had any problems. Perfect app, DROID X |
[2012-06-22] A Google User: Simply useful It does Its job and puts a audio controls in one place, nuf said. |
[2012-06-17] A Google User: Notifications! Please separate the ringtone and notification sliders, so that they can work independently of one another. Pointless otherwise. |
[2012-06-10] A Google User: Profiles rule! Very useful to have all the volume controls in one place. Profiles can be used to silence notifications and keep ringer on full when going to bed. Stable on my galaxy s. |
[2012-06-03] A Google User: Great App I love this app been using it a while. if it would mute my camera, that would be a great feature. But I give 4 stars till then. |
[2012-05-23] A Google User: Very useful. |
[2012-05-22] A Google User: Not working after update. |
[2012-05-21] A Google User: Great app I love this app! |
[2012-05-21] A Google User: Use it all the time... Great app! |
[2012-05-20] A Google User: Good Does what it says it does |
[2012-05-20] A Google User: End Times - An unnecessary complication! Did someone have too much time on their hands or what? Recreating schedules with End Times is a pain in the butt! Volume Ace performed flawlessly utilizing start times alone. If this wasn't a purchased app I'd be uninstalling it. |
[2012-04-25] A Google User: Easy to flip sound profiles on my homescreen in a snap. Using the hardware buttons is frustrating sometimes. This saves time. |
[2012-04-20] A Google User: Good app, great tech support This is a very good app. Tech support is even better. Developer responded to me very quickly |
[2012-04-19] A Google User: How to create shortcut? How to create shortcut described in last update? Also still wishing for Profile button on widget to cycle through profiles like the silent/vibrate button does. |
[2012-04-18] A Google User: Problematic Works poorly for me on Sensation running ics. Will automatically switch profiles but doesn't switch the sounds correctly |
[2012-04-07] A Google User: Purchased after 2 minutes Disappointed with pro and free versions of audio manager (too slow, not enough functionality), installed the free version of this, purchased immediately. Tap to switch profiles, widget on my widget locker lock screen. Huge variety of visual and other customizations. |
[2012-03-27] A Google User: Excellent Developer I would give 5 stars just for the amazingly fast response and fixes. Schedules now work in ICS (4.0.4) and the volume lock works intermittently. Still a nice app and I'm sure the dev will fix the bugs for ICS. |
[2012-03-27] A Google User: It OK I like it |
[2012-03-27] A Google User: Overall a great app. Works great. A few times I thought it messed up till I realized it was user error. Great idea with the scheduler. Fairly easy to use. |
[2012-03-18] A Google User: Works almost as promised. I bought this app because it combined a volume control and a volume locker. The control works 90% of the time and the locker only worked for a day. I like the look and interface but I should have stuck with the free app. Sidekick 4g |
[2012-03-17] A Google User: VOLUME ACE SIMPLY THE BEST!!! "PIRATE - X " |
[2012-03-14] A Google User: Good app Performs as advertised, works very well |
[2012-03-12] A Google User: Profiles bug I don't understand what is the point of profiles if when you manually change a value and then click on a profile it doesn't go back to the saved settings, always show an asterisk. Very bad. |
[2012-03-04] A Google User: Deserves 5 Every app out there is buggy, but the developer of this app listens to your comments and updates app accordingly. This is the best app of its kind and best developer of all classes. Id pay 5x what I did for volume ace. 5 stars |
[2012-02-27] A Google User: Horrible. Can do much better |
[2012-02-27] A Google User: Works great scheduler very buggy now |
[2012-02-24] A Google User: AMAZING |
[2012-02-24] A Google User: Works Great for my phone 6 stars and an extra buck if you implement an optimized tablet size, too. |
[2012-02-18] A Google User: More bugs My phone htc chacha force close everytime i open this apps.......pls fix |
[2012-02-16] A Google User: Volume ace Good |
[2012-02-10] A Google User: Highly recommended This is a great volume-control app. It's intuitive, easy to use, and has a nice looking interface. The developers are extremely responsive. |
[2012-02-09] A Google User: The Best Love this and is very useful, tried many others and this one is the Best |
[2012-02-09] A Google User: Good Good app Not worth 5 stars. |
[2012-02-07] A Google User: Better than most others... Good functionality, responsive developer...has everything that can be expected from a volume profile app. More visually appealing widgets with transparent backgrounds and 1*1 profile only widget desired |
[2012-02-07] A Google User: Nice, but useless Not so great. Not that usefull. |
[2012-02-06] A Google User: Ics, ring locker broke Profile selection only works if selected from inside main screen. If you select profile by widget or scheduler with ring locker turned on it blocks itself! Needs ring locker fixed |
[2012-02-06] A Google User: Developer responds and helps Works great. Release had a few issues but reboot seemed to fix them. Developer responded to multiple emails with support. Keep up the good work. |
[2012-02-06] A Google User: Great Top marks for usability and features. Points off for porno visual design :-) |
[2012-02-05] A Google User: The best This is the best volume / profile manager that I've found. The simplicity of setting volumes and vibrate modes is great. The visual design of the program seems a bit dated, but the function is great .I upgraded quickly to gain the ability to set schedules that turn off volume at given days/ times, and it was well worth it. Galaxy Nexus ICS 4.02. |
[2012-02-04] A Google User: Great app for switching different volume profiles for different things at the touch of a button |
