Vellamo began as a mobile web benchmarking tool that today has expanded to include two primary chapters. The HTML5 Chapter evaluates mobile web browser performance and the Metal Chapter measures the CPU subsystem performance of mobile processors. Through click-and-go test suites, organized by chapter, Vellamo is designed to evaluate: scrolling and zooming, 3D graphics, video performance and memory read/write and peak bandwidth performance, and much more!

Really proves that the S4 is fast! Amazing app, I got a 2121 on the HTML 5 test and a 822 on the Metal test. All on the Samsung Galaxy S4 with a stock clock of 1.9 GHz.

awesome but It only lets me send them if I compare to other devices 1st which is annoying if you ran the long test which takes 30+ minutes and forgot to compare devices. Also, should let you run both metal and html5 at the same time every time- not just the first time you run the app and go to results screen when no tests have previously been performed.

Avoid! The "storage test" expands to the point of taking over all free space on my samsung galaxy s2, resulting in both the benchmark freezing AND the whole cellphone being inundated with "low storage" notifications until I uninstall vellamo.

One of the best. This app is one of the best benchmark apps currently available. However, no benchmark app is perfect nor is any operating system. Each excels in some area/s and not in others. One thing that could improve the comparison scores (testing all devices under similar conditions) would be to incorporate a system optimizer that would run just before any benchmark test. Having the app automatically adjust screen brightness to lowest setting (Auto) and disable unnecessary device functions may also help.
