= How to add Widgets to the Home screen =
Adding the Ubuntu Countdown Widget to your Android Home screen is easy! Just follow the instructions below:

1. On your Android Home screen press the MENU key and select "Add" or, alternatively, tap any blank/empty area and hold down your finger.
2. An "Add to Home screen" window will pop up. From that window, tap "Widgets".
3. Select one of the two "Ubuntu Countdown Widgets".

Works! Some people want hour and minute countdowns. But this is impossible as Canonical can release at any time within the last day. Last second delays are common. It's kind of like trying to arrive at a destination within 5 seconds with a car GPS. You just can't get that granular. Works as intended though!

There is room for improvement On the last day it should show the remaining hours, instead it only shows "coming soon".

Nexus 7 and Jelly Bean It does not work for me on the Nexus 7. I go to the widget menu and drag it to a desktop. I see it momentarily the time the settings page shows up. When I press Home to see the desktop, the widget is not there.

Worked, but... The widget functioned perfectly until the 12.04 release. Now there is no countdown for the next version. I mean, I understand that there's probably no set dsy of release yet, but obviously we know what month it'll be. An estamation would be nice or something to watch count down.

You have the date wrong. 12.04 is out on the 26 you have it on the 25.

Good but out by a little bit It is out by a day on the 12.04 release. Probably because I'm in NZST timezone and the dates they are using it Euro or US for the release date. Not a biggie ... have enjoyed watching it count down but that would be a nice fix to be accurate to the day.

Nice one Very good. U can even count down from a faaar faar day (have it on for a day in september) which doesnt work with most counters. Five stars!
