TracePing (v. 0.97.1) Разработано Inflim |
TracePing is a network diagnostic tool which combines the functionality of the 'traceroute' and 'ping' programs and is similar to MTR(MyTraceroute), WinMtr.
First, it finds the path between your device and any internet server and then starts to send periodical echo requests to each host on the way, gathering round trip time statistics.
TracePing is very useful to investigate network problems, to find out where exactly is the connection bottleneck or a failure.
Features:
• A list of recently used hosts.
• IP selection for multiple IP hosts
• Visual traceroute: IP geo location and map plotting (optional)
• Extended statistics panel with min/avg/max ping, jitter and StDev
• Works on both WiFi and 3G/GPRS connection.
• Internationalized domains (IDN) are supported
• Share report
• Pause/restart ping
• Switching between IP and hostnames
• Tuneable interval, timeout, packet size, ping count and hop limit parameters
• Experimental IPv6 support (Needs root, because ping6 executable has no SUID bit on Android 4.0)
Notes:
• Root is not necessary (except IPv6 hosts)
• Currently doesn't work on devices without 'ping' executable.
• 100% loss usually means that ICMP packets are blocked on this host or it is down.
Please send all questions and bug reports to support email below. Bug
WARNING: may not work on some devices and with busybox ping
IP geo location is provided by maxmind lite city db, accuracy is about 60%

[2013-10-08] A Google User: Wow really works Great app to get the map to load to to the map then click home and then do recent apps and click and it will reload the map:-) :-) |

[2013-07-24] A Google User: Does the job if you want an MTR clone Does what is says on the tin. The geo stuff though is hilariously bad and seems to be based on googling the name of the ISP (thus landing on a small village in Nottingham instead of their actual location near London). |

[2013-07-21] A Google User: Best of Breed Lots of choices, lots of apps tried. This one is easy to use, makes it simple to repeat a trace, and delivers a choice of views and big basket of info that exceeds my need. |

[2013-05-25] A Google User: Needs lots of work. Force closes every time map is selected. App hard restarted my Razr Maxx HD twice after crashing. |

[2013-05-24] A Google User: Nice application more detail on the export needed This application does what it says it does. The one problem I saw it had was you could pause the continuous traceroute/share and choose share but it would then resume the continuous traceroute/share after you were done sharing. A few feature requests would be: 1.) Add a scheduling option. So you can kick off the trace/ping at certain intervals/etc. 2.) Set the number of times pings are sent. This will allow the continuous traceroute/ping to stop after it received N number of responses from the last reachable node in the list. 3.) Lastly it would be great to be able to get the detailed output of the data that is used to summarize the continuous traceroute/ping display. |

[2013-04-15] A Google User: To many permissions... For a tracing ip app it certainly requires an absurd amount of permissions! |
