[2013-06-30] A Google User: Awesome |
[2013-06-29] A Google User: Does not work I used this in my s2 but that was half a year ago. I know this is working well but now on my note 2 I'd does not. I'm trying edit an existing code and the keyword is always highlighted though that's not my intention. I don't know. I'll give it a try again. |
[2013-06-25] A Google User: No problem with eula... but This has some insanely fatal flaws on a Droid 4. The text input is unusable, no matter what keyboard I use (even the physical). It's stuck on some sort of insert function, there's no syntax highlighting and the navigation in the text area is completely broken. I couldn't get beyond that. |
[2013-06-23] A Google User: Lots of potential But very frustrating to use. Overrides the arrow keys, tiny icons, doesn't handle different character encodings well |
[2013-06-18] A Google User: just great for learning to program on ur tab Would have given 5 star if ui had been as great as well. |
[2013-05-16] A Google User: Good app |
[2013-04-24] A Google User: thanks a lot Thanks a lot for this beauty. I can now run java on my S2. I used Terminal IDE but cant run the java code. i cant find it. but this app is superb. Thanks again. |
[2013-04-09] A Google User: Crashed Everytime I never could remote edit a file. It crashed every time I tried to do anything. |
[2013-03-20] A Google User: BEWARE The terms and conditions will make you laugh. They say that anything you create with this app belongs to them. Even comments or feedback you make they own as well. Well own this - YOU SUCK! |
[2013-03-20] A Google User: Just shoot UX in the head and ignore human users Wow,wow. This app is so confusing and defunct. Who I gave this 4 stars. The ftp connect never told me why it didn't connect. The ftp saved profile always disappeared so I had to retype. Never managed to connect. Navigation in general is lousy at best and the form clears itself when it changes from portrait to landscape. Makes sense that its free. |
[2013-03-09] A Google User: ... Wtf? |
[2013-02-04] A Google User: Worse than poor Every time I try to edit anything it crashes. I can't do any work on this. Uninstalling now. |
[2013-01-28] A Google User: could be better unable to use my keyboard the TF201!! |
[2012-12-25] A Google User: Unusable Cursor navigation either doesn't work or is very unintuitive. Tab key doesn't work either! ... not even in the built-in keyboard! Terrible application. |
[2012-11-15] A Google User: Good Could not find setting for line numbers. |
[2012-11-08] A Google User: Doesn't rotate. |
[2012-11-07] A Google User: Galaxy Tab 10.1 The ftp connection is quite unreliable... but the most unfriendly part about the app is simply moving around the script. Does not feel as nice as some simple notepads. The app seems to autoselect whole words. Can be quite annoying when editing... the color coding is fairly ok... otherwise its extremely time consuming to use... |
[2012-11-06] A Google User: good |
[2012-10-22] A Google User: Crazy license!! Who would patent an android market comment, nobody. If you use this app the developers can steal your intellectual property and resell or use your code. |
[2012-10-17] A Google User: all I need |
[2012-10-08] A Google User: Worst thing ever It doesn't compile well so it gives me errors. Uninstalled. |
[2012-09-12] A Google User: Beyond terrible. Typing in this app is almost impossible. I tried to add one sentence to a HTML file and after ten minutes of waiting for the text to scroll across the screen slowly and correcting missed key presses I immediately uninstalled it. Terrible |
[2012-08-12] A Google User: Promising but buggy It could have been a option, but it freezes on editing a remote file accessed via sftp on my galaxy ace. Uninstalling. |
[2012-08-03] A Google User: Nexus 7 I used to use the program fine but for whatever reason things I type stay highlighted and upon hitting space the word is erased. Running Google nexus 7 and android 4.1.1. I'll keep and update and re-review when the bug is fixed. |
[2012-07-31] A Google User: I'm sorry But can it run code |
[2012-07-31] A Google User: Decent for free Only issue I had was it did not tell me I had to name the extension so it would not save the first few times |
[2012-07-30] A Google User: Good concept, buggy implementation I got this app for my new Nexus 7. It crashed at least once as well as randomly deleting what I just typed into the text area. It would also act like I was in overwrite mode as well. This would be a good piece of software if it did not have a lot of bugs (at least for the N7). 2 stars for the Concept, 1 for everything else. |
[2012-07-26] A Google User: Wow! Love it! |
[2012-07-19] A Google User: Horrible eula section 13 is a joke. Just dont use this . They think they are sneaky. Attempting to obsorb any products you mention to them in feed back. Giving them full lifetime access. Removed... |
[2012-07-14] A Google User: Great Like it and use it every day! |
[2012-07-02] A Google User: Is this a scam? Read items 13 and 14 of the EULA and be scared. Very scared. |
[2012-05-31] A Google User: Missing Features I would like there to be a replace functionality, that would improve my mobile awesomeness :D Otherwise this app is kinda dead to me... |
[2012-05-11] A Google User: plz support JPNese language I really like it but I can't see my J apanese comment in my code. So plz support Japanese language. |
[2012-05-08] A Google User: Lazy Why is my code being uploaded to a 3rd party website for compilation? Why can't it run my code on my device? In the end though it's rather laughable because your own Java Hello World program wouldn't run on the website. Not worth keeping around, despite it being the only app I can find that supposedly does non-Android Java development. |
[2012-04-26] A Google User: Very good app This app is great for coding just about anything. The run in browser feature is quite nifty. It does say "touchqode crashed" on startup, even though it has not crashed ay all. |
[2012-04-25] A Google User: Nearly worthless Custom keyboard provides no access to many basic symbols. Syntax highlighting nearly non-existent for C/C++. Very slow UI response even on ASUS Transformer Prime in performance mode. |
[2012-04-17] A Google User: PROGRAMMERS ARE NOT LAWYERS The EULA does not say that they own the resulting code that you create with the product. It merely says that they own any comments or feedback that is sent to them that is in reference to touchqode. The EULA shows that these folks are being transparent which a good thing. Don't let the asine comments dissuade you from using the app because the app is quite good. |
[2012-04-03] A Google User: Invasive Your data passwords credit card etc CAN be sent to the guys behind this so beware |
[2012-03-28] A Google User: Keep it up Want to do all my development ON my tablet |
[2012-03-19] A Google User: Just enough to get the job done on the go. Opensource, fully functionable and did i say free? Thanks |
[2012-02-29] A Google User: Superb I feel happy if i can compile and run a java program in my mobile. |
[2012-02-19] A Google User: Xyboard :-( The text selection its broken, at lest on xyboard honeycomb, such that the while app is useless. Nice compile capabilities for students. I decided to go with Terminal IDE and Droid edit. |
[2012-02-17] A Google User: Excellent doing php html & css Awesome room for improvement, no claims that don't prove true. |
[2012-02-13] A Google User: Like keyboad but an addition of different layouts like AZERTY, COLEMAN, DVORAK would be useful. Having a keyboard that changed/mixed letters randomly will also be helpful |
[2012-02-05] A Google User: Normal Need more functions. Android web editor is better |
[2012-02-03] A Google User: perfect this is the best mobile web editor I've found. I can update websites while walking to my car. |
[2012-02-01] A Google User: Very unfriendly UI Does not feel like a code editor that you would find on PC. It doesn't even feel as nice to move around your document in as Windows Notepad or KDE Kwrite. |
[2012-01-31] A Google User: Good but needs improvement Difficult to access symbols page. Also the android text navigation is not available. (The small tab that can be used to move between letters |
[2012-01-30] A Google User: Pretty Good, could use some ICS love I got a Transformer Prime and it looks and works great on it, just wish for some ICS options and if possible a way to disable the spellcheck with the asus keyboard with this app. So far so good. |
[2012-01-28] A Google User: #13 of EULA Says that they effectively own anything that you suggest to them. Such as comments on their product. Work that you create remains your own! |
[2012-01-27] A Google User: Thieves! They steal your work! Read#13 of EULA. They own anything you create. And the dev says he changed the terms. You have been warned! |
[2012-01-26] A Google User: draconic license !! be aware !! uninstalled. |
[2012-01-20] A Google User: Good editor, but... Should make clear that alternate keyboard replaces android keyboard outside of the editor as well as in the editor. Also, the keyboard remains on the screen when the home key is pressed (a bug?). |
[2012-01-07] A Google User: It doesn't work on Android 2.3.7 Optimus V |
[2011-12-14] A Google User: strings arent colored |
[2011-12-07] A Google User: They did NOT fix the license issue! They still expect you to give up the rights to YOUR code! Why would anyone who read this agree to it? |
[2011-11-30] A Google User: Poor CHANGE YOUR TERMS. UNINSTALL! |
[2011-11-29] A Google User: No way Your license is really overboard ..no way im to agree to that crap |
[2011-11-26] A Google User: Best coder's tool This is THE best coders tool on Android for html, css, and python (Django). Remote file editing is a godsend! |
[2011-11-20] A Google User: The text won't scroll down far enough to see over the keyboard, and the keyboard has no # key. Fix these and I'll give it 5★. |
[2011-11-17] A Google User: Not giving you my ip |
[2011-11-15] A Google User: TextWarrior + Hacker's Keyboard. None of these creators claim all rights to your work for using their software. |
[2011-11-09] A Google User: Blind blanket agreement to 3rd party licences I would like to try this app and have no qualms about terms on feedback but can't commit to agree to licences, t&cs sight unseen. |
[2011-11-02] A Google User: License is ridiculous I read through the license and it basically says they own everything you create with this app. |
[2011-10-29] A Google User: Insane licensing agreement Apparently everything you do with, and feedback on, with this app belongs to the author.... Sorry mates, not in my country! App is appalling. Unattend |
[2011-10-28] A Google User: Customer service fail LOOK OUT THESE GUYS ARE LITIGIOUS AND REQUORE CLAIMS BE FILED IN A BACKWARD, REMOTE COUNTRY |
[2011-10-26] A Google User: Eula The EULA is quite possibly the most ridiculous and usury piece of legal fantasy I have ever seen. Now that they own the rights to this feedback, I hope they choke on it. |
[2011-10-20] A Google User: Love it Great app for times without computer |
[2011-10-02] A Google User: Best android app evaaar! |
[2011-09-30] A Google User: Lower rating I wish i could give lower rating this is a horrible app doesnt work |
[2011-09-25] A Google User: awsome in combination with 'hackers keyboard' |
[2011-09-22] A Google User: Great editor with many features. Great for quick code fixes, but not large projects. Included keyboard is handy, but it would like to customize it. |
[2011-09-11] A Google User: отличия от про версии? А в чем отличия в про версии? |
[2011-09-05] A Google User: Works well for simple projects. Probably not good for large or complex projects, but that's more an issue with the platform than anything. |
[2011-08-28] A Google User: Simple; Good line numbers Simple interface; Counts long lines as 1 line; Nice goto line; Unfortunately no line number display |
[2011-08-27] A Google User: Meh. It's ok, but today when I actually tried to use it, the darn thing wouldn't navigate my ftp folders. It was very frustrating. |
[2011-08-19] A Google User: Best application for developers |
[2011-08-19] P: Best application for developers |
[2011-08-16] A Google User: Wish it did public key authentication My sftp server uses publicly key authentication instead of password so I can't really use the remote file access. |
[2011-08-13] A Google User: useless can edit files on xoom micro sd card but can't preview can't close a file after opening can't remove a file off internal storage probably bunch more stuff wrong with it but got sick of problems and limitations so unistalled only reason giving star is because being forced to |

[2011-08-11] A Google User: While this is a good text editor with syntax highlighting, the license agreement is very shady. |
[2011-08-11] William: While this is a good text editor with syntax highlighting, the license agreement is very shady. |

[2011-08-01] A Google User: The license is catastrophe giving the company full right to anything you own (even patents) if it relates to any feedback you give them. Uninstalled!! |

[2011-07-26] A Google User: Excellent, just needs one thing; dropbox support. Don't worry touchqode guys, you can have all rights to that comment/suggestion, as per the EULA. :-) |

[2011-07-25] A Google User: EULA is unacceptable. It is just a text editor with syntax highlighting. Not a very good one at that. |
[2011-07-25] dieselpower: EULA is unacceptable. It is just a text editor with syntax highlighting. Not a very good one at that. |
[2011-07-23] A Google User: Ok...ish Seems acceptable, mostly on the account of missing contenders. Has the standard corporate asshole license, much like any Microsoft or Apple product. The real dealbreaker is that the hardware tab button on Asus Eee Transformer doesn't work as expected. |

[2011-07-21] A Google User: Nice Nice job, don't think I'll ever actually code on my phone though. Should be good for an Android tablet though. |
[2011-07-21] A Google User: EULA is absolutely asinine. |
