This is THE notepad for a minimalist, works well with office suites, is customizable, quick, reliable, and never loses data. So I have some issues... This USED to be the best app in it's class, but now its sucking. Sometimes When I open it up all my files show up blacked out if that makes any sense. Un- installing until it's fixed. Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.1.2

Finally Finally a simple to use text editor. And yes it is very customizable. Use menu button more and then options. Great.

Best basic text editor out there! It does exactly what it says. The only criticism I have is that it saves files witout any extension by default rather adding .txt to the file name automatically. Otherwise, it's perfect! 5 stars!

LOVE this! Great notetaker Similar to TextEdit and WriteRoom for the Mac. With a bluetooth keyboard, I navigate and edit text with the option and arrow keys. Sweet: changing the background color and swapping the serif for the sans font.

Closest thing to Notepad Does exactly what I need easily and effortlessly; opens .txt files and edits them. The only complaint I have is that the navigation becomes impossible with a black background, because the menu text is always black and you can't change it.

Good text editor Uses standard txt files instead of proprietary format. Cut & paste text is buggy, inserts an initial extra space. I prefer Jota.

very good but lacks support for some files This app works fairly well but it doesn't have support to edit .htaccess files even though those kinds of files tend to be very small in filesize. For those who are looking to edit .htaccess files check out Jota Text Editor as it works well with those.
