TetherGPS Lite (v. 1.2.2) Разработано Compton Software |
Now supports Android 4.0 and beyond.
TetherGPS Lite allows you to share the GPS on one WiFi enabled Android device with another WiFi enabled Android Device.
TetherGPS can be launched by using the included 1x1 widgets, through intent broadcasts from other apps, or by using the launch buttons in the TetherGPS configuration app.
Example use - Connect your Nook Color and your HTC Evo to the same network, or tether the Nook Color to the HTC Evo with android-wifi-tether. Run TGPS Server on the HTC Evo and TGPS Client on the Nook color. The Nook Color will receive GPS data from the HTC Evo. Applications on the Nook Color such as Google Maps and Google Navigation will then work using the shared GPS data.
-Mock locations on the client device must be enabled. Settings>Applications>Development>Allow mock locations.
-GPS location must be enabled on both devices.
-Use the TGPS Client and TGPS Server widgets to enable the services.
TetherGPS Lite includes the full client and a lite version of the server which will run for 5 minutes at a time. After the time limit is hit the server can simply be restarted via the widget.
If the widgets are not showing up in your widget list, check to make sure the application is installed on the device and not on the SD card.
If your device does not include a way to enable GPS navigation, download one of the freely available GPS toggle widgets from the Android Market.
TetherGPS uses the following intent listeners for activation by Tasker and other apps:
com.comptonsoft.TGPS.START_SERVER
com.comptonsoft.TGPS.STOP_SERVER
com.comptonsoft.TGPS.START_CLIENT
com.comptonsoft.TGPS.STOP_CLIENT
If TetherGPS does not show up in the market on your Nook or other tablet device, you can download the lite version with a fully featured client from our website, http://www.comptonsoft.com

[2013-05-01] A Google User: Mock locations... Can mock locations be overriden by moving it to /system/app folder? If so, I'll buy the complete version. |

[2012-12-23] A Google User: Where are the directions? No directions, can't make it work. Must be first geeks |
|
[2012-10-14] A Google User: shame the developer never answers his emails does work if enter ip for broadcast of the destination device. look up the ip in wifi connects tap connections tested with tablet to phone with gps using copilot live maps however i liek to be able to connect windows to it using a freeware tool called gpsgate but I dont know from the info here what port its sending the data on just ashame dev never answers his emails |
|
[2012-09-02] A Google User: Force close No matter how hard you try it fc every time on ice device. |
|
[2012-08-22] A Google User: Perfect match Galaxy S and G-Tablet - perfect for sharing GPS with G-Tablet. Only quirk on Android 4 is that it won't find proper Broadcast Address for server side - need to enter G-Tab's IP address in manually to get it to work. Works fine using gingerbread phone as server though. |
|
[2012-06-10] A Google User: Works as intended |

[2012-05-31] A Google User: Does not work as server on Galaxy Nexus |

|
[2012-04-29] A Google User: Galaxy S2+ ics= crash Not working |
|
[2012-04-15] A Google User: Great tool!!! For those having FC problems on ICS based OS. For some reason the app fails to retrieve the IP adress leading to crash. A nice workaround is manually entering the "client" IP address on the "server" "broadcast IP" (switch off "automatic broadcast IP). You can see the "client" IP by entering to you tablet WIFI settings and tapping on the actual connection (the tethered one). I would give this app 5 stars, but I sent the developer an email regarding this issue and he never answered. Too bad! |
|
[2012-04-08] A Google User: FC on galaxy nexus Does not work as sever on galaxy nexus. |
|
[2012-03-26] A Google User: Nook Color CM7 w FoxFi: No Worky While the networked version seems to work (too short of server time to troubleshoot), while tethered to tablet from a Droid 2, it does not work. The Droid server starts with foxfi running and the client is running on tablet but they do not connect before time runs out. Nice idea though. |

[2012-03-22] A Google User: Doesn't work on Galaxy Nexus 4.0.3 Starting server on GNex produces error: "Unfortunately, TetherGPS Lite has stopped". |
|

|
[2012-01-17] A Google User: Very good. Needs documentation Works well between HTC desire and Kindle with CM7. Took me a while to work out how to use it and I'm a developer! Think it must be very tough for "ordinary" users. Main issue was the need to switch my phone over to wifi hotspot mode. (I know it should have been obvious!) |
|
[2012-01-03] A Google User: Forcecloses on Asus Prime |

[2012-01-03] A Google User: Brilliant Tried loads from market but this is only one that works on my HTC desire hd with hannspree haanspad 10 inch tablet. Just off to buy full version |

[2011-04-15] A Google User: Works surprisingly well! The App gets 5 stars, BUT improve the setup directions. It made sense to me after I downloaded the app, but I'd like to see a "step by step" procedure in the Market description... just a thought -> Overall, this is Great app that works shockingly well with Google maps on my NC |
