SystemPanel App / Task Manager (v. 1.2.0) Разработано NextApp, Inc. |
SystemPanel integrates a task manager, app manager (installer/uninstaller with multi-version APK archival), and system monitor.
Solve your battery life problem by enabling the background monitoring service to record long-term CPU usage by individual apps.
SystemPanel includes the following features:
Task Manager: The task manager shows what applications are currently loaded into memory and/or running on a device, including current CPU and memory utilization for each. The task manager provides the ability to kill offending applications, and includes an emergency "end all" widget to handle extreme scenarios.
System Monitor: The system monitor can be enabled to record device usage history over a period of time (up to one week), such that you can determine what applications and usage patterns have the greatest impact on battery life. This feature is commonly used to help track down which applications are having major negative effects on battery life. The system monitor records CPU usage for each process, overall CPU usage, display usage, battery level, and battery charging status.
Installer: The installer enables you to install and uninstall applications quickly and conveniently. It can archive multiple versions of applications, such that you can backup your apps before an update and revert back to older versions afterward. This is useful in the not uncommon event the updated item is buggy or otherwise undesirable. Additionally, the Installer is designed to work much more efficiently than the standard Android application manager, and does not suffer the frustrating lag issues found in the default Android item when browsing through a large number of installed apps.
Device Information: The device information screens show detailed information about your Android device, including storage, capabilities, network state, and OS build information.
-- Frequently Asked Questions --
Why does it require the ______ permission?
- SystemPanel does require a fair number of permissions in order to be able to perform all of its duties. This product DOES NOT send ANY information from your device over the Internet to ANYONE. It requires the "Internet access" and "telephony/read phone state" permissions only to monitor and display the device's network connectivity state. A full description of why each permission is required can be found in the SystemPanel FAQ on our web site.
Does SystemPanel consume battery?
- The only component of SystemPanel which runs in the background is the "System Monitor" feature. This feature must be enabled by the user (by default, SystemPanel runs nothing in the background). When enabled, the System Monitor feature will record data about which applications are consuming the battery every 15 minutes. All told, this feature will use approximately one minute of CPU / battery time per day of operation. When this feature is not enabled, SystemPanel will not run in the background in any capacity.
Does SystemPanel automatically kill tasks in the background?
- No, SystemPanel is not an automatic task killer. It has been well-established (by the Android documentation and direct communication with the Android engineers) that randomly or periodically terminating arbitrary tasks in the interest of saving memory will NOT yield a benefit in performance or battery life. The only benefit you will see from an automatic task killer is if it happens to terminate misbehaving apps. SystemPanel provides a better solution to this problem by showing you which apps are consuming CPU in the background (over time) with the "System Monitor" feature. It is then recommended that such applications be reconfigured or uninstalled (or perhaps corrected by filing a bug with the offending application's author).

[2013-06-29] A Google User: 6-29-13 Great APP! BulletRC@gmail.com PRICELESS! Tech @ Sprint had to so a master reset in my phone today. Well, my first thought was, "oh no", that will cause me to loose my downloaded apps. This app here amazed me when I downloaded it, because all of my apps were still in archives. With them being in archives, it was a great time saver being able to download my favorite & valuable apps. LOVE THIS APP! Motorola Admiral XT603 Android 2.3.5 |
[2013-06-28] A Google User: Ruined my battery I liked this program a lot but I didn't realize why my battery was going dead so quickly! Until I change my phone to galaxy s4 I had a galaxy s2 before. My battery was great until installed this app again my phone is brand new and it has a brand new battery. A couple of hours after installing this application my battery is dead! That sounds strange but it's true it messed up my battery! Maybe calibrating fixing it, I'll try... |
[2013-06-26] A Google User: Must have app for any android smartphone. Could do with a holo remake of the ui, but other than that, no complaints. Best way to know what's going on with device and/or find an out of control app. This, Astro File Manager, and Titanium Backup are pretty much necessities as far as I am concerned. |
[2013-06-23] A Google User: Great App This app gives you every bit of information you need about your device. Monitoring and task manager works like a charm. Simply put; the best I have ever tried. Tested on 4 different devices without any problems. |

[2013-06-07] A Google User: Cool app Helps keep an eye on the system. |
[2013-06-06] A Google User: Is quickly showing its age Used to be an amazing app, but it still feels like it did three years ago when I first installed it. Worse, it has somehow managed to feel more laggy despite much faster phones (HTC One). This app needs a UI overhaul. |
[2013-06-05] A Google User: Valuable Quality app |
[2013-06-04] A Google User: Hidden Jewel - A true app archiver & installer First thing I do after I d/load apps is use installer feature to archive them. This is great for app updates-get a bad update-uninstall & reinstall prior archived version. Read the reviews, people crying updated gmail e.g. sucks, can't revert. Not any more now archive unltd versions of apps. Even keep archived ver. after uninstalling apps. THIS SAVED ME $ AFTER APP WENT FROM FREE TO PAID - I REINSTALLED ARCHIVE VERSION OF FREE APP & DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY! well with the $2.99 for this app recommend highly. |
[2013-06-02] A Google User: Incredible!!!! This app is worth every effing penny!!!! Its amazing!! |
[2013-06-01] A Google User: Useless It doesn't worth the money I paid on it. It even doesn't log or track daemon apps running in backgroud. |
[2013-05-25] A Google User: default exclusions? SystemPanel must be excluding 'Go Launcher EX' by default, because I've never seen it as a running process, and it runs 24/7. If SystemPanel excludes launchers by default, how can I trust SystemPanel with information I thought was conclusive? This makes me wonder what else SystemPanel might be hiding from my list of running processes :/ |
[2013-05-22] A Google User: System panel montering This app is great for those of us just starting with a new android phone. I know exactly whats running and whats draining my system. |
[2013-05-20] A Google User: Could be better... I like it, but It would be better if you include more intervals in the Graph section instead of jumping from 8 hours to 1 day to 3 days..why not include smaller intervals like 12 hrs,18 hrs,2days, etc.? I also wish you could expand the Network section when you go into the Monitor and see your Network Graph separated by Cell & WiFi usage & expand/graph battery & RAM usage? In, addition, since the program is already keeping a track of data, why not add in a way to keep track of your monthly usage? |
[2013-05-16] A Google User: Great |
[2013-05-13] A Google User: Excellent Many features. Works well 5* |
[2013-05-08] A Google User: Muy mala app No funciona para mi gusto, no hace un kill real de las app, ademas tiene costo. Quiero mi dinero de vuelta. |
[2013-05-03] A Google User: Great, but it needs to be updated. The app works great, but it is in need of a UI update to match Android 4+'s fluidity, and new images for modern mega-resolution screens. I have FX explorer, and its interface has already been modernized. |
[2013-05-01] A Google User: Amazing and useful metrics and tools |
[2013-04-30] A Google User: Awesome App!! Only one I use.. And I've tried them all.. seriously. Awesome job dev!! |
[2013-04-28] A Google User: Outstanding A go-to app for every new phone I get. Great information, minimal battery use. |
[2013-04-18] A Google User: Very useful app. Does what it says it does. Havent seen crash nor do resource hogging ever. Useful, light and fast. Let alone the installer feature, the which i find most useful. |
[2013-04-12] A Google User: Sucks. Fancy app, but basic functionality like sorting does not exist. Neither for cpu, nor for memory. |
[2013-04-09] A Google User: Awesome app It will be good if memory usage history is captured like that of CPU & Battery. Otherwise it is an awesome app. |
[2013-04-07] A Google User: Makes me phone laggy I don't know what it is but whenever I make the monitoring enabled, it turns my phone into a worthless piece of crap. I've wondered in the past why my phone was so laggy and then I figured out that it was this app. It seems like this is an isolated issue but kind of disappointing to me since it seems like a great app when it works. NOTE: I got the app to function properly. For some reason or another, once I reinstalled the app, it has worked flawlessly. |
[2013-04-06] A Google User: Needs an update! I've had this app for ages and it does come in handy but it needs a serious UI update. Nothing has really changed for a long, long time. FX seems to be getting a lot of love but this has been abandoned basically. |
[2013-04-05] A Google User: Awesome Definitely worth every penny. While I don't use the task killer, the information provided by this app is essential in telling me if I have any battery hungry apps running. Sweet! |
[2013-04-05] A Google User: Poor Support The developer doesn't reply to emails and don't have courtesy to at least acknowledge it's receipt. I resend the email twice but still no response. |
[2013-04-04] A Google User: Written w/o BS, Works, Worth $ Tried other apps described with what turns out to be widespread bogus information about managing Android devices. This one does it right - no magic bullet and no free lunch. = MUCHO KUDOS = |
[2013-04-01] A Google User: Excellent Does what is says and does it well |
[2013-03-27] A Google User: Bad attitude from developer The developer refuses to respond to reports of problems. Also has displayed a negative attitude. I like the app, but bugs need to be fixed!! |
[2013-03-17] A Google User: Need tablet support for this app Very good..but we need tablet support for this app |
[2013-03-06] A Google User: Great A++++ |
[2013-03-03] A Google User: Don't waste the money. Doesn't do anything that can't be done with free advanced task killer. 1 Tap Cleaner free does what I thought this would. |
[2013-02-21] A Google User: Excellent |
[2013-02-13] A Google User: Nice Does what it says! |
[2013-02-05] A Google User: Overall, good app. I'be had it for almost 2 years now, and it works great. I did, however, notice a major battery drain. I know it says monitoring does cause drain, but I vener thought it caused as much as it did. I got a new phone and the battery lasted 9 days. I forgot to enable monitoring, so I did, and the battery lasted just 2. |
[2013-02-04] A Google User: Had since my 2010 DROID X Now on my SGN2 and still the must have resource monitor. The historical data is invaluable. |
[2013-02-03] A Google User: This App is Optimal All around great task manager for Android. I'm running this app on a Samsung Captivate, Galaxy Tab 2 and now Galaxy Note II. This app is stable and uses very little resources, great for isolating power consuming apps and tracking platform performance tweaks for optimal power savings. |
[2013-02-01] A Google User: Theme Would be grate if user could switch beetwen themes eg. original and holo |
[2013-01-31] A Google User: Does it well Bought this app three phones ago and still using it. Straight forward, attractive UI. Never have had an issue. |
[2013-01-31] A Google User: 100% awesome Best manager on the market. |
[2013-01-27] A Google User: Excellent. This app is absolutely perfect for tracking down battery usage. It's come in handy more than a few times finding misbehaving apps. Bought it a while ago, never regretted it. |
[2013-01-27] A Google User: Superb! I run this permanently, helped me recently to isolate data and processor hog. Also great for App backup and restore of old app versions. |
[2013-01-26] A Google User: Nice but does not save to external sd card App does not have an option to save to external card. Most apps have this basic feature. |
[2013-01-26] A Google User: One of my first apps for android in 2010 One of the best and non invasive performance. |
[2013-01-25] A Google User: Solid app This had been one of my base apps that I always have installed... great for identifying battery wasters, checking active download speeds, etc... |
[2013-01-25] A Google User: Simply great |
[2013-01-25] A Google User: Gooooood.... ....Real goooooood |
[2013-01-25] A Google User: Good |
[2013-01-25] A Google User: Awesome Great update. Love the multi Window. |
[2013-01-21] A Google User: Worth having. Ever since using Android, then and now I ended up feeling my phone lagging in response at times, battery life being short at times, all the mess everyone possibly knows. Usually I came back to using some task manager app, trying to make my system faster following an approach rather rude: While not knowing _what_ slows things down, simply kill most of the running tasks and hope things will get better because of that. Needless to say this doesn't get you very far. Using System Panel, it didn't take me long to figure out a few culprit apps (which actually have been misconfigured to periodically wake up and scan my SD card for changes ...). Following the "perodically stop all tasks" approach, I would have never found out. Just this experience was worth buying this app. |
[2013-01-20] A Google User: Better learn.. If you can't figure out what everything this monitor does, that's fine...but you had better learn before you rate this app any less than 5 stars. Because this monitor is on the money & worth it to. |
[2013-01-15] A Google User: Samsung galaxy note2 Good app.but cheap widgets. |
[2013-01-14] A Google User: Widget..... Very good apps to observe which apps are taking all the ram but the widgets...o my...terrible... could be better... |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: Nice Great. |
[2013-01-07] A Google User: Excelent! Especially the history i like |
[2013-01-05] A Google User: Amazing! I bought a Motorola Droid Razr HD in early December and after a month of use and installing apps it was starting to become painfully slow. The screen was freezing, apps took forever to load, and the phone was just plain unresponsive. I am not a super tech head so I didn't want to spend a ton of time over analyzing all of my memory, cpu usage, or any of that stuff. I just want my phone to be fast and responsive. I am not sure what this app does behind the scenes, but all I did was just install it and now my phone is just as fast as the day I took it out of the box. I didn't have to do any crazy usage analysis or set up any insane auto kill rules. I guess just having the system monitor running speeds things up and keeps things in check. Anyway, I love the app and well worth the $3 bucks! |
[2013-01-04] A Google User: Has been A good app but needs updating to 4.1+ and newer multi-core devices. Nexus 4 shows some wonky results. |
[2013-01-03] A Google User: lovely Like the same dev's File Explorer, this is an attractively presented and polished app. It's where I go to investigate what's going on behind the scenes. Be sure to read the excellent helpfile and heed the advice about task-killing. To those complaining about lack of multicore support: have you not looked on the Monitor screen? |

[2012-10-06] A Google User: Invaluable app backup Why should you pay got the full version? Because app makers insist on screwing up their apps with updates. Go to Netflix, and read the wailing. Not me. I get a bad update, and I just roll back to the previous version. WELL worth the small price. |
[2012-10-04] A Google User: Gives an in-depth view of what is going on! Great app and consumes hardly any resources when set to monitor. Nice GUI and just a very inquisitive application to poke around to see what your software and hardware are doing. |
