This tool will allow you to set values to increase performance and help save battery life. You can enable sysctl, set min free kbytes, dirty ratio, dirty background ratio, vfs cache pressure and oom allocating task.

This is more for advanced users who want the most out of their device. Rom developers, feel free to include it in your roms if you like ;)

All settings caused increased battery drain I have used various settings over the past few weeks from XDA dev forums, and from one end to the other, I'm seeing an increase in responsiveness, but also an INSANE increase in battery usage. Without Sysctl installed - stock settings - My battery would be about 70% after 5 hours. With SysCTL, every setting I tried was left in place for 2-3 days, my battery life decreased to about 60-50% in that same 5 hour time period. Also, I got continuous prompts for SysCTL granted superuser permission.
