Simple. Effective. Takes right to setting/background data to enable or disable. Only thing better would be a stand-alone toggle widget for background data, which I have yet to find without other unnecessary bells and whistles.

Still neat but... Ugh...I didn't know I had something like this all along in my phone, buried in the sea of icons (so I'm uninstalling): in xperia mini pro, long press the home screen > applications > sync, that's near the bottom. But if you don't have this in your fone, it's still neat :-)
