STL File Viewer (free) (v. 1.41) Разработано Architecture3D |
If you are already up to speed with STL files (used for rapid prototyping and 3D printing) try out this free Android app which lets you view, rotate and check your STL files.
If you run an RP bureau or 3D scanning, or manufacture RP hardware, and you would like to see my point cloud and STL file viewer branded as your app, for your clients to use and for you to distribute, please let me know.
Email me at bt@architecture3d.co.uk and I will be happy to talk through the options.
Features
* Built in file browser
* View Binary and ASCII STL files, with smooth pan, rotate and zoom (drag and pinch)
* Works in portrait or landscape mode
* Show the facets, vertices, XYZ axes and a bounding box or any combination
* Select model colour
* Save a screenshot of your model to a PNG file
* View model stats (file name, type, size, number of facets, volume, loading time in milliseconds)
* User settings automatically saved
* Remembers last folder viewed and returns there on startup
* Invert normals.
This version of the app is now frozen, but the Pro version is now free! All future enhancements will appear only in the Pro version, which does everything this one does but reads point clouds too and converts ASCII files to binary.

[2012-03-27] DX: Work good on lg p970 But opening files only from directory. Not like "Open with"... sad Viewing & rotating models good. |
|
[2012-03-08] David: Works great! It works great. Other than not associating with .stl files in email or a file explorer, it does everything I need. Actually, it's the only one that centers the part so I don't have to go hunting it down in space. The screen shot funciton is a nice feature as well. |
|
[2012-01-11] Walter: Awesome! Works excellently. 2 finger pan and pinch zoom. Able rotate too. Force close on LARGE stl files. |
|
[2011-10-14] JDLynch: Common features missing It does not associate with the .STL extension, which keeps you from opening email attachments. |
|
[2011-10-08] wyc: Does what it should Good job. If you want ro improve on something, work on the UI... Make it look better, make it work with fewer clicks. |
|
[2011-09-13] Nicholas: Works great needs update As another person mentioned here, the program is great. However one crucial aspect that is needed is the ability to pan the camera view left, right, up, and down. So far it works great spinning the model around in 3D space and zooming. But it only zooms in on the center of the model. I cant move the model other than spinning it. |
|
[2011-09-03] Scott Leslie: Good, fast Could remember where I last picked files from. |
|
[2011-08-16] Keith: The fastest very responsive to problems. All of mine have been sorted out. Just needs an option to move as well as rotate so you can angle and zoom in to get the best view. good as a 3D file viewer. looking forward to ongoing development. |
|
[2011-08-13] scooter: I can't wait until this gets better and I can send files to print to my dimension 3D printer from my phone! I use this to show off my .stl models now. |
