Status Brightness allows you to quickly and easily change the screen brightness of the system no matter what application you are currently in.  You no longer need to exit to the home screen to access an application to set the brightness.  You simply click on the icon in the status bar notification area and select the new screen brightness.  After making a selection you are returned right to where you were previously working.

You also have the ability to disable the screen timeout and dimming feature of Android.

*** This tool is designed to make life easier for people so please contact me with any feedback or problems.  I will be happy to work with everyone.  I developed this for my Acer Iconia so if there are problems on other devices please send me an email and let me know.

So simple, so great Just bought the donation-version, this app is perfect. The screen-dim&lock disable feature is very handy at times and quick/easy access to brightness settings are a godsend.

Perfect for me (S2 with ICS) Does exactly what I need, even more. The setting options give interesting controls. This should be justo standard feature in Android. And what I like a lot it is not intrusive... just min permissions required to do the job...

Masterfully crafted ! I especially also needed what you find in this tool's Settings under "Adjust internal brightness level : internally add a fixed amount to each brightness level", for without an additional 5% there, my screen would go all black when choosing 0% on the main "Status Brightness" screen. (With some competing toolies this has been a major and horrible problem on ZTE Skate !)

Great This app was a great replacement for a functionality that should have been included in the system by default. Well the functionality got included on my phone with the latest system upgrade so this app is not longer required.

Black font would look better in screenshots Dialog in steps of 10% is great. :) Can you stop it from hiding the notification bar? - Now using Lux.

Great little brightness solution Easy to get to, right from the notification bar (actually useful icon, shows current brightness). New optional notification icons work well on Galaxy Nexus's shrunken notif area.

Great app. I love having the ability to see the brightness percentage in the status bar. Really helps save battery when the brightness is lowered.

Nice complement to native control V1.2 - Works as advertised & useful, but the button labels are all but invisible on my std. config. GT-i9100; they need to be black instead of white.
