SoftLocker is useful for Android tablets only, it is pretty useless on phones! This app was originally tested on the Pandigital Novel, now on the NOOK Color, but *should* work on any tablet (like the Archos, Augen, Viewsonic, or other Android tablets).
When SoftLocker is enabled and the screen is locked, the device remains FULLY ALIVE except for the screen. Don't kill the service with an app killer! It consumes almost zero system resources.

[2013-01-01] A Google User: Excellent app, great developer I guess I've just forgot to post a review earlier, but I've used this app since October and it's been of great help to me. I've owned both a s3 and note 2 and this fixed the lock screen lag ok both devices. |

[2012-11-17] A Google User: It's awesome! It has fixed the lock screen lag issue... Must have for all the Samsung models... But not sure if it has any side effects on battery life... I've not faced any such although but technically speaking if it is refraining the phone from getting in deep sleep mode then it might have some side effect on battery life.. Experts please confirm otherwise it's awesome app to have as far as it has resolved my lock screen lag issue... Thanks once again... |

[2012-11-13] A Google User: Does its job well This app solved my Sleep of Death issue with my ICOO tablet. Only issue is it doesn't starrt up automatically at boot so I must launch it manually. No biggie. Overall, very useful app, thanks! |

[2012-11-06] A Google User: Actually works for the XOOM! Opposed to the Wake my Android app which doesn't work for the XOOM, this app actually works! This is an awesome app and solves the problem of my Android going into deep sleep mode and not able to wake up. It resolves me of having to force restart it every time and therefore hurting the tablet. Thanks a lot! :-) Update 2: After checking the Battery usage of my tablet again, I see that when no other apps are running, this consumes not 15% but only 6-9% of my battery, compared to CPU Wake Lock which uses 15%. What I said before about the battery usage was wrong, it was a glitch in my system from switching the wake lock apps quickly. Because it consumes less battery, I am now back to using this again instead of CPU Wake Lock. This is still the best. :-) |
