Turning on GPS doesn't work on Gingerbread or above unless you have Cyanogenmod.

Lost your phone but GPS is off? Install this app and GPS and Wifi will be automatically enabled the next time you receive an SMS Message that says "gps on".
Turn on wifi with "wifi on"
This will enable higher accuracy for finding the position of your phone.

Use in combination with Wheres my Droid, Seek Droid, or Find My Phone to recover your lost or stolen phone!

You can even install this after you have lost your phone using the market webstore.

Did Work Before Worked when I had my phone rooted with a different ROM, but now that I'm back with the default Samsung JB software not rooted this app says it is enabled via text confirmation, but the gps/wifi is not actually on. 2 stars for working on rooted.. Fix for GS3 JB 4.1.2 and I'll rate higher

WiFi only - Not GPS It only activates wifi on my Samsung Galaxy III. Tried activating GPS several time without success. Uninstalled and reinstalled with same results. Not useful at all to me since there is no point in activating only wifi. My phone is locked so the user wouldn't be able to connect to a wireless network without being able to enter the login credentials

Allowed me to find phone without a problem! This app is a lifesaver. It allowed me to remotely turn on my GPS, so I could use other locating apps (also installed remotely). I highly recommend this app, and will continue to tell others about it. Please troubleshoot, as this app does WORK!!!

doesn't work so far. will try again/update review I have a galaxy nexus purchased directly from google. i was trying this to see if it would work and it does nothing. i was using my google voice number (different from my phone number) to send SMS texts per the instructions, but nothing happened. i will try using someones phone in a bit and will update my review if anything changes for the better. additionally, to be clear, i have tried to use the app with both "GPS satellites" option enabled on my phone, as well as disabled. it seems to do nothing at all.
