It took two tries and then they all deleted after about ten min, it's worth the wait. Other apps failed to delete anything and my phone started acting faster and more efficiently. |

[2013-04-25] A Google User: Worked as adverised Txting my girlfriend had become so painful I started emailing her instead. We had a 10000 message convo so it took over two minutes open. Didn't want to delete all txts and didn't want to only have 3 months of txts. Simply backed up the convo, deleted the conversation (which I could not do with the native messaging app) and restored the most recent messages. Perfect app and free!! |

I had accumulated so many text messages on my phone that I couldn't even reply to any texts or delete the old messages without my phone freezing up. Just as I was about to take it back to the Verizon store to see if there was anything they could do, I searched the app store and found this app. Naturally, I downloaded the app and gave it a shot and it really did the trick! It may have taken a while and it also deleted my locked texts, but I was able to delete 2k texts without the phone freezing up. |

[2012-12-03] A Google User: Thank you sooo much ... this app restored my faith in android. got the damn Android SMS bug today on my phone.a sms came from my service provider and it got hidden. the unread count shows in the icon and in the notification bar it shows as well but not in the inbox. i tried all and only this app worked. lucky i found in a forum abt this app. what you have to do is get a similar to your phone from the same number and make a thread. then you delete by word feature and..its gone...im so relieved...thanks again... |

Just wish SMS Cleaner had the option of pruning threads to specific number of messages, which is the only reason I'm running Message Cleanup. |

[2012-10-03] A Google User: Easy to use I'm set up to receive a lot of texts from DC and Fairfax County governments. I don't have either set up as a contact. So for regular texts, if the Keyword function would search in the "sender" it would be better. For tweets, if the keyword would search who tweeted to be able to delete, this again would be very helpful. If it has this capability, I would give it 4 starts. I haven't tried any other app to know what others are like, therefore reserve to give it 5 stars. Please allow for this, and I will update my rating. Thanks. HTC EVO 4G - Sprint |
